Demi Lovato to a Fan: “Is that how my boobs should look?”

The full story from Huffington Post: [A fan] drawing of Lovato topless with a mermaid tail caught the singer’s attention, and not in the good way. “Is that how my boobs should look?” she commented on a fan’s Instagram that reposted the photo this week. “It’s gorgeous but that’s not my body.” The drawing is inspired by a sultry promotional shot from her new single “Body Say,” which shows Lovato nude, but sans mermaid tail, in the same position. Unlike the fan artwork, however, bed sheets largely cover her bust and waist. Vladimir Serbanescu, the Romanian artist responsible for the image, quickly defended his artwork on Instagram and responded to Lovato’s accusation that he misrepresented her body. “If i make your waist slimmer and your boobs bigger to accentuate the fact that i drew you as a mermaid, a mythological creature, doesn’t mean I say that you should look like that or all girls should look like that,” he wrote. “That’s how i imagine mermaids. Ah, it’s that time of year when we get to see the September Issue covers. It seems like they start coming in earlier and earlier. Harper’s Bazaar devoted their September issue to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. The photoshoot is decent – there are a few random shots, but I love the close-up of Kim and Kanye’s faces. You can see the full editorial and interview here. Surprisingly, I enjoyed the interview. Kanye often comes across as eccentric and mercurial (if not flat-out crazy) in interviews, but doing a joint interview with Kim grounds him. And while neither of them is going to win a genius grant any time soon, I enjoyed this piece and I think people often miss the fact that Kanye has a very dark, sardonic sense of humor. Some highlights: Kim and Kanye on each other’s favorite body parts: KW: Is the face a body part? My favorite body part of Kim’s: heart. KKW: Awww, now I have to say the same. But of my own, I like my upper stomach. I just seem to always have abs.When I’m not really pregnant, I have a great two-pack. And of Kanye’s? I have to say his heart. And I’ve always loved his legs. Favorite Taylor Swift song? KW: For me? I don’t have one. KKW: I was such a fan of hers. Historical figure you identify with? KKW: This one is hard. KW: Us? Muhammad Ali, Marilyn Monroe—all day. Next question. Favorite selfie pose? KKW: I love a selfie in the mirror. KW: I love her nude selfies. Like, I love the ones from the side, the back ones, and the front. I just love seeing her naked; I love nudity. And I love beautiful shapes. I feel like it’s almost a Renaissance thing, a painting, a modern version of a painting. I think it’s important for Kim to have her figure. To not show it would be like Adele not singing. Who’s more vain? KKW: I mean, me. KW: Yeah, I think she has vanity. And with me, I don’t give a f–k, bro; it is what it is. I’m the best—now what? I don’t know if that’s a vain statement. I don’t particularly like photos of myself, though. What makes you both laugh? KKW: Kanye just says the funniest analogies that are so random. I should start keeping a book—in 20 years, I’ll have a big book of analogies.They always make me laugh. KW: Kim’s just a funny person in general. KKW: But I don’t get credit for being funny; it’s, like, not a thing. KW: I think my sense of humor is really dark and super twisted and stuff like that. It’s like, “Is this a funny joke for real? Or am I just rich?” See? That was funny. How would you like to be remembered? KKW: I’d like to be remembered as someone who was smart in business, works hard, and can be sexy and a mom. A powerful but still sexy, nonconforming woman. And I would hope that Kanye would be remembered for being smart and sticking to what he believes. KW: Determined. I would say my determination is way higher than my smartness. KKW: A lot of people have strong beliefs, but they don’t have the confidence to really stick to them. I really respect Kanye for that. Kanye isn’t an overthinker: “The one thing I don’t have an insecurity about is public perception. I’m not going to conform to it, you know? Here’s something that’s contrary to popular belief: I actually don’t like thinking. I think people think I like to think a lot. And I don’t. I do not like to think at all…. I think about things to put them in a place where I don’t have to think about them anymore. Say if I had a child with a really bad mom, I would have to think more than if I had a child with a good mom. I’m just doing my homework early. I told my trainer today, I’m a mix of a 14-year-old high schooler and a 60-year-old guy. It can never fall into the 30s or the 40s. It has to be 100 percent 60 or 100 percent 14, no in between.” [From Harper’s Bazaar] I do think this is funny: “Is this a funny joke for real? Or am I just rich?” Kanye and Kim also openly talk about his debt and how it felt good for him to talk about it openly, but it sounds like he doesn’t have debt issues anymore, probably because his collaboration with Adidas is going really well. What else? I don’t know, I just think they’re funny and they complement each other really well. There were several really sweet moments between them, like Kim saying that she lies to people all the time about how much Kanye loves to sleep, because he’s like a cat, apparently, and he falls asleep anywhere and everywhere. Does Taylor Swift even care about Kanye West’s gross ‘Famous’ video?

As we discussed on Sunday, Kanye West dropped his music video for “Famous” late Friday night. He premiered it like a movie, then streamed it on Tidal. You can see the very, very NSFW clip here. The video included wax-figures or look-alikes of everyone from Donald Trump to George W. Bush to Taylor Swift and Rihanna. It was and is a huge mess. But something funny happened after the video dropped… beyond internet commenters, no one really cared. Kanye even went on Twitter and begged people to sue him. But there’s barely been any reaction besides a lot of shrugs. It’s been more than 36 hours since Kanye West debuted his anticipated “Famous” music video and the rapper has so far been met with mostly silence from the celebs he included in the NSFW clip. He had premiered the clip Friday night at a massive fan event at the L.A. Forum, where he was joined by wife Kim Kardashian and other family members and friends. Both he and Kim are also featured nude in the video, lying in bed with naked people resembling former President George W. Bush, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour, Rihanna, her ex Chris Brown, Kim’s ex Ray J, Kanye’s ex Amber Rose, Kim’s mom’s ex Caitlyn Jenner, Bill Cosby and yes, Taylor Swift . As of Sunday morning, neither have most of the stars shown in the clip. Chris Brown, however, who doesn’t appear to be bothered by it. “Why I gotta have the plumbers butt / crack showing WAX figure?” he wrote on Instagram, adding a string of smiley faces. “This n—a KANYE CRAZY, talented, but crazy.” In addition, an aide for Bush told Us Weekly, “That’s not him.” Meanwhile, Kanye took to Twitter Saturday to post, “Can somebody sue me already #I’llwait.” He later deleted the tweet. [From E! News] Amber Rose didn’t even say anything! And while “sources” claim that Taylor Swift is beyond pissed about her “inclusion” in the video, she still hasn’t said anything about it, nor has she leaked any quotes to People, Us Weekly or E! News. The only site claiming to have some insight on what Taylor is thinking is Hollywood Life! So take it with a grain of salt: “Taylor is livid. Taylor is horrified [by the ‘Famous’ music video]. Taylor didn’t know what to do when she heard about what Kanye did. She is bewildered, feels betrayed and is beyond frustrated with Kanye. It is like a complete nightmare. Taylor is pissed to say the least!” [From Hollywood Life] While I imagine Taylor is horrified, along with the rest of the people included in Kanye’s art project, I do think it’s smart that no one is engaging Kanye. That’s what will hurt him more than any lawsuit or statement: ambivalence. Apathy. A shrug. When no one even cares enough to sue, that’s a problem on Kanye’s end. Yes, this is a thing you can actually do now, thanks to the shameless promotion of Kim K. herself. As owner of the world's most famous ass, Kim has plastered her cartoon Kimoji butts all over a sheet of high-end paper and is selling the rolls for $35 a pop. Thirty-five dollars? It'd be far cheaper to DIY with a few copies of her Paper magazine shoot and some Elmer's glue, but that's just me. Actually, no. Because who wants to receive any sort of present wrapped in Kim's ass? We see that thing all day, err day in all of our internet feeds, whether we want to or not. But don't despair, if you prefer the other end of Kim's bod, you can also purchase a roll of the wrap featuring her cry face. At this point, pics of Kim's butt or any other body part is truly just passe and barely worth a glance, because they're not exactly in short supply. Recently, the selfie queen took it all off for GQ magazine, and the only one who even seemed to look twice was her husband Kanye West. Actually, we take that back. Her ex-husband Kris Humphries reportedly described her images in the magazine as "scrumptious," although Gossip Cop refuted that claim. Ironically, even though Kim's ample ass has brought her fame and fortune, she now wants to downsize her badonkadonk. While she's met her goal of losing all the weight she gained while pregnant with her son Saint West, she says wants to lose 12 more pounds of butt weight to get down to 120. "My butt and my hips are the last to go, but I'm not stopping!" Kardashian said. “I want to lose my bum, not all the way but it’s weird how your body changes with different babies," she told fans at London's Vogue Festival last month. “I want to get to Kim 2010-11 so I’m really going to focus and get there,” she added. And when that happens, she can re-brand the wrapping paper as "Vintage Kim" and charge an extra $25. She already sent some to Kylie Jenner, who posted it on Snapchat:

Duchess Kate repeats a red Catherine Walker ensemble: fab or drab?

RED HEELS!!!!!! Duchess Kate is wearing red heels! No wedges of doom. No nude pumps. No beige stilettos. She’s wearing honest-to-God red heels! And they’re good, aren’t they? I also have to say, I’ve always had a great deal of affection for Kate in red. She wears a lot of blue, probably because she A) thinks blue is her signature color and B) wants everything to match Big Blue, her sapphire engagement ring. But red looks amazing on her and she wears it too infrequently. These photos are from yesterday’s Order of the Garter ceremony at Windsor Castle, William and Kate’s fourth public outing in as many days. Kate’s Catherine Walker dress and coat were repeats, but I actually didn’t remember them. She wore this ensemble for the first time in 2011, during her first royal tour to Canada. She actually styled it differently this time too – she wore her hair back and she wore a rather fancy hat. She accessorized with the same diamond drop earrings that she wore for her wedding (purchased as a gift by her parents), a silver pendant (which she has been wearing a lot lately) and an Art Deco-ish bracelet, which we’ve seen before. I’m totally fine with the whole look. And I’ll say again: she should seriously consider adding more red pieces to her wardrobe. And just say no to nude heels! Meanwhile, Vanity Fair reports that William and Kate will be stopping by the Royal Ascot this week “much to the Queen’s delight.” After a spectacular turn out for the Queen’s 90th birthday over the weekend, the royals will be out in full force again this week to celebrate Royal Ascot. Royal Watch has learned that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will make their debut at the annual race meet/high-society outing in Berkshire, much to the Queen’s delight. In the past, William and Kate have always turned down offers to join the Queen and her guests in the Royal Enclosure, but this year they are turning out as a birthday surprise for the Queen, who has attended every Royal Meeting at the Ascot during her reign. “They know how much Ascot means to the Queen and they will be there for one day this week,” says a source about the event, which commences Tuesday. “They will enjoy an afternoon in the royal box with Her Majesty.” [From Vanity Fair] What’s interesting to me is that the Queen has requested their presence apparently multiple times over the past five years and they were always too “busy,” I suppose? I always imagined that when the Queen asks you to go somewhere, it’s not a request, it’s an order. However will William and Kate recuperate from this harried work schedule? Duchess Kate in a Catherine Walker coatdress at St. Paul’s: cute or cloying?

Here are some photos of the Duchess of Cambridge and other royals today at St. Paul’s Cathedral. They attended a service of thanksgiving for Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday, which is funny because today is actually the Duke of Edinburgh’s 95th birthday. But today is the start of a three-day celebration for the Queen, her birthday and her historic reign. In addition to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, this church service was also attended by the York princesses, Prince Harry, the Prince of Wales, the Countess of Wessex, the Duke of York, the Princess Royal, the Duchess of Cornwall, Zara Phillips, Tony Blair, David Cameron and John Major. You can see the Daily Mail’s photos here. While the Queen wore a bright yellow, Kate decided on a more muted palate. She chose this light blue Catherine Walker coatdress, because Kate is obsessed with coatdresses. The white, lacy lattice-work down the front is not my cup of tea, but I think the look is appropriate for a morning church service. The thing that bugs me most of all is that I believe with all my heart that Kate had the hem raised so she could show off more leg, and whomever did it made a hash of it – look at how uneven that looks! Kate’s hat is by Jane Taylor, and Kate paired the ensemble with a pair of much-beloved nude heels. I have to say… the York princesses looked fantastic this morning. The Duke of York, not so much.
