Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton debut their new duet: magic or tragic?

Reality TV and music’s current “cute couple,” Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, used the show that brought them together, The Voice, to debut their first of what I can assume will be many duets. “Go Ahead and Break My Heart” is from Blake’s upcoming album, If I’m Honest, which drops on May 20. If watching couples make goo-goo eyes at each other for 4 minutes makes you nauseous, I’d recommend you don’t watch the clip. If you are a fan of the couple or of love, give it a peek. Gwen’s hair looks amazing and the top of the gown is lovely – she loses me at the sheer part around her legs, as it makes the dress look unfinished. Blake’s looking pretty handsome though. As much of a cynic as I can be about the fleeting romances of celebrities, it really does appear that these two are smitten with each other. Their voices blend together better than I would have thought, but Gwen definitely doesn’t have a voice for country. The version on Blake’s album is better than the live one, because of recording studio wizardry, but Gwake’s chemistry kind of sells the song in the clip. During the taping of the segment, Voice judge Pharrell Williams quipped “Aww, you guys look so cute,” but there didn’t appear to be much enthusiasm coming from the other judges. I do love how you don’t see one iota of excitement from Christina Aguilera and not much more than polite head nodding from Adam Levine. He added, “We were a little nervous at first as to how people would receive it, because it’s not written in a traditional way at all.” He went on to tell Extra: Originally, when I started the song, I was just, I was only trying to impress her, you know, just trying to write her a song to get her excited about me, and I sent her the song half-finished and she wrote the other half of the song, so it’s such a 50/50 emotionally-invested thing. [From Extra] I guess music is the grown-up equivalent to the old “Do you like me? Check ‘yes’ or ‘no’.” notes we used to pass around in school. I do have to admit that watching the clips of Blake, I never realized how downright charming he is. I kind of have a little crush on him now. I can see how Gwen fell for him. Voice showrunner Mark Burnett took some time away from promoting his upcoming remake of Ben Hur (WHY?) he produced to share his thoughts on the couple, telling ET, I was there in those dark moments because we were working together at the time, it was their private lives but it spills over. And then I said to Blake and Gwen, ‘Imagine in your darkest moments if someone showed you a videotape of right now, the love you have, wouldn’t it be great?’ And they’re both smiling. Was Johnny Depp drunk at the ‘Alice Through the Looking Glass’ premiere?

Here are some photos of Johnny Depp and Mia Wasikowska at last night’s London premiere of Alice Through the Looking Glass, the sequel to the wildly popular Alice in Wonderland adaptation by Tim Burton. Depp returns as the Mad Hatter, Mia returns as Alice, and Sacha Baron Cohen (also pictured) stars as Time. This film also features Alan Rickman’s last voice performance as the Blue Caterpillar. Personally, I’m a little bit surprised that Amber Heard didn’t join her husband at this premiere – Amber loves a red carpet, and she loves the attention she gets from being on Johnny’s arm. I guess she’s working on Aquaman (she plays Aquaman’s wife) and maybe she couldn’t get away? Perhaps. Or maybe she didn’t want to prop up a totally sauced Johnny Depp one more time. Although I will say that Depp doesn’t look completely sh-t faced in these photos. I’d say he had a buzz, but wasn’t fall-down drunk. Speaking of Johnny slurring his words uncomfortably, most of you have already seen this video, but it’s worth posting. Following Depp and Heard’s hilariously awkward video apology in Australia, Johnny declared this week that wherever he goes now, he’s going to awkwardly apologize. How drunk does he seem in this video? More photos… allegedly, Mia is wearing Prada. Justin Bieber Gets FACE TATTOO, Fans Cry

When your blessed with a face as beautiful as Justin Bieber’s, why on earth would you want to mark it up with a self-inflicted, permanent scar? Your face is your money maker, Justin. Don’t you know that? No matter, because the singer just carved a new tattoo into his mug, just under his left eye. Luckily, it’s a small piece of art, unlike the monstrous face tat Zayn Malik showed off earlier this year (luckily, it wasn’t permanent). The Biebs reportedly got matching tattoos of a tiny cross with his good friend Joe Termini while they were in New York City earlier this week. Justin posted a dark, grainy selfie to Instagram in which you can see the new ink, although to me it looks more like a grain of wild rice. Not all his fans were thrilled with the new addition. “@justinbieber swear to god kid if you tattoo more of your beautiful face I quit,” wrote one fan. “This better be the only face tattoo you’ll ever get @justinbieber,” warned another. Beliebers recently breathed a sigh of relief after their idol got rid of his terribly unpopular dreadlocks, and now they’ve got this to deal with. However, the cross tattoo could be a sign that the pop star is in the midst of a religious awakening. Earlier this week, he shared a photo of a celestial nature to Instagram and gave a shout out to his homey God. “I am so lucky to share these moments with you, I am so glad God is able to move even when people are blind to it,” he wrote in the caption. “I am the one on that stage but I am nothing without a light shining through,” he continued. “I’m such an average, ordinary person that doesn’t deserve the praise. Blac Chyna is pregnant & pissed off at the Kardashians for leaking that info

Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna got engaged back in April. At the time, it seemed like a sudden move. And while I would never dare suggest that this is just a reality-show version of a shotgun marriage, that’s exactly what it looks like. On Friday, Blac Chyna and Rob confirmed that they are expecting their first child together. The baby will be Rob’s first overall, and Chyna’s second – she’s also mom to son King Cairo, whose father is Tyga (Kylie Jenner’s boyfriend). Chyna’s rep confirmed the pregnancy far and wide, telling media outlets: “I can confirm she’s pregnant and of course she’s happy.” But of course there’s already drama. People Magazine also noted in a later post that Chyna and Rob were not expecting to announce the news on Friday – they wanted to do it today, Sunday, for Mother’s Day. Chyna’s rep once again went to People and said: “She would have preferred to have announced it on Mother’s Day herself, but her hand was forced.” Who was “forcing” her hand? The Kardashian clan. Apparently, someone (or multiple someones) leaked the pregnancy info to media outlets on Friday, just to get at Chyna… maybe. I find it interesting that her rep is going on the record to People Mag just to stir the sh-t. As it turns out, Chyna has been a Kardashian all along, you know? She fits right in with the K-klan. People Mag also ran several positive, exclusive stories about the pregnancy and how Rob is elated about becoming a father, especially considering he lost his own father at such a young age. There’s also some insidery info about how the Kardashian-Jenner clan reacted to the news – go here to read. Apparently, Kris Jenner is not thrilled, and the Kardashian sisters are just sort of shell-shocked. Sources also say that Kim is already coming around, basically because she doesn’t see the point in starting a war with Rob and Chyna. Interestingly enough, in this week’s Life & Style, sources note that Rob is getting a bigger paycheck for Keeping Up with the Kardashians this season. For several seasons now, Rob has been in the wind, barely making appearances and not really engaging with the various storylines of the show. But if you’ve been watching this new season (currently airing), you might have noticed that Rob’s storyline is really dominating the show. So let me ask you… was that the plan all along? ???? Another day, another story about how LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian are close to broke-ass-broke. Star Magazine decide to run yet another piece about how Eddie is a terrible golddigger who will eventually dump LeAnn because she can’t afford to keep him in the lap of luxury for much longer. Star references their previous reporting on the alleged $350,000 LeAnn and Eddie borrowed from Dave and Lizzie Fradin, their couple-BFFs. The Fradins are their constant vacation-companions, and just judging solely from the photos that LeAnn posts on her social media, I’ve always thought that Lizzie and Eddie probably have something going on the side. I’m just saying, she looks like his type. Anyway, here are some highlights from Star’s current LeAnn-and-Eddie story: Dave & Lizzie Fradin are their constant companions. LeAnn and Eddie brought the Fradins along to Cabo for their anniversary trip, and Eddie spent most of the trip bonding with Dave. The money is running out. According to Star, they’re living on the equity pulled from their $3 million Hidden Hills home, but they had to borrow $350,000 from the Fradins as a down payment, then took out a $2.1 million loan. Eddie is a golddigger. An insider says: “Eddie married a mega-rich woman but now, with LeAnn’s career in crisis, they’re living on loans and struggling to make ends meet. It’s only a matter of time before the money runs out and they can’t borrow any more. When that happens, Edie won’t be sticking around… bottom line, Eddie is a complete golddigger. Deep down LeAnn knows he’ll leave her if she can’t regain her fame and fortune. If she can’t keep the gravy train going, her marriage is over.” LeAnn keeps alienating fans & friends. She was rude to Bill Mack, and she’s constantly skipping shows and forgetting her lyrics. An insider says: “LeAnn badly needs a hit, but what does she do? Makes enemies in the business.” LeAnn doesn’t want Eddie to work. Because of the constant rumors of Eddie’s wandering eye, the insider says: “LeAnn’s incredibly insecure and she’s glad Eddie isn’t working, because she fears he’ll sleep with any cute actress in his line of vision.” LeAnn was trying to make Eddie jealous. During the Cabo trip, LeAnn tried to chat up various men, just to get Eddie’s attention. He wasn’t biting. The insider says: “Eddie doesn’t care who she flirts with, he has no passion for her anymore. I believe that LeAnn and Eddie’s finances are a mess. I believe they haven’t paid back the $350,000 loan. I believe that LeAnn and Eddie can’t just be alone together, not even for their anniversary. I believe that LeAnn doesn’t want Eddie to work because she KNOWS he will bang anything with a pulse. Elizabeth Olsen won’t buy a house in LA because the paparazzi are ‘crippling’

Elizabeth Olsen covers the latest issue of Elle Canada. I’m not loving the editorial, but that’s mostly because I don’t think Olsen was well-served by the magazine’s stylists. In my opinion, she looks better in very clean styles and more natural, barely-there makeup. Elle Canada overloaded her with boho clothes and pink lipstick. As for the interview, she comes across a bit better in this piece than she did in her recent Times Style magazine piece. But there’s still something that bugs me: it’s a feeling of “are you really as famous as you think you are?” The way she complains about the paparazzi and the lengths she goes to in maintaining her “privacy,” you’d think she was Angelina Jolie or, hell, Blake Lively. It just doesn’t seem to match up to Olsen’s actual level of fame. Although, to be fair to her, she’s been dealing with crazy Tom Hiddleston-fans for more than a year, so maybe she does need to be careful. You can read the full interview here. Some highlights: She wants to be low-key: “A lot of the time in my life, I try not to take up space—I just want to disappear into a wall. And then eventually, when I’m around people I feel confident with, I’ll take up more space.” Moving between Marvel films & indies: “The only thing I care about is if the team is great, the script is good and the character is someone I can connect to in my gut. After that, it’s just a fun f–king job. I don’t have any regrets—I was just so happy to be working—but I was forcing myself not to give power to ‘the system.’ But the system does have power, and I’ve learned how to use it. It’s smarter than to ignore it.” She doesn’t want a social media presence: “I just have an old-school mindset. Also, girls I look up to, like Jennifer Lawrence, Rooney Mara and Alicia Vikander, don’t have it, and it hasn’t affected their careers remotely. I’d rather live as private a life as I can. I’m not trying to be a mysterious person, but I’d rather be seen as an actor from job to job. I’ve never lived my life trying to be an influencer; I’m happy keeping my own opinions for fun dinner conversation.” She won’t discuss her love life: Olsen says it’s just something that is “in her bones” and influenced heavily by her notoriously private older sisters. “From an outside point of view, people have an interest in people they’ve seen grow up. But no one in my family has ever cared to feed into that or make it more interesting than it is because, really, it’s not.” She doesn’t like fan mail either: “When I’m filming on location, our production office is listed and people send stuff. It makes me uncomfortable. I don’t want people to know what I’m up to or where I am.” She rents a house in LA & she has a roommate: “The moment I own a house, it becomes public knowledge,” she says, going on to describe the “crippling” nature of paparazzi in L.A., where, after being spotted, she won’t go home for several hours in case they follow her. “It’s pretty violating. At night when you can’t see anything because the flashes blind you, that’s really disconcerting.” [From Elle Canada] I understand just wanting to be a jobbing actress. I understand wanting to withhold part of yourself from the media. I even understand what she says about learning how to play the game and work “the system” to her advantage. But I feel like I’m hallucinating a little bit when she goes on and on about how she can’t own a house because then they know where you live and she’ll get pap’d every day. Maybe she’s really, really good at hiding out already, but there are RARELY candid photos of Olsen in LA or anywhere else. She gets photographed at premieres, media events and fashion events. She got pap’d in London when she went on a date with Tom Hiddleston last year. And beyond that… nothing. So is she really good at hiding out, or is she just not as famous as she thinks she is?
