When you think Jessica Simpson you think platform shoes, farts, and bags with needless fringe right? You don’t think “singer” at this point, but that’s how she got her start in the business. That and being ditzy on TV. According to In Touch, which would have little reason to make up a story about Jessica Simpson because it’s not like she’s a huge draw, Jessica wants to return to music for the next stage of her career. She wants a lucrative deal in Vegas like Britney, Mariah and Celine. Nevermind the fact that she hasn’t put out an album since 2010′s Happy Christmas. Watch out, Britney Spears! Jessica Simpson is looking to revive her singing career by seeking out a Vegas residency, In Touch has exclusively learned. “She’s hell-bent on landing a Vegas residency,” a source reveals, explaining that Jess recently built a recording studio in her LA home and began working with top songwriter-producers like Linda Perry. “With state-of-the art technology and backdrops paired with her sex appeal, she thinks she can give the other headliners a run for their money,” says the source. “After 20 years in the music business, Jess is excited to follow her dreams and become a Vegas legend.” [From In Touch] Quick name one song by Jessica Simpson. You can’t, can you? The only thing that comes to mind is a video she did with Eva Longoria which involved roller skating. I can name more Paris Hilton songs (one) than I can Jessica Simpson songs. Googling “Jessica Simpson hits” brings up her remake of “These Boots Are Made for Walking” and such singles as 1999′s “I Wanna Love You Forever” and 2006′s “A Public Affair.” I guess that’s the video with Eva Longoria, but the song is completely forgettable. I just listened to it again and am reminded that it’s a ripoff of Madonna’s “Holiday.” If this is true, and Simpson wants a Vegas residency, she has to have songs that people want to hear, it’s not enough to be able to writhe around on stage. None of her music videos have over 5 million views on YouTube. This isn’t happening for her. Jessica’s last venture was a commercial for Budget rent-a-car. Is her clothing line not doing well? Last week The Enquirer reported that Jessica and her husband, Eric Johnson, spend $50,000 every month on food and drinks and “have cases of the finest wines and champagnes delivered to their home every week,” eat at expensive restaurants and “get deliveries from places like Little Dom’s or La Poubelle.” So maybe their spending is a issue. Update: Jessica’s rep denies that she’s seeking a Vegas residency. She is working on new music. Christina Grimmie Dead; The Voice Alum Was 22

Another rising star has left us too soon. Christina Grimmie, who placed in the top three on The Voice’s sixth season as part of Adam Levin’s team, has passed away on June 11th from gunshot wounds after performing at an Orlando, FL concert. Grimmie opened for the band, Before You Exit at Plaza Live.  While signing autographs after the performance, Grimmie was approached by a man with two guns, according to People. The man shot the singer, 22, before being tackled by her brother.  He then turned the gun on himself. “The show ended at approximately 10 o’clock,” Orlando Sgt. Wanda Miglio said during a news conference. “After that they were selling merchandise and signing autographs. We know that the suspect walked up and shot Christina at that point. We know that her brother tackled the suspect and that’s when the suspect shot himself.” “Her brother is a hero for saving and stopping him from not hurting anyone else.” According to WFTV, fans tweeted from inside the venue after hearing six gun shots. “It is with a heavy heart that we can confirm that Christina has passed and went home to be with the Lord. She was shot at her show in Orlando, and unfortunately didn’t survive the gun shot wounds,” Grimmie’s rep told People in an official statement. “We ask at this time that you respect the privacy of her family and friends in their time of mourning.” A GoFundMe page has been set up to aid her family. NBC tweeted their devastation after hearing about the incident. “We are heartbroken,” the network wrote.  “@TheRealGrimmie is a loved member of our family. Our thoughts are with her and her family. #PrayForChristina.” The Voice judge Blake Shelton responded to the news as well. “Just reading the same stuff y’all are at this point,” Shelton tweeted. “Can’t believe this..” No other details about the gunman’s motive are available at this time. Yolanda Foster filed for divorce from husband David Foster in January, and her former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star Brandi Glanville thinks it’s time to get her groove back. In a new interview with People, Glanville shared a piece of advice she has for Foster. “I said, ‘Girl, you need to get out there and get some d!'” Glanville told the magazine. Girl has a point. But Foster wasn’t so into the idea. “And she was like, ‘No!’ So I said, ‘You can’t say that! I’m serious, it might make you feel better!'” she insisted.  “And she laughs at me. But she knows my intentions are good, I just say crazy sh*t,” said Glanville. Lately, folks have speculated that she’s involved with another co-star, Dean Sheremet. Glanville and Sheremet star together in another reality show (how many does she have?), My Kitchen Rules, but they are linked more famously for being cheated on respectively by Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes, who are now married. Here are some photos of the Duchess of Cambridge and other royals today at St. Paul’s Cathedral. They attended a service of thanksgiving for Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday, which is funny because today is actually the Duke of Edinburgh’s 95th birthday. But today is the start of a three-day celebration for the Queen, her birthday and her historic reign. In addition to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, this church service was also attended by the York princesses, Prince Harry, the Prince of Wales, the Countess of Wessex, the Duke of York, the Princess Royal, the Duchess of Cornwall, Zara Phillips, Tony Blair, David Cameron and John Major. You can see the Daily Mail’s photos here. While the Queen wore a bright yellow, Kate decided on a more muted palate. She chose this light blue Catherine Walker coatdress, because Kate is obsessed with coatdresses. The white, lacy lattice-work down the front is not my cup of tea, but I think the look is appropriate for a morning church service. The thing that bugs me most of all is that I believe with all my heart that Kate had the hem raised so she could show off more leg, and whomever did it made a hash of it – look at how uneven that looks! Kate’s hat is by Jane Taylor, and Kate paired the ensemble with a pair of much-beloved nude heels. I have to say… the York princesses looked fantastic this morning. The Duke of York, not so much. We haven’t covered Lindsay Lohan in a few months, and she’s been desperate for attention this week, so let’s give it to her. Lindsay spent much of the week in London, partying and pap-strolling and leaking stories about herself. She even spent time with Kourtney Kardashian (that must have been a meeting of the minds). But yesterday Lindsay was in Spain. Someone (an idiot) hired Lindsay to be the (crack)face of the Uno de 50 jewelry line. So Lindsay got a flight to Madrid and she got to do a photocall, posing in some of the jewelry. And hey, it worked! I’m covering these photos, so it worked. Just like I assume I’ll re-use these photos when the jeweler claims that some of his pieces were crack-heisted. I mostly wanted to talk about these photos because I’m interested in seeing your reaction to how Lohan looks these days. In some shots, I think she looks okay, almost presentable and somewhat sober. In other photos, I think she looks glassy-eyed and terrible. Also: is this dress incredibly unflattering or did she get another boob job? Meanwhile, did you know that Lindsay is still engaged? It’s true. She’s engaged to a 22-year-old Russian “businessman” who seems just as shady as Lindsay. But they’re enjoying themselves and he’s even going to throw a big party for Lindsay’s 30th birthday this summer. Lindsay Lohan’s fiancé, Egor Tarabasov, is throwing her a 30th birthday party in Greece. The 22-year-old Russian trust-fund kid and real estate agent told Lohan’s pals to save the date for a giant July 2 bash in Mykonos. The exact location hasn’t been revealed as yet, but the party’s planners might want to steer clear of the restaurant Sea Satin Market — where Lohan reportedly racked up a $1,300 bill in 2015 before leaving without paying. Staff spent three days searching for her before a pal paid up. [From Page Six] Sure. I keep waiting for Egor’s family to shut this down, but maybe they figure that Egor will eventually tire of Lindsay’s drama and antics. Perhaps the “in” thing for magazines this year is mother-daughter covers? Cindy Crawford and her 14-year-old daughter Kaia covered Vogue Paris several months back, and many people loved and praised the image. And now this – Kate Moss and her 13-year-old daughter Lila Grace cover the new issue of Vogue Italia. Thoughts? I think Lila will look more like her mom as she gets into her mid-to-late teens. Right now, she’s just an interesting blend of both of her parents (her dad is Jefferson Hack). When Cindy and Kaia covered Vogue Paris in March, I sort of assumed that Cindy was trying to gently open some doors for her daughter, who already has representation at a modeling agency. Like, the deal between Kaia and Cindy is that Kaia can model but only if Cindy gets to be hands-on about her career. I wonder about Lila and Kate’s dynamic, whether Lila is even interested in modeling like her famous mum, or if Lila is just a normal kid, untouched by her mother’s career. Jefferson Hack did provide some clues in a recent interview, saying: “I spend a lot of time with Lila Grace. She’s 13 and my relationship with her and her mum, Kate, is the thing I’m most proud of. That is life with a capital L. Everything else is window dressing. I have Lila at least one night in the week and every other weekend. We use FaceTime most evenings. She thinks me and her mum are deeply uncool. I don’t think her music tastes are cool – Capital radio and Justin Bieber. She keeps me real. I’m not on Snapchat. It’s wrong when parents act like their kids. I don’t buy into the ‘my mum’s my best friend’ ethos. In Kate’s recent Edit cover interview, she even admitted that Lila isn’t even into clothes right now. So now I’m imagining Kate and Lila as Edina Monsoon and Saffy. Becky Hayter: Who is Kailyn Lowry’s New Love Interest?

The ongoing soap opera that is Kailyn Lowry’s love life took an unexpected turn recently, when the the world learned that Lowry might be dating a woman. Sources close to the Teen Mom 2 star indicated that ever since she officially separated from Javi Marroquin, Kailyn has been spending a lot of time with a female friend named Becky Hayter. At one point, a video of Kailyn and Becky kissing surfaced on Lowry’s Instagram page. It was quickly deleted after the comments section exploded with speculation about Kailyn’s sexual orientation. But though the video wasn’t online for very long, Lowry replaced the clip with the image below and has not denied that she’s romantically involved with Hayter. Insiders have confirmed that Lowry dated several women during her adolescent years and earlier today the mother of two seemed to confirm her sexual fluidity, tweeting, “Do I have to be gay or straight? Can’t I just love people?” Little is known about Hayter, but she seems to be even less shy than Lowry about confirming that the romantic rumors are 100% true. In addition to re-tweeting Kailyn’s coming out tweet, moments ago Becky re-tweeted a fan who wrote, “I have to say @KailLowry & @hayter25 would make a bangin couple tho.” It’s not a direct confirmation, but it certainly seems Hayter is implying that she and Lowry are far more than just friends. Though she’s new to the public eye, Hayter doesn’t seem the least bit bothered by the, well…haters. She’s wisely opted not to engage with them on a one-to-one basis (Never feed the trolls, kids!), and she instead dismissed the more critical comments she’s been receiving with a tweet reading, “Do people not understand calling me a lesbian is not offensive?” Based on her Twitter page, Hayter seems like a woman who knows how to party and a staunch advocate for LGBT rights.
