Bradley Cooper & Irina Shayk got into a public tiff at Wimbledon on Sunday

Several of you guys wanted to talk about this, so you better click & comment! Because when I saw this story earlier this morning, I didn’t give a crap. Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk were in London for a week to attend Wimbledon games. They were spotted nearly every day, mostly at the men’s matches. They attended Andy Murray’s final on Sunday, and Bradley and Irina were seated just next to Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter. Suddenly, everything seemed to go wrong for B-Coop and Irina. She turned stone-faced at one point, even though Bradley was trying to make her laugh. She ignored him when he spoke to her. Some even thought she was crying at one point. What was this all about? Did Bradley say something rude to her? Was Bradley’s ex-girlfriend Suki Waterhouse – who was also in attendance – an issue in the fight? Was there some kind of breakdown in (alleged!) contractual negotiations? So…? Whatever happened between them, everything’s fine now. Until we learn two weeks from now that they actually broke up and suddenly Bradley is with some new swimwear/lingerie model. Why didn’t Andy Murray & Serena Williams dance together at the Wimbledon dinner?

Here are some photos from last night’s Wimbledon Champions Dinner in London. Serena Williams was there, as she picked up her 22nd Grand Slam at Wimbledon, plus Serena and Venus won the doubles tournament too. I can’t find the ID on Serena’s dress, but it doesn’t really look like a major designer piece. My guess is that she either designed it herself or she just picked up something in London. I’m also including photos of Andy Murray with his wife Kim Sears/Murray at the event. Kim wore Jenny Packham, the same designer who did Kim’s gold dress at the final. While I’m incredibly pleased for both Murray and Serena Williams on their Grand Slam wins, something about this event bothered me. It’s become a tradition for the Wimbledon singles winners to dance together on stage at the Champions Dinner. Last year, that meant Serena danced with Novak Djokovic in what was one of the funniest moments to ever come out of the Champions Dinner. It’s sort of charming that even though Novak is brilliant on the court, he can’t dance AT ALL. But since it’s tradition, Novak went up there and made the most of it and had fun and it was sweet and cute. But this year, Andy Murray refused. When asked about the dance ahead of the Champions Dinner, Andy said: “No, no, it can go into retirement again. The next winners can try it again but no dance for me tonight unless I’ve had a few glasses of champagne. And then it’s possible.” I haven’t seen any videos of the dance and I really don’t think it happened. I understand that Murray was probably trying to be self-deprecating, but if he refused to dance with Serena, is that as rude as I think it is? Photos courtesy of Fame/Flynet and WENN.

Anderson Cooper takes down Florida’s Attorney General a second time

After an emotional statement on Monday’s Anderson Copper 360 about the tragedy in Orlando, on Tuesday Cooper grilled Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi over her anti-gay record. Mainly, he questioned her championing herself as a voice for the LGBTQ community by establishing a hotline for spouses when Bondi had actively worked to limit gay rights. Bondi’s administration had used anti-gay rhetoric to fight same sex marriage in court, and Anderson brought it up to her. Bondi grew flustered and the interview, which you can watch here, ended professionally but tersely. After the segment aired, Bondi called in to WOR 710 radio and blamed Cooper for misleading her about the interview’s objective and editing her in a bad light. One problem, Cooper had his receipts and showed them on air that night. Fighting words. Anderson Cooper responded on Wednesday, June 15, to Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi’s claims that their interview in the wake of the Orlando nightclub shooting, which aired live on CNN the previous day, was edited to portray her in a bad light. “She’s either mistaken or she’s not telling the truth,” the CNN host said on his show, Anderson Cooper 360. “Let’s be real here. Ms. Bondi’s big complaint seems to be that I asked in the wake of a massacre of gay and lesbian citizens about her new statements about the gay community and about her old ones.” Bondi claimed during a radio interview with WOR 710 in New York on Wednesday that she was led to believe that the interview with Cooper would focus on donation scams affecting the victims and their families. Instead, “when he posted the clip [online], he cut out the entire first portion that discussed people donating to legitimate funds,” she said, and insisted that all the interview did was “encourage anger and hate.” (CNN.com later posted the interview online in its entirety.) “There’s a time and place for everything, but yesterday wasn’t the time nor the place in front of a hospital when we could have been helping victims,” Bondi added. “For the record, my interview was not filled with any anger,” Cooper responded on air on Wednesday. “My job is to hold people accountable, and if on Sunday a politician is talking about love and about embracing ‘our LGBT community,’ I don’t think it’s unfair to look at their record and see if they have ever actually spoken that way publicly before, which I’ve never heard her say.” “The fact is Attorney General Bondi signed off on a 2014 federal court brief that claimed married gay people would ‘impose significant public harm.’ Harm. She spent hundreds of thousands in taxpayer money, gay and straight taxpayers’ money, trying to keep gays and lesbians from getting the right to marry,” he continued. “Good people can and do disagree on that issue — everyone has the right to their own opinion, thank goodness — but Miss Bondi is championing right now her efforts to help survivors. With the very right which allows gay spouses to bury their dead loved ones — that’s a right that would not exist if Miss Bondi had her way. I think it’s fair to ask her about that. There is an irony in that.” [From Us Magazine] I am so tired of the “time and place” argument to waylay discussions about gun and LGBTQ rights. I think when you can point to the result of these antiquated views and say, “that, right there,” it is the perfect time to hold a dialogue. Bondi did much more damage with her radio response than she did in the initial interview. Even without Cooper countering her every claim, she acted against her own argument that it wasn’t the time or place. She asserted Cooper stirred up anger and hate but she missed the point, Cooper’s questions were borne of the anger from the LGBTQ community. She could have admitted that her stance has changed and discussed what her office would do going forward but instead decided to call in for a proper pout to a radio station. Cooper said he does not like to make himself the story but he felt strongly about addressing her claims. I’m very glad he did. Just like Connecticut’s Rep Chris Murphy’s filibuster to get gun legislation on the floor, we need to keep up the pressure to have a real discourse that brings about a solution to mass shootings. Amber Rose: The Kardashian-Jenners are only famous because of Kim’s tape

Amber Rose has a new talk show! The Amber Rose Show is a weekly, not daily, talk show on VH1 and it debuts on July 8th at 11 pm. Considering the late-night scheduling and the fact that her show is on cable, I’m guessing that it will be pretty dirty and funny. It will also be sex-positive, at least that’s Amber’s goal. Amber chatted with the NYDN about her show and of course she had to throw a little bit of shade on Kim Kardashian and her family. Even though Amber and Kim have met up and sipped the tea, that doesn’t mean that Amber won’t take a few swipes here and there. On her beef with Kylie Jenner & Khloe Kardashian last year: “Being a dancer and dealing with older men, gave me the humility and knowledge to speak on such a subject [of Tyga and Kylie].” Why the Kardashians are famous: “But let’s face it. The only reason these girls have a career is because their older sister had a little fun on tape.” A sex-positive show: “I definitely wanted a platform to talk about ‘sex-positive’ and other issues to show people who I really am.” Hearing the comment “Women should avoid dressing like sluts in order not to be victimized”: “I deal with talk like that every day. I recently dealt with that when my ex (Kanye) said he had to take 30 showers after he’d been with me. We were happy when we were together and now I’m getting slut-shamed because we’re not anymore . . . and it’s unfair. I’m sick of it . . . and I’m here for my girls.” How she ended up with a talk show produced by Dr. Phil: The walk ended up on VH1 after she did a “slut-shaming” segment promoting the event on the Dr. Phil-produced “The Doctors.” “The producers loved me and told me I needed my own show. Dr. Phil was blown away by the pilot and he and his team have been helping me get my chops up . . . I’m being schooled by the best in the business.” [From The NYDN] I remember a time when Dr. Drew Pinsky did Loveline and that was one of the most sex-positive things on TV. And now Dr. Drew is using really sick people for ratings and Dr. Phil is suddenly the arbiter of sex-positivity? Wonders never cease. Anyway, it will be interesting to see if Amber’s show is successful. I think she’ll probably be a decent weekly talk show host, but I’m not sure if this particular show and format will be good for her. As for what she says about the Kardashians… no lies detected! Duchess Kate in blue Roland Mouret at the SportsAid gala: lovely or boring?

I happened to be on Twitter as the @KensingtonRoyal account was live-tweeting the Duchess of Cambridge’s “arrival” at the SportsAid event last night. What was absolutely hilarious to me was that Kate’s official Twitter was making such a big deal about her “arrival”… at Kensington Palace. Literally, she “arrived” at her home. She walked outside to what is basically her backyard. This was also Kate’s first work event since she and William attended the Queen’s garden party on May 24th. Because she’s so keen to work, you guys! At least Kate gave us a new gown to examine, which is nice. I was getting tired of the repeats, mostly because she was repeating some of the worst pieces in her closet and styling those looks in the same old way. Her gown for this SportsAid reception was by Roland Mouret. She’s worn Mouret’s gowns before, to decent results. I like this gown for the most part. I have an issue with the bust though. Mouret is known for beautiful structure, and many of his gowns have an almost origami-like feel which needs proper tailoring. So is it the tailoring that’s off, or does Kate need a different bra? Am I the only one seeing that? The reception also involved a dinner (of beef, asparagus and pudding) and a speech by Kate, the video of which will probably be hidden away in some vault with all of Kate’s extra wiglets. Kensington Palace only released a transcript. Here is the speech in full: Good evening ladies and gentlemen. It is an absolute pleasure to be here with you to celebrate SportsAid’s 40th anniversary. Some of you may know that I love sport. I love cheering on teams and athletes that I am passionate about. I love the physical challenge sport presents and the mental strength it gives us all. And I love the way it so often brings people together to work as part of a team. I suspect many of you in this room may feel the same. The brilliance of SportsAid is in really understanding just how much athletic competition gives to our country as a whole. By investing in young sporting talent, they ensure that there is a strong pipeline of inspirational heroes. These athletes then serve as motivators to everyone in the UK to get involved, get active, and embrace the power of sport to make us happier and healthier. With little over 50 days to go until the Games begin in Rio; the next Olympiad is almost here. As we did in London in 2012, we will see a new generation of sporting stars emerge into the spotlight. We cannot wait to meet the next SportsAid champions – the next Chris Hoys and Katherine Graingers who will remind us all of the magic and the power of sport. So thank you all for supporting the incredible work of SportsAid. I am immensely proud to be their Patron and I can’t wait to cheer on our team competing in Rio. I do hope you enjoy tonight’s very special occasion. Thank you. [From Royal.uk] I was going to write some republican diatribe, but I’ll save it for another day. This is your future queen, Great Britain. I hope you can picture the hair tosses when you read the words “I love cheering on teams and athletes that I am passionate about.” People Magazine also had a lengthy write-up about this event, complete with sugary quotes from some of the people in attendance about how wonderful it is that Kate is so “curious about sport” and how amazing it was that she asked the young athletes if they were nervous. The CEO of SportsAid also made sure to mention that Kate is very “keen.” Yes, very keen. Photos courtesy of Pacific Coast News.

Jay Z: The REAL Reason He Skipped the Met Gala

Beyonce and Jay Z have been the talk of the entertainment world ever since she released her controversial “Lemonade” album less than two weeks ago. The great majority of the chatter has centered on the album’s lyrics, through which Bey calls out her husband for cheating and threatens divorce if it ever happens again. But throughout the media melee, the couple have remained suspiciously silent on the subject. A week after the album dropped, Beyonce attended the highly publicized Met Gala, but conspicuously absent was her husband. In fact, Jay Z’s no-show raised eyebrows everywhere. After all, Beyonce just announced to the world that her husband was a cheating sack of sh*t, and now she’s attending one of the most high-profile events of the year solo? However, a source tells E! News that Jay Z skipped the ball so the focus could remain on Bey and her new album. “They thought it was a good move that Beyonce go alone this year to the Met,” reveals the insider. View Slideshow: 2016 MET Gala: Worst-Dressed Stars! “They aren’t fighting but they thought it would be a better look if she came solo for her new album and all the hype that was attached to it.” According to a separate source, Queen Bey was cool with it “She was in a group that included Olivier [Rousteing], her sister and her sister’s husband,” the insider says. “They were hanging in their area having a great time.” While neither one have addressed the cheating allegations, Beyonce assured fans her marriage was on solid ground during a concert kicking off her “Lemonade” tour in Miami. “I want to dedicate this song to my beautiful husband. I love you so much,” she told the audience. Nevertheless, Jay Z was booed in Miami by the Beyhive around the same time. “Everywhere HOV goes, people are looking at him with a stank face,” a source revealed. Our guts are telling us that avoidance of further stank face could be real reason Jay Z chose to ditch the Met. That, and avoidance of further elevator attacks by Solange Knowles.
