A few months back, the thin actress was tired of being criticized for her trademark super skinny celebrity status, so she clarified a few things: I feel great about my body. People always tell me to eat a burger — I love burgers! If I were to gain 10 pounds, I’d be asked why I got fat. I’m thin — and I’m good with that. People need to stop with the body shaming! I won’t let what anyone says stop me from enjoying my life. I truly feel I need to constantly prove myself in this business. Olivia Wilde: ‘Girls don’t get dressed up for guys; we get dressed up for girls’

Olivia Wilde recently shared some of her beauty secrets with People magazine and I can only hope if I follow them I will look as radiant as she does. Olivia used the interview to do a little shilling for Revlon, for which she is a spokesperson, but she does offer some pretty helpful tips. She says that Jason “doesn’t love it” when she wears red lipstick to channel her inner Sophia Loren, but I’m sure he can look past that. It’s like a tiny scratch on a Bentley. Here are some highlights from the interview: On men and makeup: “All men are terrified of lipstick. But girls don’t get dressed up for guys; we get dressed up for girls. So I wear whatever I think looks best.” On her beauty inspiration: “I like to be bold on the red carpet, and the benefit of working with so many brilliant makeup artists is that I get to ask a lot of questions and say, ‘okay so when I go out next week to that birthday party I am going to try my own version of this with my own tools.’” On her day-to-day look: “I don’t leave the house without a little foundation, concealer and mascara [on]. I think that for a lot of women it’s not about disguising yourself, it’s just about giving yourself a little bump in confidence.” On the power of makeup: “The older I get, the more I get to know what works best for me. Makeup is not about changing who you are, it’s about understanding your face and highlighting your best features.” [From People] I love Olivia, but I have to disagree on a few things. I did an informal poll of my Facebook friends and random Tinder connections and not one man told me he was “terrified” of lipstick. Maybe Jason had some sort of traumatic experience with lipstick as a child. Also, the only woman I get dressed up for is myself. I have also been known to get dolled up to woo the opposite sex, so I think she may be barking up the wrong tree. She is right about using makeup to highlight your best features. She’s obviously a pro at that. Sadly, it was announced on Wednesday that Olivia’s HBO series, Vinyl, was cancelled after only one season. The show, which followed the ups and (mostly) downs of a rock ’n’ roll record label in the 1970s was produced by Martin Scorcese and Mick Jagger, and I thought it was pretty good. And, of course, there’s all kinds of unresolved storylines, damn it. I hope Mick’s son, James, who played a punk singer, shows up somewhere soon. He’s a hottie. I hope Olivia’s merkin stylist can get another gig somewhere as well. Olivia took the news in stride, using Twitter to thank fans for their support. Amber Heard & Johnny Depp’s restraining order hearing has been postponed

I was being completely selfish about Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s scheduled restraining order hearing. All I kept thinking was, “Is every entertainment journalist and gossip blogger going to have to hang around for hours on a Friday afternoon and evening to learn the details about the hearing?” But it looks like the much-anticipated hearing has been postponed. And Amber Heard wants you to know that it wasn’t her call. The postponement came after a conference call between Depp’s lawyer, Laura Wasser, Amber’s lawyer and the judge. Wasser asked for the continuance and Wasser also wanted the judge to give both sides to talk about a settlement. Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s hearing on domestic violence claims has been pushed to August, and a temporary restraining order against the actor has been reissued, PEOPLE has confirmed. The former couple were set to face off in a Los Angeles courtroom to address Heard’s domestic violence restraining order request. The hearing “was advanced and vacated,” the L.A. County Superior Court said in a statement after a phone conference involving Depp and Heard’s lawyers. The official hearing on Heard’s permanent restraining order request has been rescheduled for Aug. 15 and 16, but a status conference has been set for Aug. 2. Heard and Depp are not required to attended the status conference. A source tells PEOPLE that Depp’s attorney Laura Wasser asked for a continuance to postpone the hearing. [From People] It doesn’t surprise me that the hearing has been postponed, although it would surprise me if Amber and her lawyers were seriously considering a settlement. Just my opinion: Amber has Depp by the short hairs and she could probably run the table for a possible settlement, but everything seems to indicate that she wants her day in court. Will Amber hold out until August? It could go either way, depending on Depp’s ability to agree to Amber’s terms, I would guess. In the lead-up to the postponement, Amber and Johnny’s teams were sniping at each other in the press too. TMZ reported earlier Thursday afternoon that Depp wanted the postponement and he was willing to come to the table and negotiate a settlement for everything, including spousal support. Amber’s team then leaked stories about how she would never settle and that Depp is “terrified about what she’ll say on the stand.” There was also some question about why Amber was in LA this week when she had told everybody that she would be in London for costume fittings. According to TMZ, she returned to LA early because the Aquaman/Justice League costumers thought she was too skinny for a fitting. Apparently, she’s lost 20 pounds in the past few months just from the stress. I called it weeks ago! As soon as Gigi Hadid started getting pap’d in LA and New York solo, looking sort of sad and out of sorts, I knew that something was up. I even speculated – based off of some tabloid reporting – that Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid were through last week. And now E! News is confirming it. Zayn and Gigi are over after seven months together. They’re young and impulsive and “sources” believe that it’s possible they may get back together. Another young Hollywood couple has decided to call it quits. E! News exclusively confirms that model Gigi Hadid and singer Zayn Malik have broken up after dating for roughly seven months. While the reason behind their split remains unknown at the moment, a source tells us that there has been some rough patches within the relationship for a bit now. “During her birthday they were fighting,” an insider tells E! News, adding that they weren’t doing well then, and have “broken up and got back together a few times.” Another source confirms the breakup, but also reveals that there may be a reconciliation in the near future, telling E! News, “Zayn and Gigi did break up, but they can likely get back together tomorrow. It’s all very unclear what’s going on between them now. They been having some issues lately that involved communication and getting along.” The source adds, “Gigi is really sad about this, though, and in a way would like to work it out. It’s more about that constant contact with Zayn that she misses and they did get very close.” [From E! News] Us Weekly confirmed the split but they had no new details. The vibe I was getting – and which I’m still getting – is that Zayn pulled the plug for unknown reasons. I said last week that he’s crazy if he thinks he can upgrade to a bigger, more high-profile model, and all of the Zayn-loonies made it sound like Zayn and Gigi were never going to last because reasons. Whatever, y’all. I thought they were perfect together, and I also thought that Gigi helped Zayn get to the next level after he left One Direction. Before Gigi, many saw him as just some punk who made a terrible career decision. Considering that Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris’s breakup went from zero to DRAMA in the span of an hour on Wednesday, it’s sort of interesting that Calvin is trying to reclaim the higher ground. After some particularly juicy gossip came out about the breakup last night, Calvin tweeted this: The only truth here is that a relationship came to an end & what remains is a huge amount of love and respect — Calvin Harris (@CalvinHarris) June 2, 2016 “A huge amount of love and respect…” Sure. For what it’s worth, I think they really did care about each other. I know there were always claims that this was all a contractual relationship, but I think they were for real. And now she’s heartbroken and he’s doing damage control and their teams are leaking damaging stories and it’s all so petty and melodramatic and amazing. Speaking of, as I covered earlier today, People Magazine had a bitchy he-said/she-said story last night, with Swifty sources claiming that Calvin dumped Swifty because he was intimidated by her success. This is what Page Six had to say about that: Calvin Harris breaking up with Taylor Swift because he’s “intimidated by her success is a bunch of crap,” a source close to the DJ told Page Six. “She broke up with him this week,” the source said. “She gave a bulls - - t excuse about her career. He was ring shopping.” A friend of Swift’s had told People magazine that Harris was “intimidated” by her success and “would not attend any events where she was being honored.” But another source told us, “He’s not intimidated. He’s a global success.” The couple dated for 15 months. [From Page Six] Love it. Love everything about it! And no, I don’t believe he was ring-shopping. And no, I don’t believe Taylor dumped Calvin. Taylor only acts this crazy when she’s the one who gets dumped, and all of the other sources are still sticking to the original story, that he dumped her last week. Still, E! News’ sources claim that Calvin was unhappy for months: For Calvin Harris, the spark in his relationship with Taylor Swift had fizzled out long before he called it quits, E! News has learned. “Adam has been bored for a while and was hoping the spark would come back but it hasn’t,” a source told E! News exclusively Thursday. “Friends were even surprised it lasted this long because of the lack of chemistry.” [From E! News] I do think that Calvin Harris’s pre-Swifty girlfriends were “sexy” ladies, more of the model/bombshell variety. And while I love Swifty, she has always come across as somewhat asexual, like she’s more about cats, baking and antiquing.
