Who doesn’t love Patrick Stewart? Who doesn’t long to be his friend or confidant? Who will have to make due with an upcoming book in which he tells of his childhood and early career? sigh… me. The still-untitled memoir will detail Stewart’s his childhood in Yorkshire, England, “marked by poverty and domestic violence,” as well as his decades on the British stage before becoming a fixture to American audiences with the roles of Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek: Next Generation and Professor Charles Xavier in the X-Men film series. “The idea of writing a memoir based on my life and career has been in my mind for several years, but always the demands of work have pushed it into the background,” Stewart said in a statement. “Today there are no demands, nor is there a prediction when there might be. I am caught in the middle of shooting a new series, Star Trek: Picard, and I passionately want to see it through, but in the meantime…what? Well, I have a beautiful study in our house in Los Angeles, sunny and peaceful. I am 80 in a little over two weeks’ time. I have just treated myself to a gorgeous office chair. And… I have the time. But most importantly, I am loving what I am doing, even though I never thought I would or could.” He’s also doing the audiobook. I seriously usually hate when stars do that b/c they just can’t drop the “reading” cadence. You need a pro. In this case, we got one. SOOOooooo excited. The internet has found a new pair of celebrity doppelgängers: Kellyanne Conway and Patrick Stewart … in drag. About a year ago, Stewart dressed in drag for a screening of his Starz show “Blunt Talk” — and people are just now freaking out over the physical similarities between a dolled-up Stewart, 76, and the 50-year-old counselor to President Trump. Commenting on Stewart’s platinum-blond wig, bright-pink dress and full face of makeup, one Twitter user pointed out, “Patrick Stewart in drag is Kellyanne Conway,” while another commented, “He makes a better Kellyanne Conway than Kellyanne Conway.” Other fans quickly tweeted to “Saturday Night Live,” asking the show to bring in the actor to play Conway. Yes please. The post Patrick Stewart in drag looks just like Kellyanne Conway appeared first on Today's Evil Beet Gossip.

I’m not exactly sure why X-Men: Days of Future Past had its world premiere on
Patrick Stewart is a naturally funny guy, and Seth MacFarlane tries hard to be funny, so it seems natural (?) that they’d team up for a new Starz comedy series called Blunt Talk. Surprisingly, it’s not about weed, but instead about Walter Blunt (played by Stewart), a British TV host who wants to take over America and make his mark. Oh, and he’ll have an alcoholic manservant he brings over from the UK, as well. Sounds awesome, right? Here’s the scoop from Screen Crush: Said MacFarlane of the news: I’m beyond thrilled to be working with Jonathan Ames and Sir Patrick Stewart. Jonathan’s creative talent is formidable, and his writing style is wholly original, hilarious, and provocative. And of course, Patrick Stewart is one of the greatest actors alive today. His skill and versatility are unmatched, and he will excel as the star of his own show. Thank you, Starz, for allowing us to bring Walter Blunt to life! Stewart too chimed in: My career took an abrupt and radical left turn when Seth McFarlane created CIA Deputy Director Avery Bullock on ‘American Dad.’ This new character, Walter Blunt, is not at all like Avery, thank God, because this is live action and I am a Knight of the Realm. Blunt is, however, much smarter than Avery and has his own TV show, which has to be better than being Deputy Director of the CIA. Apparently Starz execs were pretty thrilled with the show premise enough to give it a 20 episode order, which is impressive! I would watch Patrick Stewart in pretty much anything, though, so I’ll totally be into this. Also, if I’m remembering right, Patrick did a voice role on Family Guy before, so there is a bit of a precedent there! Follow us on Twitter | Facebook
