Lady Gaga took to Reddit to do an AMA (“Ask Me Anything”). Titling the post, “I am Lady Gaga. AMAA. Let’s go Cheek To Cheek like I did with Tony Bennett on my number one album.” (gag me — or maybe gag-a me), Gaga was thrilled to answer all kinds of questions from her fans…except anything to do with R. Kelly and Terry Richardson. The way Reddit works is you post something, and depending on how much people love or hate it, they vote the post up or down. The top most voted question in Lady Gaga’s AMA is currently unanswered by Gaga, and it is: Just wondering why you would want to work with R Kelly who was accused dozens of times for sexual assault, and Terry Richardson who was also accused several times for sexual assault, for your (cancelled) music video, which some have seen as a literal ad for rape? In the video you say “Will I ever walk again?” and R Kelly as the doctor says “Yes, if you let me do whatever I want with your body,” and “when you wake up you’ll be pregnant”. Then there are scenes with your “unconscious” body when R Kelly and the nurses are all climbing over you. You say you’re an ambassador for youth, and you run a youth “charity”, so why would you do something like that, knowing millions of young girls worldwide are watching your every move? Because it’s at the top, it means it’s the question people would most like her to address; Gaga hasn’t typed a single word about it. I’m disappointed, but not surprised. I’d really love to know her answer. As for what she did answer: questions about her meat dress (it was made by a butcher and held together with “some fishing line”), what her guilty pleasure music is (Garth Brooks), and what her hobbies are (“healing, meditation, and helping to take care of those around me”), as well as cooking.
