When Rupert Murdoch married Wendi Deng in 1999, it was controversial. Murdoch was then a spry 68-year-old and Wendi was 31. At the time, it was his third marriage and her second. Deng has always been accused of trading in lovers and husbands for more money and power, and many side-eyed the fact that Deng had been the “homewrecker” two times in a row, breaking up her first husband’s marriage and then being the “other woman” in Murdoch’s second marriage. When the Deng-Murdoch marriage fell apart back in 2014, there were once again widespread rumors that Deng had already moved on to another more powerful lover, this time the very married Tony Blair. I don’t know what happened between Deng and Blair, but if it was ever something, it’s probably over now. Because Wendi Deng is reportedly dating… Vladimir Putin. How’s this for a new couple alert? The rumor circulating around the corridors of power — from Washington, D.C., to Europe and Asia — is that Vladimir Putin and Wendi Deng, Rupert Murdoch’s ex-wife, are dating. Reports of the pair have been floating around for years, ever since their respective divorces in 2014 and 2013. One insider close to the powerful leader tells Us Weekly the relationship is “serious.” The controversial Russian president, 63, was previously married to Lyudmila Putina for 30 years, with whom he shares daughters Maria, 30, and Yekaterina, 29. The Kremlin confirmed their divorce in April 2014. The politician rarely discusses his children, but during an annual news conference in December 2015, he boasted about his daughters to thousands of reporters, before shutting down more personal questions. “They studied only at Russian universities. I am proud of them. They continue to study and work. My daughters speak three European languages fluently. One of them can even speak one or two Oriental languages. They are making their first steps and are successful,” he told the crowd during the rare moment, before stating: “I never discuss questions related to my family. They are not involved in business or politics. They are not pushing for this.” Following Lyudmila and Putin’s split, the president was rumored to be dating Russian gymnast Alina Kabaeva. Putin was often featured in European gossip sites after Kabaeva stepped out in early 2015 looking “fuller,” igniting pregnancy rumors. Swiss newspaper Bild then reported that Putin had missed appearances because he had traveled to Switzerland to be by Kabaeva’s side, where she allegedly gave birth to their child at a Swiss hospital in March 2015. The Kremlin has repeatedly denied the rumors. Deng has yet to be spotted looking romantic with the Russian leader, but was seen boarding her pal Roman Abramovich’s yacht in St. Bart’s on Monday, March 28. Abramovich also happens to be friends with Putin. (According to the Daily Mail, the billionaire Chelsea Football Club owner reportedly gifted the president with a $35 million yacht in January.) [From Us Weekly] There’s no shadiness like Russian shadiness, my God. Putin received a “gift” of a $35 million yacht from Roman Abramovich? Yikes. And I still believe that Putin was dealing with that gymnast, Alina Kabaeva. In fact, that’s why the news surprised me so much – I was sure that if we ever heard anything else about Putin’s personal life, it was going to be that he married his young gymnast. As for the Deng-Putin power couple… I suspect they’ve both met their match. And it will either be perfect or it will be an utter disaster, nothing in between. Bar Refaeli is five months pregnant, but if it weren’t for the hashtag on her latest Instagram photo, there’s no way you would ever know that: The 30-year-old model and mom-to-be posted the above image with a caption reading, “My girl was craving some vitamin D #5months.” Refaeli is used to getting a lot of attention for her selfies, but usually for the simple reasons that she’s a model with a couple million followers. Now, she’s in a situation that brings to mind the predicament of fellow model Sarah Stage, whose taut baby bump photos earned her heaps of online criticism. Eventually, Stage gave birth to a perfectly healthy baby boy, so maybe the Internet will just chill this time and not attack Bar for putting her babies health at risk like they did with Sarah. Just kidding! It’s 2016; you really think people are gonna pass up the opportunity to get outraged? I dare you to find a mom who has just given birth in the past six months who isn’t a little fragile or self-conscious about losing her “baby weight.” So, it’s understandable that Kim Kardashian could possibly be fed up with the pressure she’s under to keep calm and act like she didn’t give birth in December. Sources close to the reality star tell Radar Online that she’s “overwhelmed” by the weight she’s tryin to lose, and her “hormones are all over the place.” The source also claimed that Kardashian is “in really bad shape and sometimes has to be dragged out of bed.  “She’ll burst into tears over nothing and then lash out and storm off to her bedroom, where she’ll stay for hours.” Kris Jenner has told Kanye West that Kardashian “could have some kind of post-natal depression,” which, according to postpartumprogress.org, affects 10-15% of women annually.  The source alleges that Kourtney Kardashian thinks her younger sister is “Just depressed over her body shape and insecure over Kylie stealing all the limelight these days.” Tough love, brought to you by Kourtney Kardashian. In this photo, imagine Pope Francis saying, “Talk to the hand, Dorito.” As you’ve probably seen the news coverage by now, you know that Pope Francis was on a multi-day trip to Mexico, where he said mass for tens of thousands of people, visited the border and fussed at some dirtbag who basically pulled him onto a dude in a wheelchair. As the Pope was concluding his Mexico trip, he did a press conference for the media outlets trailing him. He was asked about the Church’s stance on birth control, given the outbreak of the Zika virus and the medical recommendations that men wear condoms to avoid infecting their partners. Francis was basically like “I can’t technically tell people that it’s fine to wear condoms, but it’s not really all that sinful in this particular case.” Which, hey, is a good first step. Then Francis got a question about Donald Trump. And the Pope did not hold back. Inserting himself into the Republican presidential race, Pope Francis on Wednesday suggested that Donald J. Trump “is not Christian” because of the harshness of his campaign promises to deport more immigrants and force Mexico to pay for a wall along the border. “A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not building bridges, is not Christian,” Francis said when a reporter asked him about Mr. Trump on the papal airliner as he returned to Rome after his six-day visit to Mexico. Mr. Trump has staked out controversial positions on immigration, vowing to force Mexico to build a wall and also increase deportations. He has also made inflammatory comments accusing Mexican immigrants of being rapists and criminals. Asked whether he would try to influence Catholics in how they vote in the presidential election, Francis said he “was not going to get involved in that” but then repeated his criticism of Mr. Trump, with a caveat. “I say only that this man is not Christian if he has said things like that,” Francis said. “We must see if he said things in that way and in this I give the benefit of the doubt.” [From The NYT] Sure. And guess who has orange skin, a bouffant wiglet, no self-control and two thumbs? THIS GUY. So of course Donald Trump had to respond. Trump told a crowd in South Carolina that ISIS’s “primary goal is to get to the Vatican. That would be their ultimate trophy.” Is it though? And: “If and when the Vatican is attacked… the pope would only wish and have prayed that Donald Trump would have been elected president. Because this would not have happened.” Will Francis really be praying for that specifically? Trump also said: “No leader, especially a religious leader, should have the right to question another man’s religion or faith. They are using the Pope as a pawn and they should be ashamed of themselves for doing so, especially when so many lives are involved and when illegal immigration is so rampant.” [From Jezebel] Yeah. So Donald Trump and Pope Francis are boy-beefing. How does that make you feel? For what it’s worth, I don’t think Francis was really questioning Trump’s faith as much as Francis was making a larger plea for understanding and compassion for immigrants. But whatever. That’s his cut-off age, and you could feel his pain at dating Kelly Rohrbach after her 25th birthday. He knew he would have to end it. So, Leo has been single for this Oscar season. He’s reportedly been enjoying the bachelor lifestyle quite a lot over the past few months, allegedly bringing four ladies back to his London hotel room last month, possibly “hanging out” with Rihanna in Paris, and more. So when Leo was back in London this weekend for the BAFTAs, he had his choice of blondes and models and blonde models. He apparently chose Irish celebrity/presenter Laura Whitmore. SHE IS 30 YEARS OLD! GASP! Leonardo DiCaprio took ITV presenter Laura Whitmore back to his hotel suite after a wild night celebrating his Bafta win. The 41-year-old, who won for his role in The Revenant, plucked the I’m A Celebrity presenter out of a group of women vying for his attention at an after-party at London’s Rosewood Hotel. An onlooker said: “Leonardo was completely taken by Laura. She was playing it cool but he made a beeline for her and they instantly started flirting. She loved the attention and they were all over each other, getting on like a house on fire. Leo made it clear he wanted her to come back upstairs to his suite at the hotel to continue the party afterwards.” Irish Laura, 30, followed the superstar to his suite with a close group of pals at 3.30am where the party continued. A partygoer revealed: “He was all over Laura until after 5am. At one point he held her face in his hand.” Also vying for Leo’s attention was British model Lily Donaldson, 29. A party source added: “Leo was all over Lily too.” [From The Sun] I’m just like Leo – I get hot for the Irish accent too. So while Laura just looks like a typical pretty blonde lady to me, the Irish accent probably gives her an edge. An edge that makes her age forgettable, at least for a night. Actually, I think Leo only cares about the 25-year-old cutoff when it comes to OFFICIAL girlfriends, like bike riding companions and such.
