Jennifer Garner isn’t dating her accountant, which is just too bad
Embed from Getty Images Last week, photos came out of Jennifer Garner out with a handsome tall dark-haired man, which seems like her type judging by her two husbands, who was said to be her accountant. The Daily Mail ran a story trying to cook up a romance between the two, but I didn’t mention it because it seemed like there was nothing there. She looked very happy, but she often looks happy when she’s papped for whatever reason. Plus, it was already established that the guy was her accountant. Maybe he just told her how to save a ton on taxes or something. One simple trick. The US Government hates him! Star ran the story this week in their current edition and Gossip Cop got a denial. The guy wasn’t her accountant, The Daily Mail got that detail wrong and then Star ran with it, he’s the husband of her manager, who was out with them at the time. Garner was “spotted with the finance fox outside of office hours on June 4 at SoHo House in Malibu,” writes Star. A so-called “spy” is quoted as saying, “They were with a friend, but Jen didn’t seem to care. She had on the biggest grin, batting her lashes and giggling at all of his jokes. She just melted.” The magazine even describes Garner as “acting more like a googly-eyed teen” than a mother of three. And what about estranged husband Ben Affleck? “Ben knows he doesn’t have a leg to stand on, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t jealous,” a supposed “pal” claims. “He’s got his eye on this guy.” Uh, actually, he doesn’t, and he doesn’t need to. There is nothing going on between Garner and the man Star can’t even identify by name. Gossip Cop has exclusively learned that the guy in question is actually the husband of Garner’s longtime manager. What’s more is that he isn’t even the star’s accountant. Basically, Star took a photo of Garner, ignored the fact that the aforementioned “friend” with her was her manager, and tried to make it look like she was dating someone who is very much married. And that means the Affleck quotes are either made up or from a very misinformed “pal.” In any case, the tabloid couldn’t be more wrong here. [From Gossip Cop] Garner does look kind of thrilled to be out with that guy, you can see why the tabloids would assume there’s something going on. In the photos that Daily Mail ran you couldn’t even see that there was another person with them, although it was mentioned. However I’ve seen other photos of Jennifer Garner out with people, like the one of her with a friend last week (below), and she beams at her female friend like that too. I would love it if Garner dated someone new and pulled a Taylor Swift complete with a pap rollout. That would tell Ben she’s over it. Alas, it’s not to be. Earlier this week, Radar Online reported that Ben was delaying the divorce because he didn’t want to pony up and part with a large chunk of his fortune. That actually makes sense to me, because it’s got to be complicated and expensive to divide their assets. However GC also got a denial on that one. Their source used some curious wording though. They said “there’s real love and admiration” between them but they’re not planning to reconcile. From all that we’ve seen of their back and forth in the celebrity-friendly press, it sounds like they’re still unsure when and if they’re going to divorce. People: Ben Affleck wants Jennifer Garner back, but she’s not ready
We just saw photos and video of Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck with their kids in Paris, near where Ben is filming (and now executive producing) Justice League. They’re now in London I believe. Instead of leaving us to draw our own conclusions about the state of their relationship and whether they’re back together or just trying to show a united front for their kids, Jen’s pr team is spelling it out: he wants her back and she’s supposedly reticent. Yeah right. Nearly a year after Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner announced their split, the two have continued to maintain a close relationship: living together, going on weekend outings with their kids and even vacationing as a family – including a trip to Paris last week. Is a reconciliation in their future? “Ben wants Jen back,” a source close to Garner tells PEOPLE in this week’s issue, with a second source adding, “Ben wants to get back together. He wants her back.” But while the two have yet to file for divorce and have remained friendly, the source close to Garner says they haven’t rekindled their romance. “Jen is not ready to take Ben back,” says the source. “Ben has never been good alone and isn’t now either. But he is constantly working on himself. He has made big changes.” [From People] This story is from Garner, obviously, and it’s even sourced to her. She’s claiming that he’s changed and she’s preparing to announce that they’re back together. It’s all very predictable, as is her status as a doormat. Maybe that’s unfair to her, a lot of women take their husbands back after various Beckys, but Ben cheated with their damn nanny! Even if they were separated at the time, that’s the lowest. I do think the fame-hungry nanny forced Garner’s hand by going public and that Garner’s type A personality made her try to control the narrative through every up and down in their relationship. That’s still playing out, and it seems she hasn’t realized when to just keep things to herself. We didn’t need to know this. She could have just taken him back and then given an interview sometime in the fall confirming it. By that time they’ll probably be separated again anyway. When Rupert Murdoch married Wendi Deng in 1999, it was controversial. Murdoch was then a spry 68-year-old and Wendi was 31. At the time, it was his third marriage and her second. Deng has always been accused of trading in lovers and husbands for more money and power, and many side-eyed the fact that Deng had been the “homewrecker” two times in a row, breaking up her first husband’s marriage and then being the “other woman” in Murdoch’s second marriage. When the Deng-Murdoch marriage fell apart back in 2014, there were once again widespread rumors that Deng had already moved on to another more powerful lover, this time the very married Tony Blair. I don’t know what happened between Deng and Blair, but if it was ever something, it’s probably over now. Because Wendi Deng is reportedly dating… Vladimir Putin. How’s this for a new couple alert? The rumor circulating around the corridors of power — from Washington, D.C., to Europe and Asia — is that Vladimir Putin and Wendi Deng, Rupert Murdoch’s ex-wife, are dating. Reports of the pair have been floating around for years, ever since their respective divorces in 2014 and 2013. One insider close to the powerful leader tells Us Weekly the relationship is “serious.” The controversial Russian president, 63, was previously married to Lyudmila Putina for 30 years, with whom he shares daughters Maria, 30, and Yekaterina, 29. The Kremlin confirmed their divorce in April 2014. The politician rarely discusses his children, but during an annual news conference in December 2015, he boasted about his daughters to thousands of reporters, before shutting down more personal questions. “They studied only at Russian universities. I am proud of them. They continue to study and work. My daughters speak three European languages fluently. One of them can even speak one or two Oriental languages. They are making their first steps and are successful,” he told the crowd during the rare moment, before stating: “I never discuss questions related to my family. They are not involved in business or politics. They are not pushing for this.” Following Lyudmila and Putin’s split, the president was rumored to be dating Russian gymnast Alina Kabaeva. Putin was often featured in European gossip sites after Kabaeva stepped out in early 2015 looking “fuller,” igniting pregnancy rumors. Swiss newspaper Bild then reported that Putin had missed appearances because he had traveled to Switzerland to be by Kabaeva’s side, where she allegedly gave birth to their child at a Swiss hospital in March 2015. The Kremlin has repeatedly denied the rumors. Deng has yet to be spotted looking romantic with the Russian leader, but was seen boarding her pal Roman Abramovich’s yacht in St. Bart’s on Monday, March 28. Abramovich also happens to be friends with Putin. (According to the Daily Mail, the billionaire Chelsea Football Club owner reportedly gifted the president with a $35 million yacht in January.) And I still believe that Putin was dealing with that gymnast, Alina Kabaeva. In fact, that’s why the news surprised me so much – I was sure that if we ever heard anything else about Putin’s personal life, it was going to be that he married his young gymnast. As for the Deng-Putin power couple… I suspect they’ve both met their match. And it will either be perfect or it will be an utter disaster, nothing in between.
