Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie comes out in the UK today, although Americans won’t get the movie until July 22. So Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley’s promotional tour, thus far, has just been in the UK, and they’ve just been talking to UK outlets for the most part. Saunders and Lumley contributed an “on-set diary” to the Telegraph which was published a few days ago, and people have been interpreting one passage, by Lumley, as “shade” directed at Benedict Cumberbatch. The film has a lot of A-list cameos, but they tried to get Bendy and he turned them down. Here’s that part of the diary: As well as working, I actually have to work. Mandie Fletcher, our director, is trying to lock down the casting of cameo roles between takes and sometimes I have to sit with her in a nice chair, eating a delicious Brie baguette, and throwing out names like ‘Benedict Cumberbatch’. Although Benedict Cumberbatch, it turns out, is busy for the next five and a half years. What is it with actors? We are offering tiny, tiny, tiny roles that will take up minuscule amounts of time and it’s, ‘Oh no, sorry, I’m busy doing films,’ or, ‘So sorry, I am going round the world with all my actor friends for the next two years,’ or a simple, ‘I’m dead.’ [From The Telegraph] I’m pretty sure AbFab filmed last summer and that Benedict would have been somewhat free to film for a day or two, especially if his cameo could have been shot in London. Meaning, he just didn’t want to appear in AbFab, which sucks. He’ll do a questionable cameo in Zoolander No. 2, but not AbFab? Saunders also told media outlets that contrary to tabloid reports, Kim Kardashian was never up for a cameo or anything: “I don’t know who put the rumor out but it was never a fact. It’s not like [Kim] was on the phone going, ‘But I want to be in it. I want to do it.’” Saunders also claimed that she had never, ever said that Kim was “too crass” to be in AbFab because “I don’t even know the word ‘crass.’ It’s not in my vocabulary.” It’s true – no one is “too crass” for the world of AbFab. The drama surrounding Kylie Jenner and Tyga continues to get crazier.  There’s no denying that Tyga is not someone who should be trusted. He has the WORST track record.  Now, with word of Tyga and Kylie rekindling their romance, there are fresh reports that Tyga is treating Kylie badly in order to keep her keen.  Okay then. We didn’t know THAT was still a thing, but this is Tyga.  “He’s a total control freak and totally working her into a jealous frenzy whenever he gets the chance,” an insider told Radar. “It’s how he’s always kept her hooked — by playing on her insecurities.” Kylie has every reason to have doubts about him. Does Taylor Swift even care about Kanye West’s gross ‘Famous’ video?

As we discussed on Sunday, Kanye West dropped his music video for “Famous” late Friday night. He premiered it like a movie, then streamed it on Tidal. You can see the very, very NSFW clip here. The video included wax-figures or look-alikes of everyone from Donald Trump to George W. Bush to Taylor Swift and Rihanna. It was and is a huge mess. But something funny happened after the video dropped… beyond internet commenters, no one really cared. Kanye even went on Twitter and begged people to sue him. But there’s barely been any reaction besides a lot of shrugs. It’s been more than 36 hours since Kanye West debuted his anticipated “Famous” music video and the rapper has so far been met with mostly silence from the celebs he included in the NSFW clip. He had premiered the clip Friday night at a massive fan event at the L.A. Forum, where he was joined by wife Kim Kardashian and other family members and friends. Both he and Kim are also featured nude in the video, lying in bed with naked people resembling former President George W. Bush, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour, Rihanna, her ex Chris Brown, Kim’s ex Ray J, Kanye’s ex Amber Rose, Kim’s mom’s ex Caitlyn Jenner, Bill Cosby and yes, Taylor Swift . As of Sunday morning, neither have most of the stars shown in the clip. Chris Brown, however, who doesn’t appear to be bothered by it. “Why I gotta have the plumbers butt / crack showing WAX figure?” he wrote on Instagram, adding a string of smiley faces. “This n—a KANYE CRAZY, talented, but crazy.” In addition, an aide for Bush told Us Weekly, “That’s not him.” Meanwhile, Kanye took to Twitter Saturday to post, “Can somebody sue me already #I’llwait.” He later deleted the tweet. [From E! News] Amber Rose didn’t even say anything! And while “sources” claim that Taylor Swift is beyond pissed about her “inclusion” in the video, she still hasn’t said anything about it, nor has she leaked any quotes to People, Us Weekly or E! News. The only site claiming to have some insight on what Taylor is thinking is Hollywood Life! So take it with a grain of salt: “Taylor is livid. Taylor is horrified [by the ‘Famous’ music video]. Taylor didn’t know what to do when she heard about what Kanye did. She is bewildered, feels betrayed and is beyond frustrated with Kanye. It is like a complete nightmare. Taylor is pissed to say the least!” [From Hollywood Life] While I imagine Taylor is horrified, along with the rest of the people included in Kanye’s art project, I do think it’s smart that no one is engaging Kanye. That’s what will hurt him more than any lawsuit or statement: ambivalence. Apathy. A shrug. When no one even cares enough to sue, that’s a problem on Kanye’s end. Last fall, Pippa Middleton and Nico Jackson finally ended their relationship after months of drama. He basically moved to Switzerland to get away from Pippa, but that still didn’t end the relationship. The relationship only ended when Pippa was seen having a “sleepover” at James Matthews’ house. Suddenly, Pippa and Nico were done and then Pippa and James Matthews were a thing. Their relationship was confirmed just days into the new year, with sources dishing that Pippa’s new boyfriend is “terribly rich” and very much into Pippa. And in 2016, we really haven’t seen that much of Pippa, lending credence to the idea that Prince William convinced Pippa to give up Pippa-Tipping and “writing” so she could focus on landing a husband who would financially support her. And now it might be happening! Per the Daily Mail’s “Diary” gossip girl: I’m loathe to spoil a surprise, but is Pippa Middleton’s boyfriend about to propose? Sources tell me that James Matthews is whisking her away to the Caribbean island of St Barts in September – where he might pop the question at his parents’ exclusive hotel, Eden Rock. A ‘save the date card’ is already circulating among close pals with the message: ‘Don’t Tell Pippa,’ while mum Carole is in on it, too. As Pippa’s brother James is now back with Donna Air, could it be a race to see who walks down the aisle first? [From The Daily Mail] To be fair, there were tons of these kinds of rumors about Pippa and Nico and her boyfriend before Nico too. It’s “the Middleton way” to publicly encourage Pippa’s boyfriends to propose by dropping hints to gossip columnists. The Middleton family did it with Kate and Prince William too, during The Waity Years. That being said, I do think Pippa has found The One. If we’re defining The One as “some guy who is terribly rich and well-connected.” Which is all she’s ever wanted! I’m hoping he does propose just so Pippa can change her storyline, you know? Beyonce & Kendrick Lamar opened the BET Awards with ‘Freedom’: amazing?

They paid tribute to Prince throughout the evening, with Jennifer Hudson singing “Purple Rain,” Sheila E delivering a speech about Prince and Janelle Monae doing her own amazing tribute too – go here to see. Beyond the Prince tributes, everyone’s talking about Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar opening the show with an extended version of Bey’s “Freedom.” That song is easily one of my favorites off of Lemonade, and Kendrick’s work on the track is GENIUS. Plus, it just feels like Beyonce and Kendrick are two artists at their absolute peak right now, and BET spent some serious money on the staging for this performance. It’s perfect. Anyway, here are some fashion photos from the event. Beyonce didn’t walk the carpet or anything, but the hostess did – here’ Tracee Ellis Ross in a vintage Thierry Mugler gown. The skirt is too tight and the wrong length! But otherwise, I do love her. Gabrielle Union wore Marc Jacobs. This was one of the best looks of the night. Alicia Keys wore a jumpsuit/onesie and no makeup. It’s the turban that made me go “hm?” though. I thought for a second that she had silver hair now. Karrueche Tran looked beautiful, right? Tony Robbins Fans Walk on Hot Coals, Unsurprisingly Get Burned

For years, motivational speaker Tony Robbins has made a killing by telling followers to "Unleash the Power Within," but they're really burned up over his teachings now. Like, literally. The author and self-help guru reportedly had fans walk over a blanket of hot coals during a seminar in Dallas, encouraging them to, ya know, conquer their fears. To the surprise of no sane individual, more than 30 participants were treated for burns to their feet and legs, with five requiring hospitalization. I'm certain there are far safer fear-conquering activities that could've worked just as well, but nothing brings out your inner carnie like hot coal-stepping. Amazingly, Robbins' people have defended the coal walk, claiming that more than 7,000 people performed the feat but only five had to be rushed to the hospital. Call me crazy, but I think that's five too many. "I know it might not look that way, but this was actually another successful fire walk," Robbins' head trainer Chad Schinke told reporters. "We had over 7,000 people that walked across the hot coals and we always have a few people that have some discomfort afterwards," he added. "Discomfort" he calls it. Dude. "We do our best to take care of them and ensure that they get whatever help that they feel like they need." "Help that they feel like they need?" This guy's a tool. Funnily enough, with every cult there are always folks drunk on Kool-Aid who refuse to fault the ringleader. "I'm just shocked, I'm out of words," said one participant. "I've never seen this in all of my events and I have to just say it has nothing to do with the training." "It has absolutely nothing to do with Tony Robbins," she added. YES IT DOES, LADY. Do we have to point out the obvious? It was his event, he suggested the ridiculous exercise and he surely knew of the dangers because even my frigging cat knows better than to do something so asinine. The god complex, people. It's a scary, scary thing.

Johnny Depp Flees LA, Gets Support From Daughter & Disney

Like the swaggering pirate he so memorably portrayed, Johnny Depp might be wondering where the rum is these days. The answer? In the Caribbean, of course. According to several sources, Depp has been riding out his divorce from Amber Heard at his private island in the Bahamas. “He has no plans to return to L.A.,” a source close to Depp tells People magazine. “He misses nothing about L.A. but his kids, and they are visiting him in the Bahamas.” We suppose there are worse places to be self-exiled. The magazine states that Depp is currently being visited by his 17-year-old daughter, Lily-Rose. His son 14-year-old son, Jack, is expected to arrive with his mother, Vanessa Paradis, sometime this week. “Having his kids around is always great for him. He has really missed his kids,” the insider adds. “He likes being surrounded by people and everyone is trying to cheer him up.”  As you’ve likely heard, Depp has been accused of assault by his estranged wife. Heard’s allegations have called into question the future of Depp’s career, but it seems the actor needn’t worry about his most lucrative properties. Disney – who, as the studio behind the Pirates of the Caribbean and the live-action Alice in Wonderland franchises is as responsible for Depp’s career renaissance as anyone – basically confirmed this week that it has no plans to cut ties with the actor, despite his recent legal troubles. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Disney CEO Bob Iger stated that he is “not worried” about Depp’s “personal problems.” Asked if he believes the current controversy will pass, Iger responded: “I don’t know whether it passes or not. We have Jack Sparrow.” Asked if he thinks people will separate the actor from his most famous character, Iger responded, “Right.” So it sounds like Depp can do no wrong in the eyes of those in his inner circle.
