Chloë Grace Moretz and Brooklyn Beckham make red carpet debut: cute?

Embed from Getty Images This ^^ is the Alexander McQueen dress Chloë Grace Moretz wore to the premiere of her new film, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising. With the dress’ frayed, open knit and saloon girl fringe draped over the arm combined with an exposed sheer black lace bra, I don’t think she needed the tussled locks for the just-rolled-out-of-bed look. In Chloë’s defense, she is wearing the look as it was shown on the runway, I’m just not sure she should have. Anyway, Chloë, 19, walked with OFFICIAL boyfriend, Brooklyn Beckman, 17, on their first red carpet! The couple started dating about two years ago but were cagey about their status for some time. Well, no longer: Social Media Posting? Check. Official Confirmation? Check. Red Carpet Appearance? Check – folks, this relationship has lift-off. Brooklyn, looking a great deal like Blane from Pretty in Pink, happy posed with his girlfriend on her big night and the two shared the same amount of PDA as they did while dining with their families last month. Chloe Grace Moretz and Brooklyn Beckham just took a major step in their relationship. The two hit their first red carpet together earlier tonight at the Hollywood premiere of Moretz’s new comedy Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising. “Now, it’s out. It’s done,” Moretz, 19, told me. “Get over it. It’s real. We’re together and that’s it!” Beckham, 17, actually surprised Moretz by flying in for the premiere from London. “He’s very sweet,” Moretz said, adding, “He’s a very very genuine man. He’s a gentle man.” The two took some photos before Moretz made her way down the carpets to do interviews. Beckham was spotted hanging out behind the step and repeat before heading into the theater. Moretz also gushed about Brooklyn’s mom Victoria Beckham. Yes, they talk about fashion. “She’s a sweetie,” said Moretz, who was wearing a black ensemble from Alexander McQueen. “I love everything she does. We definitely give each other compliments, that’s for sure.” The raunchy Neighbors sequel is something different for Moretz. In fact, she even shot a sex scene with Efron. While it didn’t make the final cut of the movie, Moretz said, “We’re going to release it online pretty soon. It’s pretty wild.” [From E! News] Okay, it’s kind of sweet that he flew in to surprise her for the premiere – but that is as generous as I am going to get. Is it just me or is Chloë reading a little more importance into her relationship than, say, the rest of the world? “Get over it”? Well, gosh, give me a minute to… oh, wait – I am over it. Moreham (Chlooklyn?) does want us to know that they have only recently reunited. This may be due to the fact that Brooklyn’s relationship with Sonia Ben Ammar just ended in March. However, reminding the world she had him first, Chloë told Entertainment Tonight that they met, “a long time ago, years ago.” She also says Brooklyn’s, “… a sweetie. He’s a good boy!” (ruff!) In the excerpt above, she calls Victoria Beckham “a sweetie” as well. So I guess all the Beckhams are just a big bunch of sweeties. I may pass on the sex scene between Chloë and Zac Efron, though. Chloe may be 19 but she doesn’t quite look it to me. The good news for Chloë is Neighbors 2, which opens this Friday, is – so far – getting semi-decent reviews as a comedy. Oh heavens to Betsy – what is Rose Byrne wearing? Embed from Getty Images Embed from Getty Images Photo Credit: Fame/Flynet Photos and Getty Images

Farrah Abraham: Sophia’s Opening Her Own Fashion Boutique!

Sophia Abraham is one business-savvy seven-year-old. While her mom Farrah Abraham makes a business of pissing people off at every turn, the little girl is getting ready to open up her own fashion boutique. “What I’m most proud of is Sophia is really into fashion,” Farrah told People magazine. “She’s opening up her own Sophia Laurent boutique store in Austin, Texas,” the Teen Mom OG star announced. “She’s mentioned in New York Fashion Week. She’s in children model magazines.”  “I’m so proud of Sophia and that doesn’t even really impact her real life. She’s just been so successful on her own so that’s just awesome to me.” Mama bear makes it sound as though Sophia is doing all this on her own, and that Farrah’s not pulling the strings at all. We’re trying to envision Sophia in a power suit negotiating with venture capitalists, but it kinda sounds like a poorly scripted Nickelodeon show. In February, Farrah took her daughter to New York Fashion Week. Sophia looked adorable but some fans criticized her mom for allowing her to wear makeup at such a young age. “This is Sophia’s first Fashion Week,” Farrah Abraham told Us Weekly. Due to a late flight, the tot was unable to walk in the Bound by the Crown fashion show, but she was able to score a front row seat and wear an outfit designed by Game of Crowns star Susanna Paliotta. We wish Sophia the best of luck in her new venture. View Slideshow: “Momager” Farrah Abraham Parades Sophia Around Fashion Week

Bethenny Frankel: Minority companies should hire white spokesmen (Update)

Embed from Getty Images To be fair to a woman who has established that she’s a racist a-hole, we are relying on secondhand accounts of a talk which Bethenny Frankel gave to a room of women business owners, at a conference called Project Entrepreneur. Jezebel compiled the responses to Bethenny’s speech and several attendees were outraged. Bethenny allegedly (again this is secondhand as there is no video) told minority women that they should hire white male spokespeople for their businesses. Several attendees tweeted about this. Bethenny also reportedly suggested using sex for business purposes. When two women of color got up during the Q&A session to tell Bethenny how wrong she was, they were shut down. An entrepreneur named Mary Pryor blogged about her experience trying to question Bethenny about her offensive speech: I was one of the women who tried to stand up to reality TV star and Skinny Girl Vodka founder, Bethenny Frankel, at a women’s entrepreneurial summit over the weekend. And was silenced. As a participant in Rent The Runway’s and UBS’s Project Entrepreneur, a new initiative to equip women founders with the tools and advice they need to thrive in the marketplace, I was stunned when Frankel implied that women should have sex with men in exchange for capital. I was offended when she expressed some kind of kinship with black women because she’s “loud.” And I was taken aback when she advised those of us in the room to get business advice to hire a white man as the face of our companies. The session was not recorded, but it caused a firestorm both in New York City, where the event took place, and on social media. Another female founder of color, Naomi Hirabayashi of Shine Text, was just as disturbed given this response. Many of the women of color in the audience turned their heads in shock. Some took to the mic, prepared to address the inflammatory remarks. While Frankel’s flawed advice comes with unfortunate truths regarding access to funding- white men do get the lion’s share of venture capital funding while black women founders don’t seem to even register on the radar. This phenomenon was most recently covered in Digital Undivided’s #ProjectDiane report; it’s clear tech has a long way to go when it comes to supporting black women founders. Armed with this knowledge, I weighed the pros and cons of responding to Frankel after I saw eye rolling, dismissive stares, and “Here she goes!” reactions from other women in the room but. Something needed to be said. Not even when the wrong-headedness was called to her attention, Frankel didn’t back down. Nothing. No apology. No acknowledgement of an ignorant reply. Just a comment from a moderator about “breaking up a fight” and removing the mic from our hands. Naomi and I stood there shaking our heads. We stood up to defend female founders of color. She stood up as an ally aware of bias and ignorance in tech. We came together respectfully and left disappointed. [From The Huffington Post via Jezebel] Project Entrepreneur has since apologized while Bethenny has tweeted some nonsense about color not mattering. You know that means she said all these obnoxious things. I don't care if ur woman, man, black, white, hispanic, green or purple. In biz & life be better than everyone else.Don't complain.Don't explain. — Bethenny Frankel (@Bethenny) April 13, 2016 Here are some tweets about this speech: (4) For @Bethenny to insist that a young, Black female founder "Find a white guy" to rep her biz is a racial microaggression #PEIntensive16 — Mary Pryor (@msmarypryor) April 11, 2016 To the brave black woman who asked what to do when ppl tell her to get a white man as the face of her org,Im so sorry for @Bethenny's answer — Marah Lidey (@marahml) April 9, 2016 Convo w/ @bethenny: should u do whatever it takes 2 succeed like hiring a white male spokesperson as a minority entrepreneur? #PEIntensive16 — Ellen Choi (@LNchoi) April 9, 2016 1.Hi @msmarypryor TY for standing up+speaking your mind. The fact that you felt shut down is completely contrary to the goals of the weekend — Project Entrepreneur (@pjtentrepreneur) April 11, 2016 We apologize to you and our guests. — Project Entrepreneur (@pjtentrepreneur) April 11, 2016 Project Entrepreneur went one further and tweeted that Bethenny was wrong, essentially and that “We believe that every founder is enough on her own. We disagree with any sentiments to the contrary.” I hope this means that businesses and organizations will think twice before giving Bethenny a platform, but then I see the orange idiot who’s running for president and realize that there are a lot of racists who are being given platforms lately. Update: Bethenny has denied saying this despite the many eyewitness accounts and she has gone on to block several people on Twitter insisting she said it. Kate Moss covers Vogue UK for the 37th time: enough already or fine?

It’s difficult to even describe, as an outsider to British culture and celebrity, what Kate Moss means to Great Britain. Like, she’s one of the most iconic British people in the world right now. She’s arguably the most famous British model of all time. She’s been well-known, beloved and gossiped about for more than two decades. There has barely been a month in 20 years when Kate isn’t somewhere, doing something or covering some magazine or walking some runway or part of some scandal or being discussed in some way. And throughout it all, she barely ever speaks in public. Finding a quote from Kate Moss is like finding the Holy Grail. So, she covers the May issue of Vogue UK. Guess how many times she’s covered British Vogue? 37 TIMES. Seriously. That’s practically twice a year for 20 years. Kate got the cover this time to… like, pay homage to fifty years of the Rolling Stones. That’s what the Union Jack-flag photo is all about, it’s an homage to the famous photos of Mick Jagger draped in a Union Jack. Still, why not put Mick Jagger on the cover? No, they had to use Moss. Again. For the 37th time. Meanwhile, did you hear that Kate is leaving her long-time modeling agency? She was discovered by Sarah Doukas of Storm Models when she was 14 and she’s been with Storm ever since. Kate is 42. So… nearly 30 years. And she’s done. Kate Moss has left Storm Models, the agency to which she has been signed since she was first discovered by its founder Sarah Doukas in JFK airport aged 14, the company confirmed to us this morning. “After a successful 28 year relationship, Kate is moving her business in house, and we will continue to maintain an active involvement in our on-going deals for her,” read a statement from the agency, which is responsible for the fashion careers of hundreds of major fashion models including Cindy Crawford, Jourdan Dunn, Liu Wen, Behati Prinsloo and, until recently, Cara Delevingne. The agency does, however, still have one Moss on its books in the form of Kate’s little sister, Lottie. Moss – who has established herself as a shrewd businesswoman in recent years with many collaborations and additional ventures to her modelling – will, moving forward, manage the majority of her modelling commitments herself, collaborating with the agency on an ad-hoc basis. The move, however, is said to be amicable. [From Vogue UK] If this was anyone else, I might think that the model was pissed that she wasn’t getting consistent work in her 40s. But this is Kate Moss and she still works all the time. I’ve heard that she still has plenty of offers for advertising and magazine work and she can pick and choose what she does. So what’s this about? Her divorce? A new phase in her career? I have no idea. Photos courtesy of Craig McDean/Vogue UK.

Willow Smith, 15, is Chanel’s latest brand ambassador: great choice or meh?

Back in 2010, Jada and Will Smith seemed hellbent on forcing their kids to act like adults and have adult-sized careers. Willow began a music career, and Jaden began an acting career. While Jaden has continued with his public life, Willow has spent much of the past five years or so taking a step back. Reportedly, she was the one to tell her dad that she just “wanted to be a kid” for a while rather than a celebrity/singer/model/whatever. Well, now at the tender age of 15, Willow is re-entering public life. These photos are of Willow and Jada at the Chanel show during Paris Fashion Week this week. Willow and Jada were invited to sit front-row at the show because Willow is now the newest face of Chanel, as she has just been named the latest “brand ambassador” for 2016. Willow joins a long list of famous Chanel brand ambassadors, including at various times Blake Lively, Gig Hadid, Lily-Rose Depp, Kendal Jenner, Cara Delevingne, etc. I actually think it’s smart to start diversifying the ambassadors these days, so at least there’s that. The Chanel press release simply read: “Karl Lagerfeld has chosen Willow Smith as a new CHANEL ambassadress.” Personally, I don’t hate it (but I don’t love it either). It’s not as offensive to me as Jaden Smith being hired to front a campaign for Louis Vuitton womenswear, mostly because I am unclear as to whether Willow will actually be doing print ads for Chanel. I think brand-ambassadors just have to wear Chanel to big events and go to like two runway shows a year. But if Willow’s growth spurt tells us anything, it’s that she might make modeling her newest career. Incidentally, Willow is wearing a Chanel catsuit/wetsuit in these photos. She looks like a superhero! I absolutely loathe the shoes and the eye makeup though. Photos courtesy of Fame/Flynet.

The Cambridges ‘were just like a family on holiday but with loads of help’

Just thought you’d like to see the front page of The Sun! I love how The Sun doesn’t even care, they’re just calling him Work-Shy Will all the time now. The Daily Mail has been doing it too. Anyway, if you’re still reeling from how tone-deaf the Cambridges’ vacation was, you’re not alone. Obviously, a lot of people in the British media feel the same way. Which is why all the papers have been on the hunt for damaging details about the trip, or any unnamed-source willing to go on the record about how out of touch William and Kate are. HuffPo UK ran some coverage about how Piers Morgan claimed William “hates the press and this is a very deliberate and unacceptable attempt to shackle and control them.” To which HuffPo’s “source” said: A source told The Huffington Post UK that this was not the case and the Cambridges’ decision to holiday in relative privacy was borne out of a desire to shield their young children from a stressful exchange with the media. The source said: “The Duke and Duchess feel strongly that small children should not be paraded around the media and inviting a trusted photographer allowed pictures to be shared with the public in an less obtrusive way. There are no deals to be done around the privacy of the children, and they [the Duke and Duchess] are confident in the decisions they are making.” [From HuffPo UK] That’s their habit, whenever anyone questions the way Will and Kate operate, they deflect to their children. It’s all for their kids, and they are raising their kids their way. Except that The Telegraph points out the holiday was mostly a getaway for Will and Kate, and they brought lots of nannies and staff to handle the children. Details have begun to emerge of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s first family holiday as a family in D, which included arriving by private jet and dining in some of the resort’s finest restaurants. They took Prince George, two, and Princess Charlotte, 10 months, on a four-night secret jaunt to the French Alps, with Kensington Palace only releasing photographs following their return to the UK. Conditions were too dangerous on Wednesday to land at Courchevel’s altiport, which has a runway of just 537m and is considered to be one of the most dangerous airports in the world. With no lighting aids, landing in fog and low clouds is impossible. Instead, the royal family are believed to have flown by private jet with their close friend James Meade and his wife Lady Laura Marsham. The jet reportedly owned by the billionaire Duke of Westminster, to Chambery and travelled the remaining 60 miles by a chauffeur-driven private hire car. The royal family and their entourage of nannies and security guards stayed at a luxury chalet in Courchevel 1850, the most expensive district in Les Trois Vallees, hiring an English team of chalet staff from a local company. Lined with designer boutiques including Dior, Chanel and Prada, the resort is the highest in Courchevel and boasts five Michelin star restaurants. It has more expensive hotels than any city in France other than Paris, including three with the top “Palace” rating, 16 with five-star status. The lower resorts – Courchevel Le Praz (1300), Courchevel Moriond (1650) and Courchevel Village (1550) – are more modest and affordable. An employee at Le Pilatus restaurant, at the base of the slopes, said that the royal couple enjoyed a meal at the restaurant during their stay at the exclusive resort….The couple appeared to have just been skiing and were accompanied but two adult friends but no children, he added. The Duke and Duchess were also spotted lunching alone at La Soucoupe, a popular and expensive mountain restaurant above Courchevel that is run by its vivacious owner, Marta Pecchio. The restaurant on the piste, which is only accessible by skiing, has a roaring log fire and serves dishes such as tagliatelle with truffles, squid cooked in its own ink, or grilled lobster. A diner at the restaurant said: “They clearly seemed to be enjoying themselves. They were on their own without even a ski instructor, just like normal people. There was no obvious sign of any security guards.” Emily Taylor, 23, from London, saw William and Kate walking just outside a bar on Thursday lunchtime. “I think George had been in a ski lesson because someone was carrying really baby skis,” she told the Daily Mail. “They looked happy and were just walking and talking. A nanny was looking after Charlotte. They were just like a family on holiday but with loads of help.” [From The Telegraph] Of all the complaints that I have about the Cambridges, I have really never cared about the fact that they have child care. They have nannies… so what? A lot of people have nannies. What I do care about is A) when they lie about how much help they have and B) when they lie about how everything is for the children when clearly, Will and Kate just wanted to go on vacation. They brought along their kids so they could pose for photos with them and then William and Kate enjoyed the rest of their holiday without dealing with the kids. And they honestly believed that everyone would just be so grateful to see the kids that no one would question it further.
