Lamar Odom: Intervention Staged By Family! NBA Star Peaces Out in a Hurry!

Desperate to help any way that they can, Lamar Odom’s family staged an intervention in New York City Friday night, according to reports. Suffice it to say, this did not go over well. In response to the former NBA star’s recent troubling behavior, his family decided to step in and try to get him the help he badly needs. A source quoted by Us Weekly confirms that the mediation took place on Friday night with several of Odom’s close family members. Lamar’s longtime partner Liza Morales, the two children she has with Lamar, his aunt JaNean Mercer, and several cousins were involved. Good for them for stepping up, but … it didn’t take. “Lamar was doing really bad and his family was going to stage an intervention on Friday,” the insider tells the celebrity news magazine. According to a separate report from Extra, the retired L.A. Lakers baller “was extremely surprised” by this and quickly “left the location.” Lamar Odom Learns to Walk Sad, since an intervention is desperately needed. Last fall, Odom overdosed and almost died in a Nevada brothel. He was in such rough shape that had to re-learn how to walk and speak (above). You’d think that would straighten him out. No. A drunk Odom was kicked off a flight from LAX to NYC earlier this month after he reportedly got so hammered that he vomited on the plane. Witnesses say the 36-year-old stopped at a bar in Santa Monica prior to heading to LAX, where he “got really angry and started getting drunk.” “It’s really sad,” the insider said, watching Odom spiral out of control and further into the abyss. “He was doing so well in his [rehab] programs.”  He was? Khloe recently filed to divorce Lamar a second time. Shortly after the plane incident, her mom Kris Jenner said she was surprised by the news. “I don’t know what happened. It was a big surprise to me,” Jenner said. “All I can say is I want the very best for him. He’s like my son.” “He’s a part of my family and I adore him. He’s the greatest guy in the world and anybody that knows him will tell you the same thing.”  Odom has recently been spotted at numerous NYC strip clubs, having been kicked out of Khloe’s rental house, allegedly for drug use. What more is there to say at this point? Unless someone can get through to him, it feels inevitable that the same, sad pattern will continue. Khloe Kardashian KICKED ME OUT, Says Lamar Odom’s Father

While Khloe Kardashian keeps teasing the media on whether or not she plans to reconcile with estranged husband Lamar Odom, her father-in-law Joe Odom has claimed that she kicked him out of his home last year. Joe, a veteran who suffers from PTSD and pneumonia, lived in a $4,000-a-month home with his wife Cecelia in Los Angeles, the rent on which his son Lamar paid for 10 years. But when Lamar fell into a coma following a drug overdose last November, Khloe took over her husband’s finances and cut Joe off, he told the Post. “She disrespected me,” Lamar’s dad told the paper. “She decided to kick me out of my home when Lamar was in hospital in Nevada.” Joe said the bad news was not delivered by Khloe, but by accountants. “Khloe didn’t even have the guts to tell me herself that my rent wasn’t going to be paid anymore,” he said. “She got the guys who handle Lamar’s money to call me and they said the rent wouldn’t be paid, I gotta move and my phone was going to get cut off.” View Slideshow: Khloe Kardashian & Lamar Odom: Romance Rewind … Then Unwind Joe and his wife had no choice but to move back to Brooklyn, where they are struggling financially. Khloe Kardashian is dropping truth bombs left and right these days. We’ve recently learned that Khloe likes dirty talk during sex and also that she once hid under the bed while Kris and Bruce Jenner got it on. Gross and grosser, we know. Now, in a manifesto posted to Instagram, the reality star has gone off on all the negative influences in her life. First, Khloe shared a photo of the following quote: “You never really see how toxic someone is until you breathe fresher air.” Then, without naming names or getting very specific, Khloe added in her own words: Let me remind you that we don’t need anybody’s approval to be happy in life. It’s on you to validate and accept your version of happiness. Take the control back. You choose your life. Don’t let anyone else decide for you. We are no victims to life. No prisoners. But we do become victims and prisoners to the people we choose to surround ourselves with. We tend to become content, passive and blind within our relationships. Whether it be a family member, business partner, friend or a lover. Out of comfort and possibly fear. The unknown will leave you stuck in a bad situation. Choosing comfort over your own happiness. Khloe Kardashian has a lot to share with the world. The reality star has come out with a memoir titled "Strong Looks Better Naked," passing along advice to fans that range from weight loss techniques to relationship goals. What are the book's main takeaways? To save you time and money, we've already read the book and we've taken away the following six lessons from it… 1. Khloe Hated Kris Humphries At one point, she references her “least favorite” ex of sister Kim and writes of how this person started “started complaining about life at home,” adding: ‘Why don’t you cook for me?’ he told Kim. ‘Khloe cooks for Lamar all the time.’ This happened in front of me, and it really upset me. I told him, ‘That is so rude! How dare you compare our relationships? And why are you being so aggressive? The right thing to do is to ask Kim if she’d consider cooking for you from time to time.’ He didn’t treat Kim with respect; he wasn’t kind, and unfortunately, he didn’t get my point, which I guess is one of the many reasons he is an ex.” 2. She Couldn’t Accept Her Father’s Death She was in denial about her dad’s death: “At the funeral, though, when I saw my father in his casket, I completely fell apart. I don’t remember the details, but apparently I was an emotional wreck, and I’m told that I was so distraught I actually passed out. At one point I fell to the floor kick and screaming, and I had to be sedated. It was really intense. I refused to believe my father was gone. I just wanted to believe it was all just a bad dream.” 3. She Went Through a Wild Phase Following the previously-listed entry, Khloe wrote: “That’s when the partying started.” She goes into detail about her hard-drinking ways not long after her dad’s passing. 4. She Loves Rob, But… “I love him and he knows I love him, but he fell into a deep, dark place and couldn’t find his way back. I’ve tried to help him, as has the entire family, but our efforts have largely been in vain. From time to time, though, he decides he’s going to fix things his way, and he plunges in headfirst. Inevitably, it doesn’t work.” 5. She Sympathized with Her Stepfather, But… Upon learning Bruce wanted to become CAITLYN Jenner, Khloe struggled to accept the change: “I had lost my father, and now I was losing Bruce. Bruce wanted to be a woman and I could only imagine the battle raging inside of his soul. My heart went out to him. But, I saw the transformation as a huge loss.” 6. She Will Always Love Lamar Odom We all know ups and major downs she’s been through with Lamar Odom, but she ended the book with this acknowledgement: “Thank you to Lamar for giving me some of the best years of my life and for everything you taught me about being strong.
