Embed from Getty Images I’m developing a bizarre conspiracy theory about Lady Gaga this year. Not only does she look really, really different these days, but she sounds different too, right? I had totally forgotten that Gaga was scheduled to sing the National Anthem at Super Bowl 50, so I was pleasantly surprised when she stepped out in a sparkly suit and did a “Broadway” version of the Anthem. But… I didn’t think she sounded like herself. Her voice sounded different to me. Is it possible that she pre-recorded the Anthem and there was some post-production trickery? Is it possible that Old Gaga has been replaced by New Botox Gaga? I’m just putting it out there. If “Paul is dead” can be a conspiracy that lasts for decades, so too can the “Gaga has been replaced” conspiracy. She sounded fine. I’m glad that she treated the Anthem with respect and that she used the opportunity to show off her vocals, because it’s a notoriously difficult song to sing correctly. I’m also glad that Gaga wore an appropriate outfit, mostly because I’m grateful I’m not having to sift through 10 million headlines about “Why did Gaga wear a meat dress and nude panties to the Super Bowl?” Gaga’s sparkly suit is Gucci. Classy! Her blue sparkly mani got some attention too. Good for her. Man, 2016 really is turning out to be Gaga’s comeback year. I noticed it first at the premiere of The Big Short in November, but a lot of people commented on his “freshened” look at the Golden Globes. I think it’s probably a combination of factors, some of which are rather harmless. Like, Brad had facial hair on and off for years, but these days he’s rocking a clean-shaven look, so he automatically looks different. He’s also got a haircut (that looks like a ‘90s wiglet), which changes his appearance. But there is something else going on. Aggressive facial peels? Botox? A facelift? Life & Style says no – their sources claim Brad’s new look is the result of a new diet, skin care treatments and IV vitamin drips. Brad Pitt is turning back the clock! An insider close to Brad reveals in the new issue of Life & Style Weekly that for the past several months, Brad has been on an intense antiaging regimen that includes a new diet, expensive skin care treatments and even IV vitamin drips! “He’s been telling friends about his new antiaging plan,” an insider tells Life & Style. “He’s been doing it with the help of a nutritionist and a personal chef.” The insider reveals the details of his new diet to Life & Style, on newsstands now. It’s heavy on salmon, walnuts and chia seeds, which are high in omega-3 fatty acids to combat wrinkles, plus lean meats and eggs, which provide amino acids to help repair damaged skin cells, according to the insider. Other staples in Brad’s strict regimen are brown rice and beets, since they are high in phytoceramides, which many people take as supplements to keep skin hydrated and plump. “What you put in your mouth shows on your skin,” says Beverly Hills dermatologist Dr. Ava Shamban, who does not treat the father of five. “His diet will help Brad’s skin repair itself.” The insider tells Life & Style that he’s also been supplementing the diet with “collagen smoothies and antiaging IV vitamin drips,” as well as going to get regular facials. “Brad’s working hard to keep his youthful looks,” the insider says. “The transformation has been nothing short of amazing.” [From Life & Style] Here’s the thing: I believe Brad Pitt is vain, but do I believe he’s THIS vain? I don’t. I think he would go in for some facial peels and some Botox. I don’t believe he would completely change his diet and get IV drips full of anti-aging vitamins. People are still talking about Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux’s appearance at the Critics’ Choice Awards. Personally, I think the awfulness of her Saint Laurent dress is totally a two-day story, but there are other moments to discuss. Like, Jennifer wasn’t just there as the wife of a nominee – Justin also got to present an award alongside Liv Tyler. Per Roger Friedman’s column: Jennifer Aniston– who came with husband Justin Theroux, nominated for “The Leftovers,” brought two burly security guards, just in case one of the celebrities got in her face. They stopped anyone from getting near her or taking a picture. Will Forte provided the overt comic relief with his half-shaven head, went over to Jen and posed for a picture, to which Jen quipped to the photographer, “Please fix his hair, while you’re at it, fix mine.” The bodyguards did serve an unwitting purpose however. The blocked the view between Paulson-Taylor and Paulson’s ex, the great theater actress Cherry Jones, known to TV audiences from “24.” Ouch. I don’t have a problem with that, and God knows what kinds of threats or craziness she gets. But it seems like Jennifer rolled up to a pretty low-key celebrity event and used her bodyguards to “protect” her from OTHER CELEBRITIES. Like, Sarah Paulson was going to fan-girl over Aniston and it was just going to be too much. And since Friedman noted it in this way, doesn’t it seem like Aniston was the only person there with bodyguards in tow?
