Netflix cuts ‘fake suicide’ scene from S6 of The Office

There is a lot of talk about shows being rebooted and of course The Office is always on the tip of everyone’s tongue.  But the writers would have to tailor their style somewhat to fit the unique demands of today’s more sensitive viewer. Netflix says they have taken a scene out of the Season 6 Halloween episode of The Office.  The scene is at the shows open, prior to the opening theme song (known as the cold open) where Michael pretends to have hanged himself. In the scene Dunder Mifflin Scranton branch has put together a haunted house for local kids in their warehouse. Michael, unhappy with the lackluster decorations, decides to take things up a notch.  So after some fiddling around, he arranges for himself to drop from the ceiling on a fake noose, wriggling for a moment before imparting a confusing message about seeking mental health care if you need it. The scene actually upset viewers back in 2009, so it’s certainly going to today. Word is there are uploads of the scene around, but I wasn’t interested in seeing it or looking for it. ‘Friends’ and ‘The Office’ leaving Netflix

This is way more relevant than some of you might think.  Hear me out. Netflix is currently in possession of all 11 seasons of Friends and all 10 seasons of The Office. And believe it or not, they are the streaming services highest watched shows.  Over all new and old content. It seems millennials just love that 90’s humor and binge the two shows constantly. So, naturally, NBC/Time Warner looks at that and says WTF, why are we letting other people get all the cheddar for our shows? Sure, you can watch them on NBC as well, but to have them exclusively… that’s the motts. So word is The Office will leave Netflix in December of this year (2019, for our high readers) and Friends is likely to follow suit soon after.  At which time NBC will likely try and charge you for access to yet ANOTHER app to see shows on.  I really need this shit streamlined. I can’t even keep track of what channel or app I watch things on.  #Firstworldproblems The post ‘Friends’ and ‘The Office’ leaving Netflix appeared first on Today's Evil Beet Gossip.

NBC reportedly eyeing ‘The Office’ revival

According to TV Line, NBC is considering revisiting “The Office” in the 2018-2019 season. The series would be a continuation of the previous one, which went off the air in 2013. Sources claim “The Office” revival would feature a mix of old and new cast members, though it’s not clear which original stars will be returning to the show. TV Line reported that Steve Carell, who played Dunder Mifflin, Scranton, Pa., office’s regional manager Michael Scott for seven of nine seasons, will not appear. NBC executives are reportedly hard at work looking for his replacement. The network declined to comment on reports that a “The Office” revival is in the works. Bob Greenblatt, the network president, told reporters a month before the premiere of the “Will & Grace” reboot that “The Office” was on his wishlist for future reboots, along with “30 Rock.” The post NBC reportedly eyeing ‘The Office’ revival appeared first on Today's Evil Beet Gossip.

Emily Blunt and John Krasinski Welcome Second Child!

Move over, America. You now need to share your birthday with the offspring of one of our favorite famous couples. Sort of. Indeed, Emily Blunt and John Krasinski just welcomed their second child into the world! She doesn’t have the same birthday as the United States, but the world has now been made known about her existence on July Fourth. That’s kind of the same thing. “What better way to celebrate the 4th… than to announce our 4th family member!!!” Krasinski Tweeted this morning, adding: “2 weeks ago we met our beautiful daughter Violet #Happy4th.” The Girl on the Train star and The Office alum are already parents to a girl named Hazel. It’s too early to tell how little Hazel is adjusting to life as a big sister, but this is what Blunt told E! News about the prospect back in April: “She’s sort of coming around to it. “She sort of dismissed the idea initially and she just responded with, ‘Nope.’ ‘Nope,’ flat out! We’ve bought her every single ‘I’m a big sister’ book that’s out there and she’s a bookworm, so she’s coming around.” Blunt and Krasinski got married in 2010. A rep for the stars confirmed that the latter was expecting baby number-two in January; about a month later, Blunt debuted her baby bump at the 2016 Academy Awards. “The first pregnancy is the most self-indulgent thing in the world because you get massages and prenatal yoga and hypnotherapy CDs,” Blunt told C Magazine this spring. How so? “During this one I forget that I’m even pregnant. I’m hoisting my 2-year-old around!” she explained. We send our very best wishes to two stars who appear to be as normal as any couple in Hollywood.  Welcome to the world, Violet! View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Welcomed Babies in 2016
