On why she’s so committed to working out and being healthy: I’m a 42-year-old. I still like skinny jeans. I still prefer a two-piece instead of a one-piece, but now I have two young kids. So for me, I want to be skiing down the mountain alongside my kids instead of waiting at the bottom for them. I want to see their children graduate from college. I want to meet my grandchildren’s children. These are my whys. On aging and why she’s in better shape now than she was in her 20s: I care more, and when you care more you train harder and eat better. People believe that aging is this slow descent into decrepitude. That’s not true. When people say, “Oh, I’m 40 now, and this is happening to me and that’s happening to me,” it’s the cumulative effect of years of neglect, which—by the way—can still be turned around. On why she thinks there’s too much pressure on women to get back to their pre-pregnancy bodies: I was just talking to someone who was breast-feeding and already on a diet. I was like, “Dude, you’ve got to chill. If you start dropping more than two pounds a week, you’re going to compromise your milk supply.” The reality is that you can bounce back better than ever, but time frames vary for everyone. The full story on Molly’s pregnancy weight gain from People: “No one tells you what’s going to happen,” Sims says to a group of celebrity moms, including Haylie Duff, Garcelle Beauvais and Soleil Moon Frye, who got together for PEOPLE’s Mom Talk video series, which is now live on PEOPLE/Entertainment Weekly Network. “With my first pregnancy, I ended up gaining 85 lbs. and had a bad thyroid problem that no one diagnosed throughout the whole pregnancy until four months later,” Sims, who is pregnant with her third child, adds. Sims, 43, who is already mom to Scarlett May, 17 months, and Brooks Alan, 4, says that during her pregnancy she had false hopes that the weight would just fall off after she gave birth. “Sometimes, deep down, when you’re eating that Sweet Lady Jane on the 405, you think, ‘It’ll come off when I have the baby,’ ” she says. “There’s also a lot of pressure to bounce back,” Beauvais, 48, adds. “You know who I love is Drew Barrymore! Kim Kardashian in vintage satin Galliano in Las Vegas: righteous or awful?
Here are some photos of Kim Kardashian in Vegas on Friday night. She attended/hosted a party at Hakkasan at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino. Kim is one of the most expensive “gets” for Vegas nightclubs. If they want to go cheap, they get Scott Disick, you know? I suspect that Kim gets mid-six figures plus crazy accommodations per Vegas appearance. Kim wore vintage Galliano to the event, which… the seams seem off? And those shoes were not the best choice. But Kim looked small, and she was definitely showing off her achievement of her “goal weight,” which was to lose 70 pounds post-pregnancy. I think that puts her in the 120-130 lb range, according to Kim. It’s always so difficult to assess Kim’s weight because she’s so curvy with those boobs and that butt, but Kim really is very short and compact. Post-receipts, Kim has returned to business as usual. It’s an interesting move, isn’t it? She’s chosen not to harp on and on about it. She’s chosen not to emphasize, on social media or in interviews, her exposure and takedown of Taylor Swift. Kim fundamentally changed the gossip landscape and she isn’t even really taking a victory lap. I suspect that there will be discussions in future interviews, and I suspect that Kim is waiting patiently to see what Taylor does next. We’ll see. Meanwhile, Kim has been talking to the press, just not about Tay-Tay. She’s been talking about her weight, and she’s been talking about her babies. Kim Kardashian says her and Kanye West’s second child, son Saint West, is a “Daddy’s boy.” In fact, the baby told her so himself, so to speak. “He said Dada today, three times!” Kim told E! News exclusively at the MGM Grand nightclub Hakkasan in Las Vegas Friday night. “And I was like, ‘Wait what?’ Kanye was so excited, he was like, ‘I told him to say that.’ And I was like, just I really wanted him to say ‘Mama’ first.” And the couple’s first and eldest child, daughter North West, is the opposite of her brother. “I have to go back and see what North said first but I think he’s, like, you know, a Daddy’s boy and North is a Mama’s girl, so we each have one,” Kim told E! News. [From E! News] I always suspected North was a daddy’s girl, actually. North seems completely attached to both parents, but maybe she’s just more like her mom. As for Saint saying “Dada” – the baby is only seven months old! Is he really saying “Dada” or is he just making sounds? Blake Lively in Emanuel Ungaro in NY: the best look of her ‘Cafe Society’ tour?
Even though I think some of these straps are unnecessary, this dress might be my favorite from Blake Lively’s promotional fashion show. Blake saved the best for last! Maybe. Blake was spotted out in NYC on Friday wearing this Emanuel Ungaro dress. So much prettier than her premiere minidress, right? This should have been the premiere dress. And if Blake has been trying to start a trend during this pregnancy, it’s with under-boob cutouts on maternity clothes. I don’t really get why that’s a thing, but here we are. Meanwhile, Blake appeared on the Tonight Show on Friday to promote Café Society. In this clip, Blake tells Jimmy Fallon that baby James calls Jimmy “dada,” and she has the video proof. In this clip, Blake tells other stories about baby James. James points out when anyone – man or woman – has a belly and says “baby!” James also has a little lisp so for “stand” she says “shtand” and for “sit” she says “sh-t.” Blake also made a joke: “It should be illegal to be pregnant in New York in July. I swear, I’m going to make my water break just so I can cool down.” And there you go. Incidentally, I read Vogue’s review of Café Society, and I came away pretty disturbed about the film and Woody Allen in general. Vogue says that Blake and Kristen Stewart are set up as woman/girl archetypes, as in Blake is playing the womanly bombshell that Jesse Eisenberg has to “settle” for despite the fact that he’s in love with the girlish, Lolita-esque character played by Kristen Stewart.
