Yesterday we discussed a new interview that Charlie Sheen did with TMZ. Charlie trashed his ex wife, Brooke Mueller, and the California Department of Child and Family Services, for granting Brooke overnight visits with their four year-old twin boys. Charlie claimed that Brooke was surprisingly not sober after her 21st stint in rehab (that he paid for), and that she was emotionally damaging and physically endangering their children, Max and Bob. According to Charlie, his sons are acting out at school and at their primary home, with his ex, Denise Richards. He claimed that the twins’ bad behavior is a direct result of spending time with their addict mom. (Takes one to know one, right?) He is also seeking full custody.
Charlie’s interview was filled with his typical hyperbole and grandiosity. He called Brooke an “evil whore” who lived in a “house of horrors,” and claimed that DCFS must be taking bribes from Brooke. The reports from DCFS have been in Brooke’s favor and are “glowing.” Very suspiciously, right after Charlie made those accusations public, DCFS denied him scheduled visitation with the boys. It seemed punitive on their part.
Brooke is not taking Charlie’s claims lightly. She sought an emergency restraining order against Charlie, which was denied. She was told to make her case in front of a judge next month. In her petition for a restraining order, Brooke claimed that she’s been sober for seven months, that Charlie is angry she hasn’t relapsed, and that he’s trying to keep her boys staying with Denise Richards:

Her petition cited Sheen as saying: “There will be a reckoning. There will be a whirlwind. That they will all reap desperate begging for my forgiveness. You’ve all been warned….I will exercise every resource at my disposal. I will, I will, I will empty my entire war chest and if that can’t get it done, I know a guy who can.”
Mueller also claimed that she has been clean for over seven months and is trying to lead a life of sobriety for their two children.
“I have struggled with addiction. I successfully completed a lengthy in-patient rehabilitation this year and I have been substance free for seven months,” she said in documents.
“I have reached out repeatedly to Charlie Sheen seeking that we find peace for the sake of our children over the past seven month only to be told, “lose my number douche bag.” Petitioner is seriously upset that I am in recovery and have successfully maintained my sobriety. I am doing so for our children and myself. I love our children more than anyone can imagine. I am fighting for them everyday. I do not want them to have two severely drug addicted parents.
“Charlie Sheen is furious that I am doing so well, he had hoped I would relapse in order to continue his long sought quest to have all his children under one roof with his former wife.”
A Los Angeles Superior Court judge refused to issue an emergency restraining order against the Anger Management star and instead set a hearing for next month, where the rehabbed socialite will have to make her case in person.

Charlie made that veiled threat about emptying his “war chest” at the end of his interview with TMZ, it’s all there for people to hear.
Brooke isn’t stopping with just a restraining order request. She’s also claiming that Charlie violated the gag order in their divorce decree, and that he should face jail time and reduced visitation with the boys. TMZ has a follow-up report revealing that Brooke’s lawyer has subpoenaed their video and audio interviews with Charlie to use for her case.
As little as two years ago, maybe more recently, Charlie and Brooke were still drugging together around their boys. Check out this ET interview we covered at the time, they were both wasted on camera talking about their amicable coparenting.
I don’t know where to start with this. This does change my opinion of Brooke very slightly, but it doesn’t make me believe that she’s a competent mom by any stretch. The damage that she and Charlie have already done to these boys is likely irreparable and they’re surely better off with Denise, even if Brooke is telling the truth and she’s sober. I don’t understand how Brooke is getting unsupervised overnight visits at this point. It seems like a monitor should be present.
As many of you mentioned yesterday, when Charlie starts going to the press and rallying against something, it’s a sign that he’s drugging. Even if Brooke is sober (doubtful, but let’s pose that scenario), and even if Charlie is blitzed, that doesn’t mean that Charlie’s basic premise is wrong. Brooke has been a sh*t mom for years. If she’s truly sober, that doesn’t mean she’s transformed into a good mom or that being around her is healthy for the twins. And in no way would I suggest that Charlie’s house is a great place for kids either. At least they have Denise Richards to care for them in a stable, loving environment. Hopefully the judge will recognize that both parents are incompetent and that the boys should stay with Denise.
Plus, let’s not forget Brooke’s motivation. If she gets custody, she gets $55,000 a month in child support. She’s tried and failed several times to have the boys transferred to her family’s care for that purpose.
After I wrote all that, Radar released more details of Brooke’s restraining order. She claims to have hired round-the-clock security and to fear for her safety after Sheen said he would post his own security guards outside her home when the boys were there. Remember Denise Richards’ divorce decree against Charlie Sheen and how everyone thought she was exaggerating? The difference is that Denise is much more credible.
