Saget hosted the event that was chaired by Lauren Shuler Donner and Richard Donner, which raised near half a million dollars for the cause! Alexander received the prestigious Loop Award for his work to improve the lives of those living with lupus through medical research, advocacy and increasing awareness. Grammy Award-winning singer Toni Braxton sung “Un-Break My Heart” to her cardiologists and Dr. Jay Schapira, who was honored with the Daniel J. Wallace Founder’s Award at the 13th Annual Lupus Orange Ball. Dr. Stanley J. Naides of Quest Diagnostics was awarded the Medical Visionary Award at the event.

Ageless stars Cher and Demi Moore attend Target Presents AFI Night at the Movies, which is a one-night only event presenting fans with a rare chance to see 13 classic films alongside top filmmakers and stars who made them. Cher presented Moonstruck (1987) while Demi presented Ghost (1990). “It’s either going to be something really special, really amazing, or really an absolute bust,” Demi said of the magic of Ghost. “And the beauty of being at the beginning of your career, and it’s important to remember at any stage of your life is taking the risk is always where the reward is, and I think the beauty in this film is that none of us knew, and the alchemy that came together with Whoopi [Goldberg] and Patrick [Swayze], and our film editor, Walter Murch, and Adam Greenberg, our DP, it just had a magic.” Steel Magnolias stars Sally Field and Shirley Maclaine co-presented their hit 1989 movie at the AFI Night at the Movies event.“You have to keep up with it and have your own center and don’t allow yourself to go off because sometimes that spontaneous brilliance can throw you,” MacLaine said of her brilliant cast.
