Lea Michele: “I get a lot of compliments on my legs, which is funny for a short girl”

On why the scale doesn’t determine her self-worth: “As I get older, my body is always changing. Right now I have so much energy, my skin looks good, and my butt is higher than it’s ever been. I’ve been skinnier and I’ve been a little bit bigger, and I’m never hard on myself one way or the other. The fact that I’m active, eating well, and taking care of myself is all that matters—not a number.” On why she loves her shape: “I love my shape because it’s unique to me. I’m 5’2”, and I get a lot of compliments on my legs, which is funny for a short girl. But they’re one of my favorite things about my body.” On learning to listen to her body: “If I have one of those days when I don’t want to work out, I ask myself why. I’ve learned how to listen to my body and know what I need in that moment. And I’m grateful for that. It took me a very long time to get to this place. Now I can tell when my body is saying to take a break from working out, or when it’s saying, No, you’re being a little lazy, so that I can push myself to get going.” On what she eats: “I was vegan for a while, I was vegetarian for 10 years, and now I’ve incorporated meat back into my diet. I eat as healthy as possible because I know food fuels me. I usually start my day with avocado toast or a green smoothie. I love a big salad for lunch; I’m always concocting recipes like kale Caesar or spinach artichoke salad. For dinner I’m flexible. If I’m going out and I want a bowl of pasta, I’ll eat it. I’m not hard on myself.” … says Lea in Shape. See more next! Victoria Beckham: “I eat lots of good fats, in avocados, nuts, seeds, salmon”

On how her diet fixed her skin problems: “I don’t think you realize how important [a healthy lifestyle is] until you get older. You realize how vital it is to wear sunscreen; to drink lots of water; to cleanse, tone, moisturize; take vitamins; make sure you’re eating the right food. I eat lots of good fats, in avocados, nuts, seeds, salmon… I see a dermatologist in LA, called Dr Harold Lancer, who is incredible – he sorted my skin out. I used to have really problematic skin and he said to me, “You have to eat salmon every single day.” ‘I said, “Really, every day?” And he said, “Yes; breakfast, lunch or dinner, you have to eat it every single day.” … says Victoria in Net-a-Porter. Ashley Graham Does Self Magazine

From Self: At 17, Graham signed with Wilhelmina Models and moved to New York City on her own. She quickly discovered the industry’s uglier aspects—for one thing, that even within the niche of plus-size modeling, body diversity has its limits. After one agent waved a wad of cash in her face and said, “You can make a lot more of this if you lose more pounds,” her body image took a dive. Graham began trying every diet under the sun, from cabbage soup to 10-day juice fasts. But nothing stuck. “All of a sudden, Mom wasn’t cooking for me; Mom wasn’t there being like, ‘Lets go work out!’ ” Her confidence plummeted, and so did the control she felt over her body. “I went from a size 12 to a size 18,” she says, trying to keep up with the constant partying and networking that seemed effortless to the other models and agents around her. “It was a dark place.” At the time, Graham couldn’t see herself as beautiful at a size 18, but more than that, “It was the way that I was treating my body. I didn’t understand the health aspect of it.” The former high school basketball and volleyball player stopped exercising, losing her tone and definition. Within a year of moving to New York, “I looked at myself in the mirror and said, ‘I hate you. You’re so gross,’ ” Graham recalls. “I’m looking at my cellulite and my back fat and thinking, I have to go shoot lingerie tomorrow and smile, and I am heinous. How can I get through this?” Read the full story HERE! See more! Gigi Hadid Talks Diet and Workouts in Harper’s Bazaar

On her daily morning routine: “I live near the Smile, and I love their scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast. I drink orange juice and coffee always. At home I love scrambled eggs and toast; it’s just an easy go-to. My boyfriend, being British, got me into breakfast beans, so that’s what I’ve been eating lately. Then I’ll go to Twitter for news. It’s so easy—you just enter a keyword and it’s done.” On how she maintains her figure: “I rode horses and played volleyball back home, so when I came to New York, it was really hard for me to just go to the gym. I need to have a sport and wake up and want to get better at something and boxing does that for me… My personal motto is “Eat clean to stay fit, have a burger to stay sane,” so if I’m in the mood, I’ll go to JG Melon in the West Village.” … says Gigi. Katy Perry’s Parents Want You to Pray for Their Daughter

Katy Perry is one of the most successful female artists on the planet. She’s managed to stay relevant ever since the release of her hit single, “I Kissed A Girl” way back in 2008.  Her parents, Keith and Mary Hudson are deeply religious and recently lifted the lid on how they really felt about their daughter.  They revealed crazy information about the family across two packed services at the Church of Grace in Yorba Linda, California on July 17 and 18.  It isn’t news that the both Keith and Mary have been embarrassed by their daughter’s past. You only need to look at some of her music videos to find out why.  They even chimed in on her feud with Taylor Swift. “Don’t judge her, pray for her,” they implored. Okay then.  Her mother also addressed Perry’s new single, “Rise.”  “She [Katy] released a new song called ‘Rise.’ It says, ‘My feet have been put to the fire but I will rise.’ That’s what she’s about right now.” Could this mean that the singer’s new material will be less racy than past efforts?  Keith noted that he recently spoke to Perry and even talked about the lyrics of the track.  “If you listen to this new song you know it ain’t over yet. She talks about some things. She’s good.” “I want you to pray for my daughter,” he added. “Don’t judge her, pray for her. She’s going to be singing Rise for the Olympics this year. We’re very proud of it and her.” It all sounds pretty bizarre.  At least we know that they like the new song more than her first big hit. “We certainly like it more than ‘I Kissed A Girl,'” he said of her new music. “When ‘I Kissed A Girl’ came out we thought about moving to Venezuela because of the shame.” Perry’s mom added: “We were going to save [former Venezuelan President who died in 2013] Hugo Chavez but it’s too late for that now.” Keith took things one step further and commented on his days in the 1960s, taking drugs.  “I looked like John the Baptist coming out of the woods but I wasn’t eating locusts, baby. My candy was LSD! I was taking it like candy.” Did anyone expect anything like this to come out? It came pretty much out of the left field.  Basically, they wanted to let us know that there was time they were ashamed of their daughter, but not now.  What do you think about it all? Kim Kardashian is going to drag Taylor Swift in an upcoming ‘KUWTK’ episode

I’m always worried that interesting, fun gossip is going to fall off a cliff when we get to the sultry summer months, but for several years now, we’ve had some great “summer stories.” This summer’s amazing Tiddlebanging is the big story, but I think we’re also going to get a lot of pap stroll photos of Kim Kardashian this summer because she’s lost all of her pregnancy weight and she wants people to look at her body. And that’s always fun, because Kim’s style just gets worse and worse. These are photos of Kim in Malibu with her BFF Jonathan Cheban yesterday. Kim’s ensemble is a DISASTER. And it was glorious. Kim wore a matchy cowgirl look from Peter Dundas at Roberto Cavalli. Kim-In-Cavalli is the new “Kim in Balmain.” And while I appreciate the fact that a curvy girl like Kim can wear some major designers, she never really looks good in those clothes, probably because those clothes were designed for tall, leggy, curveless women. What bugs me about this look is the WASH. The light acid-wash denim looks so, so bad. I can’t believe we ever thought that denim wash looked good. Meanwhile, it really does look like the #TaylorSwiftPartyIsOver, especially for the Kardashian-Wests. In an upcoming episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kim is going to talk about the Taylor Swift-“Famous” controversy. Kim tells her mother “I did an interview with GQ,” referencing this interview. Then Kim tells the camera: “I’ve had it with people blatantly treating my husband a certain way and making it look a certain way, and I’m going to say how I feel.” Kim Kardashian is coming for Taylor Swift next week on Keeping Up With The Kardashians. pic.twitter.com/hHQ7QPEEtp — Pop Crave (@PopCrave) July 13, 2016 Photos courtesy of Fame/Flynet.
