Everyone has something to say about it, especially Taylor Swift’s best friend. Selena Gomez posted a few tweets in response to Kim Kardashian’s decision to release audio between Swift and Kanye West regarding “Famous” lyrics. “There are more important things to talk about…” she tweeted. “Why can’t people use their voice for something that fucking matters?” “Truth is last thing we need right now is [sic] hate, in any form,” she added. “This industry is so disappointing yet the most influential smh” According to the Daily Mirror, a fan asked Gomez why she wasn’t using the hashtag, #blacklivesmatter. “oh lol so that means if I hashtag something I save lives?” she responded. “No -I could give two f***s about ‘sides’. You don’t know what I do.” The audio reveals West running controversial lyrics about Swift by the singer herself. “I mean it’s like a compliment,” West says over the phone. And I really appreciate you telling me about it, that’s really nice!” “I’m really glad you had the respect to call me that and tell me that as a friend, about the song.” After the audio was released, Swift released response via Instagram stating that West left out the lyric, “I made that bitch famous.” “Where is the video of Kanye telling me he was going to call me ‘that bitch’ in his song?” Swift asked. “It doesn’t exist because it never happened. You don’t get to control someone’s emotional response to being called ‘that bitch’ in front of the entire world. I’m always worried that interesting, fun gossip is going to fall off a cliff when we get to the sultry summer months, but for several years now, we’ve had some great “summer stories.” This summer’s amazing Tiddlebanging is the big story, but I think we’re also going to get a lot of pap stroll photos of Kim Kardashian this summer because she’s lost all of her pregnancy weight and she wants people to look at her body. And that’s always fun, because Kim’s style just gets worse and worse. These are photos of Kim in Malibu with her BFF Jonathan Cheban yesterday. Kim’s ensemble is a DISASTER. And it was glorious. Kim wore a matchy cowgirl look from Peter Dundas at Roberto Cavalli. Kim-In-Cavalli is the new “Kim in Balmain.” And while I appreciate the fact that a curvy girl like Kim can wear some major designers, she never really looks good in those clothes, probably because those clothes were designed for tall, leggy, curveless women. What bugs me about this look is the WASH. The light acid-wash denim looks so, so bad. I can’t believe we ever thought that denim wash looked good. Meanwhile, it really does look like the #TaylorSwiftPartyIsOver, especially for the Kardashian-Wests. In an upcoming episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kim is going to talk about the Taylor Swift-“Famous” controversy. Kim tells her mother “I did an interview with GQ,” referencing this interview. Here is Khloe Kardashian’s cover editorial for Glamour Mexico, the July issue. Can’t say I’m a big fan on the dark lipstick on Khloe – it emphasizes the extent to which she’s jacked her lips. Khloe has said that this cover shoot reminded her that she wants to take out her extensions and have short hair again, which I think she should do – I really loved her lob from late last year, and I thought it was super-flattering on her. Meanwhile, Khloe went off on a long-winded tirade about the tabloid interest in her love life, which…yeah, not so much. I have some residual affection for Khloe because I think she’s “the smart one” out of her family, but this essay (on her subscription app) was just dumb. She loves it when we’re paying attention to her love life. She loves it when we’re paying attention to her in any way. “The most annoying thing about tabloid rumors is the double standard. If I’m ‘spotted’ hanging with a guy at a party – even if I’m just saying hi for a quick second – it immediately becomes a negative headline about how many guys I’m dating or how I’m getting into a new relationship. Men don’t get that reputation! They get a pat on the back. It irritates me.” “People have taken pictures of me and say they’re proof of something concrete. Pictures are just moments in time. They never show the whole truth. In Hollywood, you could go out on a first date and it could spiral into this huge thing. The headline the next day is ‘Khloé’s Getting Married!’ LOL. It’s so weird. That stuff definitely makes it difficult to take it slow and see how things go.” “I normally don’t comment on those stories, but if it gets out of control, I’ll speak up – especially because that kind of gossip affects how people see me. Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie comes out in the UK today, although Americans won’t get the movie until July 22. So Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley’s promotional tour, thus far, has just been in the UK, and they’ve just been talking to UK outlets for the most part. Saunders and Lumley contributed an “on-set diary” to the Telegraph which was published a few days ago, and people have been interpreting one passage, by Lumley, as “shade” directed at Benedict Cumberbatch. The film has a lot of A-list cameos, but they tried to get Bendy and he turned them down. Here’s that part of the diary: As well as working, I actually have to work. Mandie Fletcher, our director, is trying to lock down the casting of cameo roles between takes and sometimes I have to sit with her in a nice chair, eating a delicious Brie baguette, and throwing out names like ‘Benedict Cumberbatch’. Although Benedict Cumberbatch, it turns out, is busy for the next five and a half years. What is it with actors? We are offering tiny, tiny, tiny roles that will take up minuscule amounts of time and it’s, ‘Oh no, sorry, I’m busy doing films,’ or, ‘So sorry, I am going round the world with all my actor friends for the next two years,’ or a simple, ‘I’m dead.’ [From The Telegraph] I’m pretty sure AbFab filmed last summer and that Benedict would have been somewhat free to film for a day or two, especially if his cameo could have been shot in London. Meaning, he just didn’t want to appear in AbFab, which sucks. He’ll do a questionable cameo in Zoolander No. 2, but not AbFab? Saunders also told media outlets that contrary to tabloid reports, Kim Kardashian was never up for a cameo or anything: “I don’t know who put the rumor out but it was never a fact. It’s not like [Kim] was on the phone going, ‘But I want to be in it. I want to do it.’” Saunders also claimed that she had never, ever said that Kim was “too crass” to be in AbFab because “I don’t even know the word ‘crass.’ It’s not in my vocabulary.” It’s true – no one is “too crass” for the world of AbFab. Does Taylor Swift even care about Kanye West’s gross ‘Famous’ video?

As we discussed on Sunday, Kanye West dropped his music video for “Famous” late Friday night. He premiered it like a movie, then streamed it on Tidal. You can see the very, very NSFW clip here. The video included wax-figures or look-alikes of everyone from Donald Trump to George W. Bush to Taylor Swift and Rihanna. It was and is a huge mess. But something funny happened after the video dropped… beyond internet commenters, no one really cared. Kanye even went on Twitter and begged people to sue him. But there’s barely been any reaction besides a lot of shrugs. It’s been more than 36 hours since Kanye West debuted his anticipated “Famous” music video and the rapper has so far been met with mostly silence from the celebs he included in the NSFW clip. He had premiered the clip Friday night at a massive fan event at the L.A. Forum, where he was joined by wife Kim Kardashian and other family members and friends. Both he and Kim are also featured nude in the video, lying in bed with naked people resembling former President George W. Bush, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour, Rihanna, her ex Chris Brown, Kim’s ex Ray J, Kanye’s ex Amber Rose, Kim’s mom’s ex Caitlyn Jenner, Bill Cosby and yes, Taylor Swift . As of Sunday morning, neither have most of the stars shown in the clip. Chris Brown, however, who doesn’t appear to be bothered by it. “Why I gotta have the plumbers butt / crack showing WAX figure?” he wrote on Instagram, adding a string of smiley faces. “This n—a KANYE CRAZY, talented, but crazy.” In addition, an aide for Bush told Us Weekly, “That’s not him.” Meanwhile, Kanye took to Twitter Saturday to post, “Can somebody sue me already #I’llwait.” He later deleted the tweet. [From E! News] Amber Rose didn’t even say anything! And while “sources” claim that Taylor Swift is beyond pissed about her “inclusion” in the video, she still hasn’t said anything about it, nor has she leaked any quotes to People, Us Weekly or E! News. The only site claiming to have some insight on what Taylor is thinking is Hollywood Life! So take it with a grain of salt: “Taylor is livid. Taylor is horrified [by the ‘Famous’ music video]. Taylor didn’t know what to do when she heard about what Kanye did. She is bewildered, feels betrayed and is beyond frustrated with Kanye. It is like a complete nightmare. Taylor is pissed to say the least!” [From Hollywood Life] While I imagine Taylor is horrified, along with the rest of the people included in Kanye’s art project, I do think it’s smart that no one is engaging Kanye. That’s what will hurt him more than any lawsuit or statement: ambivalence. Apathy. A shrug. When no one even cares enough to sue, that’s a problem on Kanye’s end.
