Brandi Glanville to Yolanda Foster: You Need to Get Some D—, Girl!

Yolanda Foster filed for divorce from husband David Foster in January, and her former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star Brandi Glanville thinks it’s time to get her groove back. In a new interview with People, Glanville shared a piece of advice she has for Foster. “I said, ‘Girl, you need to get out there and get some d!'” Glanville told the magazine. Girl has a point. But Foster wasn’t so into the idea. “And she was like, ‘No!’ So I said, ‘You can’t say that! I’m serious, it might make you feel better!'” she insisted.  “And she laughs at me. But she knows my intentions are good, I just say crazy sh*t,” said Glanville. That “whole thing” can really get in the way of scoring some d. Glanville said she’ll be happy to serve as Foster’s wing woman once she’s ready, which would be a great show to watch. Meanwhile, Glanville is promoting her own reality show on VH1, Famously Single. Back in November, rumors swirled that Glanville was hooking up with Calum Best, her Famously Single co-star, but nothing seemed to come of it. Lately, folks have speculated that she’s involved with another co-star, Dean Sheremet. Glanville and Sheremet star together in another reality show (how many does she have?), My Kitchen Rules, but they are linked more famously for being cheated on respectively by Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes, who are now married. Duchess Kate in a Catherine Walker coatdress at St. Paul’s: cute or cloying?

Here are some photos of the Duchess of Cambridge and other royals today at St. Paul’s Cathedral. They attended a service of thanksgiving for Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday, which is funny because today is actually the Duke of Edinburgh’s 95th birthday. But today is the start of a three-day celebration for the Queen, her birthday and her historic reign. In addition to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, this church service was also attended by the York princesses, Prince Harry, the Prince of Wales, the Countess of Wessex, the Duke of York, the Princess Royal, the Duchess of Cornwall, Zara Phillips, Tony Blair, David Cameron and John Major. You can see the Daily Mail’s photos here. While the Queen wore a bright yellow, Kate decided on a more muted palate. She chose this light blue Catherine Walker coatdress, because Kate is obsessed with coatdresses. The white, lacy lattice-work down the front is not my cup of tea, but I think the look is appropriate for a morning church service. The thing that bugs me most of all is that I believe with all my heart that Kate had the hem raised so she could show off more leg, and whomever did it made a hash of it – look at how uneven that looks! Kate’s hat is by Jane Taylor, and Kate paired the ensemble with a pair of much-beloved nude heels. I have to say… the York princesses looked fantastic this morning. The Duke of York, not so much. We haven’t covered Lindsay Lohan in a few months, and she’s been desperate for attention this week, so let’s give it to her. Lindsay spent much of the week in London, partying and pap-strolling and leaking stories about herself. She even spent time with Kourtney Kardashian (that must have been a meeting of the minds). But yesterday Lindsay was in Spain. Someone (an idiot) hired Lindsay to be the (crack)face of the Uno de 50 jewelry line. So Lindsay got a flight to Madrid and she got to do a photocall, posing in some of the jewelry. And hey, it worked! I’m covering these photos, so it worked. Just like I assume I’ll re-use these photos when the jeweler claims that some of his pieces were crack-heisted. I mostly wanted to talk about these photos because I’m interested in seeing your reaction to how Lohan looks these days. In some shots, I think she looks okay, almost presentable and somewhat sober. In other photos, I think she looks glassy-eyed and terrible. Also: is this dress incredibly unflattering or did she get another boob job? Meanwhile, did you know that Lindsay is still engaged? It’s true. She’s engaged to a 22-year-old Russian “businessman” who seems just as shady as Lindsay. But they’re enjoying themselves and he’s even going to throw a big party for Lindsay’s 30th birthday this summer. Lindsay Lohan’s fiancé, Egor Tarabasov, is throwing her a 30th birthday party in Greece. The 22-year-old Russian trust-fund kid and real estate agent told Lohan’s pals to save the date for a giant July 2 bash in Mykonos. The exact location hasn’t been revealed as yet, but the party’s planners might want to steer clear of the restaurant Sea Satin Market — where Lohan reportedly racked up a $1,300 bill in 2015 before leaving without paying. Staff spent three days searching for her before a pal paid up. [From Page Six] Sure. I keep waiting for Egor’s family to shut this down, but maybe they figure that Egor will eventually tire of Lindsay’s drama and antics. But what worries me is that Lindsay has “caught” someone wealthy and she’ll get pregnant soon. Becky Hayter: Who is Kailyn Lowry’s New Love Interest?

The ongoing soap opera that is Kailyn Lowry’s love life took an unexpected turn recently, when the the world learned that Lowry might be dating a woman. Sources close to the Teen Mom 2 star indicated that ever since she officially separated from Javi Marroquin, Kailyn has been spending a lot of time with a female friend named Becky Hayter. At one point, a video of Kailyn and Becky kissing surfaced on Lowry’s Instagram page. It was quickly deleted after the comments section exploded with speculation about Kailyn’s sexual orientation. But though the video wasn’t online for very long, Lowry replaced the clip with the image below and has not denied that she’s romantically involved with Hayter. Insiders have confirmed that Lowry dated several women during her adolescent years and earlier today the mother of two seemed to confirm her sexual fluidity, tweeting, “Do I have to be gay or straight? Can’t I just love people?” Little is known about Hayter, but she seems to be even less shy than Lowry about confirming that the romantic rumors are 100% true. In addition to re-tweeting Kailyn’s coming out tweet, moments ago Becky re-tweeted a fan who wrote, “I have to say @KailLowry & @hayter25 would make a bangin couple tho.” It’s not a direct confirmation, but it certainly seems Hayter is implying that she and Lowry are far more than just friends. Though she’s new to the public eye, Hayter doesn’t seem the least bit bothered by the, well…haters. She’s wisely opted not to engage with them on a one-to-one basis (Never feed the trolls, kids!), and she instead dismissed the more critical comments she’s been receiving with a tweet reading, “Do people not understand calling me a lesbian is not offensive?” Based on her Twitter page, Hayter seems like a woman who knows how to party and a staunch advocate for LGBT rights. Charlotte Rampling on her #OscarsSoWhite drama: ‘I’m anything but racist’

In the heat of this year’s Oscars race, the #OscarsSoWhite controversy blew up. For the second year in a row, there were no major nominations for minority actors. The controversy got so bad that the Academy is still undergoing renovations to the voter rolls and trying to bring in some fresh blood and hopefully more diverse membership. The controversy also got so bad that various (white) actors had to answer questions about the all-white party known as the Oscars. One of those actors? Charlotte Rampling. Rampling was asked point-blank about the #OscarsSoWhite controversy and she said: “It is racist to whites. One can never really know, but perhaps the black actors did not deserve to make the final list,” added Rampling. Asked if the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences should introduce quotas, a proposal which no current advocate of increased diversity has mooted, she responded: “Why classify people? These days everyone is more or less accepted … People will always say: ‘Him, he’s less handsome’; ‘Him, he’s too black’; ‘He is too white’ … someone will always be saying ‘You are too’ [this or that] … But do we have to take from this that there should be lots of minorities everywhere?” [From previous story] Within hours, Rampling’s publicist made her issue an apology in which Rampling claimed that her comments had been “misinterpreted” and that she of course believes that “in an ideal world every performance will be given equal opportunities for consideration.” While her clarification left me cold (it was basically “sorry you read the words I actually spoke”), Rampling really didn’t suffer because of it. She didn’t have to answer any other questions about race and her belief that minorities were being racist to white people. Well now, months later, Rampling is talking about it again. Charlotte Rampling has defended her controversial Oscars race row comments insisting her words were simply misunderstood. “I probably think it was misinterpreted at the time. I thought, ‘Oh my god, what have I said’. It was in no way what people thought,” says the 70-year-old, who was nominated for best actress at the 2016 Academy Awards for her performance in British drama 45 Hours. “After I just didn’t listen to anything so I don’t know who said what about it. I can’t really say too much now. I could have easily had a dialogue but I wasn’t going to do that after what I said. Is she saying that of course she isn’t racist and she could have totally had a dialogue about what she said but she knew everyone would just say that she’s racist and she’s totally not racist, you guys. We know she’s not racist because she says so! And it’s like she wants bonus points because she COULD have had a dialogue about race but she didn’t. I would have been fascinated to hear that dialogue. Elizabeth Olsen let her sisters dress her up like a goth ghost for the CFDAs

The CFDAs were held last night in New York. I generally find the CFDAs kind of boring, fashion-wise. It’s not the Met Gala and it’s not the Oscars. Some ladies try to do something different, but most people just look vaguely nice and not particularly noteworthy. Take the Olsen sisters – we’ve seen Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen look like Victorian ghosts a million times before. The only difference is that at the CFDAs, they dressed their little sister Elizabeth in The Row and now she looks like a Victorian ghost now too. More photos… Stephanie Sokolinski (Soko!!) looking tired in Gucci. It really is about styling with this woman, and I really, really want to take away her pink-brown eye makeup. The dress is fine (and it suits her) but I think she would look better with different hair and makeup. Adriana Lima in Marc Jacobs. I like that she wore pants. This outfit is nice. Riley Keough in Proenza Schouler. I’m actually not a fan of Proenza Schouler, I think the clothes usually look overworked and fashion-student-y. But this was one of my favorite dresses at the event. Jessica Chastain in Prabal Gurung. Love the dress, hate the styling. Chastain was doing so well, and I really thought she had gotten some better hair and makeup people. But maybe not. Because she should never, ever do her hair like this. Jennifer Hudson in Prabal Gurung. Pretty dress, but it feels too big and heavy for this event. J.K. Rowling on reaction to new Hermione: ‘I thought that idiots were going to idiot’

Character portraits for the play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child were released over the weekend and they are all lovely; take a look on Pottermore. As we reported in December of last year, Olivier-Award winning actor, Noma Dumezweni, was cast as Hermione in this production. After the announcement, people with nothing better to do complained to the Twitterverse about her casting. The issue was not her credentials but the fact that she is not white and that somehow flies in the face of the characterization of Hermione. At the time, J.K. Rowling gave the following statement in support of the casting choice: Canon: brown eyes, frizzy hair and very clever. White skin was never specified. Rowling loves black Hermione ? https://t.co/5fKX4InjTH — J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) December 21, 2015 JK wrote the story upon which Jack Thorne’s play is based. HPatCC takes place 19 years after the gang has graduated Hogwarts. Harry is married with three children and the youngest, Albus, is reluctant to carry on the family legacy. The story is a continuation from the books, not the movies so it really doesn’t matter who played the part in the movie, even if they did a wonderful job in that role. Now that the dust up on social media has died down, JK expressed her annoyance about the controversy and did so in classic JK fashion. JK Rowling has revealed her frustration at online reaction by “a bunch of racists” to news that the role of Hermione will be played by a black actress in the eagerly awaited new play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. The production, which has broken records by selling 175,000 tickets in 24 hours, is tipped to be the theatrical event of the year. But the Harry Potter creator criticised those who have suggested that Hogwarts’ studious heroine could not be played by the Olivier-award-winning actress Noma Dumezweni. “With my experience of social media, I thought that idiots were going to idiot,” she said in an interview with the Observer. “But what can you say? That’s the way the world is. Noma was chosen because she was the best actress for the job.” While the vast majority of people responded positively to the casting decision, Rowling said: “I had a bunch of racists telling me that because Hermione ‘turned white’ – that is, lost colour from her face after a shock – that she must be a white woman, which I have a great deal of difficulty with. But I decided not to get too agitated about it and simply state quite firmly that Hermione can be a black woman with my absolute blessing and enthusiasm.” Dumezweni was cast by the play’s director, John Tiffany – known for the productions Black Watch and the musical Once – who has collaborated with Rowling and the playwright Jack Thorne, writer of This Is England and The Last Panthers. Tiffany said he was surprised by the opinions expressed online, but had stopped reading the comments. “I am not as Twitter-familiar as Jo and Jack, so I hadn’t encountered its dark side, which is just awful. But what shocked me was the way people couldn’t visualise a non-white person as the hero of a story. It’s therefore brilliant that this has happened.” [From The Guardian] I always cast books in my head and producers never go with my picks when they are made into movies. Shockingly, I am able to get over it and see the film without bias. I remain at a loss over the criticism of Noma; I would be thrilled to see someone of her caliber perform. Elphaba in Wicked needed to be green, it was a huge point in the story but Hermione’s skin color has no affect on her. I think I’ll save my outrage for the fact that I will never get tickets to this show and not the fact that Hermione is not alabaster or Ron not-ginger enough.
