Prince Harry is having the time of his life in Florida for the Invictus Games

The Invictus Games officially begin today, but Prince Harry (King Dirty Ginger Snap) has already been in Florida for days. On Friday and Saturday, Harry was participating in the welcoming events, holding babies, kissing puppies, shaking hands with veterans and generally being lovely and adorable. Interestingly enough, I think Poor Jason (the PR guy for the Cambridges and Harry) is with Harry in Florida. Just before Jason released a slew of lovely Harry photos, the KensingtonRoyal Twitter released some information about upcoming events involving Prince William. Because of course Harry can’t just have a moment. Speaking of Harry’s moment, I loved this story from People Magazine: Over breakfast at the Warrior Games in Colorado in 2013, Prince Harry turned to friend David Wiseman and said: “We’re going to bring this idea back to the U.K. and make it massive.” Now, two years on from the first Paralympic-style Invictus Games in London, the excitement is building for second event, which will kick off in Orlando, Florida, on Sunday. “It’s going to be such a fantastic atmosphere which the athletes will draw from,” U.K team captain Wiseman says. While Harry’s hopes for the UK version were big “if he had said there would be the First Lady and former President Bush at a games in Orlando a few years later I would have said ‘wow,’ ” Wiseman adds. “The world is watching this and hopefully lots of people can drawn inspiration from the amazing men and women competing in sport here. There’s going to be a lot of razzmataz.” Wiseman, who qualified for four swimming races in preliminary races on Saturday, was speaking to reporters after Harry had visited the swimming pool. “He has been knocking around for the last couple of days. He has a good, natural affinity with the veterans and service personnel. He belongs to that community and he can just rock up and whoever you are can stand here having a chat with the competitors. It’s natural, it’s genuine.” [From People] What I enjoy is that Harry always gives credit where it’s due: the American Warrior Games were his inspiration, and he wanted to make it bigger and more inclusive to veterans around the world. And Wiseman is right, Harry is natural and genuine. Always, but especially around veterans. And children. And puppies. And everyone else. Alden Enrenreich, 26, cast as the ‘young Han Solo’: great choice or meh?

Last year, we learned that a huge slate of Star Wars-themed sequels, prequels and spin-offs were in the pipeline at Disney. One of the biggest projects was a combo prequel/spinoff, featuring the story of a pre-New Hope Han Solo. This is not going to be a straight up origin story with Han Solo’s childhood! The focus was always going to be on Han Solo as a 20-something dude, what he was up to before he met Luke Skywalker. The casting call went far and wide, and eventually Disney had the list culled to a who’s who of “really?” The shortlist featured names like Miles Teller, Scott Eastwood, Alden Ehrenreich, Logan Lerman, Emory Cohen and Ansel Elgort. The list was culled even further back in March, and now industry sources say that Disney has finally found their Young Solo: 26-year-old Alden Ehrenreich. After thousands of actors were considered to portray a younger Han Solo for a “Star Wars” spinoff, Alden Ehrenreich has landed the coveted role. Hollywood sources tell us Ehrenreich has signed on to play the iconic role, made famous by Harrison Ford, in the new movie, slated for 2018, which will focus on Solo before he joined the Rebel Alliance. One insider told us of Ehrenreich, 26, who most recently appeared in “Hail, Caesar!”: “Alden really impressed Disney and Lucasfilm execs with his screen tests. The deal is basically done.” Relatively little-known Ehrenreich — who’s also the lead in Warren Beatty’s upcoming, untitled Howard Hughes project with Fox — beat out candidates including “Divergent” stars Miles Teller and Ansel Elgort, Scott Eastwood, “Kingsman” and “Eddie the Eagle” star Taron Egerton, and “Sing Street” star Jack Reynor. The casting of the Han Solo character has been so shrouded in secrecy it was named “Project Red Cup,” in reference to the ubiquitous red plastic Solo cups. The film won’t start shooting until January, but reports are that the early casting is because the new Solo will have a cameo in “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” which is now shooting. That film is said to be set between “Episode III” and “Episode IV.” Reps for Ehrenreich didn’t get back to us. [From Page Six] I thought Rogue One was already in the can, but maybe not if they’re giving themselves time to film a quickie cameo with the new Solo. As for this choice… I don’t hate it. Alden is probably one of the best choices from the shortlist they had. He’s attractive (very much so), boyish, but with a slight bad-boy vibe that is desperately needed for Han Solo. Vogue named Kanye West & Kim the ‘best dressed couple’ of the Met Gala

I felt guilty about admitting this yesterday, but I really enjoyed Kim Kardashian’s Balmain at the Met Gala. Like, out of all the Balmain gowns, I thought Kim’s was the best and most interesting. Does that mean that I thought Kim looked amazing? Eh. She looked better this year than in years past, but that’s not even the point. The point is that in 2016, Kim is one of those people we’re really excited to see, because everyone will have a really strong reaction to whatever she’s wearing. In just a few short years, Kim went from persona-non-grata in elite fashion communities to one of the most-discussed women at the biggest fashion events of the year. Page Six even had a piece about how Kim and her family “ruled” the Met Gala this year, and, according to one source, “they really work that room now…they really take it over. It’s like their party. Kim Kardashian went over really well. I gotta say, they worked the room the best. If you had to pick one group who ruled it, it was the Kardashians.” And that’s not all – Vogue Magazine (Vogue.com) named Kim and Kanye “the Met Gala’s Best-Dressed Couple.” I wouldn’t go that far, Vogue! I thought Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik were more interesting, although it was mostly Zayn, not Gigi. You can read Vogue’s write-up about Kimye here. Yesterday I noted how weird it felt to see Beyonce flying solo at the Met Gala. She seemed oddly vulnerable walking the carpet alone. While her sister was there, they didn’t walk the carpet together and they only spent time together inside the event. On the carpet, Beyonce seemed almost cautious, and like she was making a statement by going it alone. Page Six made a big deal about how Beyonce wasn’t wearing her wedding ring too. Sources claim Bey decided not to wear her ring because she didn’t think it “meshed well” with her Becky-skin Givenchy gown. So why did Jay-Z skip this year’s Met Gala? After the elevator drama post-Met Gala in 2014, Jay and Bey made a point of going to the 2015 Met Gala together as a show of solidarity. But post-Lemonade, Jay couldn’t be bothered? Beyoncé completely nailed her 2016 Met Gala look. There was just one thing missing when she hit the red carpet on Monday, May 2, in New York — her husband, Jay Z. Although fashion’s biggest night comes on the heels of Bey’s much talked-about visual album, Lemonade, sources tell Us Weekly that the rapper’s absence is no biggie — he’s simply just been there, done that. “He’s done it before,” the insider explains to Us. “There’s just no big reason for him to go.” [From Us Weekly] Suspicious? Yeah. Anyway, as I said, Bey and Solange spent a lot of time together inside the event. Solange didn’t bring her husband to the gala, but Alan Ferguson did come out for the post-gala parties. The singer first posed at Gilded Lily for the Balmain bash, where she hung out with the fashion house’s creative director, Olivier Rousteing, and her little sister Solange, who arrived with her husband, Alan Ferguson. “I don’t know where Jay was and I definitely thought it was interesting he didn’t come,” said one partygoer. “It definitely fuels speculation about the relationship, but I think that’s probably the point. People at the Met were talking about it.” But the chatter didn’t bother Beyoncé one bit. She celebrated with Champagne and “was in high spirits hanging out on the banquette with Olivier. She seemed to be in a very good mood,” a different source said. Bey later headed over to Up & Down, where DJ Jus Ske played Beyoncé’s song “Formation” as she arrived with Solange. Hot Guy Friday: Prince Harry wore a tux for the BT Sports Industry Awards

Yay, it’s Friday! It’s been a bitch of a week and we needed to end the week with Prince Harry (KING HARRY) in a tuxedo. King Harry with his tongue. YES! Honk for Harry’s Tongue. These photos are from last night’s BT Sports Industry Awards in London. Harry was there with a crew from Team Britain for the Invictus Games, which are coming up very, very soon. Harry was with his blokes, his friends, his mates. So of course he was happy and loose. He was also fussing with his tuxedo, like he couldn’t wait to take it off and… well, I’ll just let your mind wander. At the event, the MC Mark Durden-Smith made some jokes about how Harry needed to marry Cheryl Cole/Cheryl Fernandez-Versini. Durden-Smith said: “I know you take your royal duties very seriously Harry and I think one of the duties that the nation would like you to perform is to marry Cheryl Fernandez-Versini. It’s what the nation wants Harry so give it some thought.” Apparently, Harry “raised an eyebrow as he mused on the suggestion.” I know Britain is obsessed with Cheryl, but honestly… Harry could do better. Plus, she’s brunette and I just don’t think he’ll end up married to a brunette. He is just so g—damn cute, you guys. Duchess Kate wears decade-old boots, skinny jeans for Bhutan hike: cute?

Embed from Getty Images It’s been said before, but it’s worth repeating: the Duchess of Cambridge is at her best when she gets to do something athletic. When the photo-op involves running, hiking or being sporty, she does well. So these photos are totally fine with me – William and Kate took a three-hour hike today in Bhutan. It was an uphill climb/hike to the Tiger’s Nest monastery built into a clifftop. It’s one of the biggest tourist sites in Bhutan, which brings me to another point that a lot of the royal reporters have been making… just like Will and Kate’s Australia/New Zealand tour two years ago, this tour has seemingly involved a lot of tourist activities, almost like this is a government-sponsored vacation. Of course Will and Kate wanted to see the Tiger’s Nest and of course they enjoyed themselves. But don’t call it a royal tour, you know? Call it what it is: a vacation. For the hours-long hike, Kate chose a decent ensemble. Meaning, at least she didn’t attempt a lengthy hike in wedges or heels. She actually pulled out some brown Penelope Chilvers boots which she’s had in her closet for more than a decade. Kate was actually wearing these boots in one of her most famous college-era photos (go here to see). The boots cost £475. She paired her old boots with skinny jeans (that likely have some stretch), a simple white blouse and the £495 Nubuck vest/waistcoat. I don’t understand why a three-hour hike wouldn’t have been a perfect moment for a ponytail, but then again, I’m not a duchess. Apparently, as they were hiking, Kate joked that they were “burning off the curry.” The Daily Mail also points out that William was working up a sweat but that Kate is so sporty that she was breezing through the hike. I love that the @KensingtonRoyal Twitter manager posted the butt shot like that was the big take-away image from the hike. Farrah Abraham Creates New Name for Fans, Despite Not Having Any

These days, it’s not uncommon for celebrities to come up with a collective name for their fans. For example, Lady Gaga has her “Little Monsters” and Justin Bieber’s got “Beliebers,” and their followers wear the moniker proudly. And then there’s Farrah Abraham.  The two-bit reality TV personality has chosen the name “RahRahs” to describe her fans, alluding to the last syllable of her first name, but it doesn’t seem to be catching on.  The Teen Mom OG star used the indicator in her last two Instagram posts, trying hard to make it a thing. “Thanks for all your support my #RAHRAHS” she wrote in the caption of an image promoting her social media accounts. “Can you guess what I’m up to next from my #snapchat love all my #RahRahs,” she captioned a second post. However, upon clicking the presumptuous hashtag, one is taken to a collection of posts primarily depicting cheerleaders. In fact, the only two entries that have anything to do with Farrah are the ones she posted herself. Let’s see if it’s taking off on Twitter. Aha! We see the hashtag used by a fan here! That’s right, a fan. As in, one. It’s a direct tweet to Farrah in reply to her hashtagged tweet, coming from @WhitneysTruLove, a user who claims to have been Whitney Houston’s married life partner. Welp, you gotta hand it to the woman. Fail as she might, Farrah is unrelenting in her attempts to drum up publicity for herself, whether she’s trying to resurrect old beefs with Nicki Minaj or starring in Easter Bunny porn.
