Anna Kendrick gives drunk interview to ‘Marie Claire’

Anna Kendrick‘s great! She’s funny, she’s talented, she seems really down-to-earth… what’s not to like? Well, as she revealed in a new interview with Marie Claire (during which she was most likely drunk, as she admittedly had just come from a bartending class in Los Angeles), plenty of people think she’s not all that attractive. Which, in Hollywood, is a Big Thing (not that she’s bothered). Here are some of her thoughts on this and other topics: On the celebrity hacking scandal this fall: “I’m so infuriated on behalf of those girls. And bummed out that people feel like that’s something they can do.” On having her looks scrutinized: “The most common thing that I get is, ‘Am I the only one who doesn’t think that Anna Kendrick is pretty?’ And you’re like, ‘No, you’re not the only one. Arguably, all of the boys in my high school agree with you.’” On ambition: “Mostly it’s the fear that the wolves are always at your heels and you’re going to be tossed out into the street. If you grow up middle class, you just always feel like you’ve got to be working, because otherwise you won’t be able to pay the rent.” Yes, I’d be “bummed out” if… well, if my bum was out and shown to the world because someone hacked my pictures (sorry, I had to do it). Also, I do think Anna Kendrick is really pretty – NOT THAT IT MATTERS IN LIFE, PEOPLE – but I also wonder what in Photoshop hell happened to her cover: So unnecessary. Taylor Swift goes psycho in ‘Blank Space’ video

Taylor Swift‘s 1989 is probably the best pop album of the year, maybe the past two years (at least). Seriously, it’s that good. I pretty much love every song on the album, save for Welcome to New York, but that’s just because I’ve lived there for 13 years and that doe-eyed naivité thing about it hasn’t been my bag for over a decade. But that’s neither here nor there! What’s important is that this album is FULL of hits, so she can ride on this one for a long while. Her new single, ‘Blank Space’, is supposed to be an homage to the psycho alter-ego the press seems to report of her when she’s in a relationship/just ending a relationship. TayTay likes to have fun, so she played on that for the music video, which leaked a day early (oopsies!) and had been watched by a zillion people before anyone realised they weren’t supposed to have seen it yet. Ah, well. I’m not a fan of music videos in general – I prefer to just listen to the damn song and I don’t need a visual to go along with it – but as these things go, this is a lot of fun and I ain’t mad at it, as they say. I mean, if brought us faces like these: That can’t be a bad thing. What do you think of ‘Blank Space’ and the video? Follow us on Twitter | Facebook
