Kim Kardashian’s diet excludes sugar, sweets, cakes, crackers & white rice

Here are some photos of Kim Kardashian out and about on Friday in LA. This feels like the first time we’ve seen her in months without a long, butt-covering jacket or coat. That’s probably because she’s now lost so much of the pregnancy weight that she’s not afraid of photographers getting a few butt shots. While I respect her choice to not give the paps butt shots when she’s uncomfortable with her body, she’s got to know that she’s just driving up the price, right? Anyway, as Kim told us last week, she’s lost 42 pounds of the 70-pound weight loss goal she set for herself post-pregnancy. I think she looks good, as-is. Meaning, she looks comfortable at this weight and this is pretty much how she looked when she got pregnant with Saint West. But she still wants to lose more weight, and her nutritionist spoke to Glamour about Kim’s diet: Kim’s nutritionist, Colette Heimowitz, VP of nutrition and education at Atkins Nutritionals, chatted up Redbook and spilled. Kim, who’s losing about two pounds a week, is sticking to 1,800 calories a day—just right for a breastfeeding mama—says Heimowitz, and she chooses those calories carefully: Every meal includes protein, which she pairs with high-fiber foods (we love barley!) and healthy fats (olive oil, avocados). What she’s not eating: “Sugar, sweets, cakes, crackers, white flour, white rice.” One thing she’s not giving up? Cheese—just a little bit. Heimowitz told Redbook that Kim’s daily diet breaks down to: “four to six ounces of protein, four ounces of cheese, eight to 10 servings of veggies, and two tablespoons of added fat.” (“Added” fat doesn’t include the fat that’s already in the protein and cheese.) “The secret is [to] pick high-fiber carbohydrates that slow the release of sugar into the bloodstream,” Heimowitz told the mag. “[So] instead of white rice you have a little brown rice. Instead of a white potato you could have a yam. And [when you want] dessert, you can make one with Splenda instead of sugar.” [From Glamour] Atkins diets are always high in protein, as I think everyone knows by now, so it’s not a surprise that Kim includes protein in every meal. I feel like this cheese-specific diet was tailored for her though, which one would expect if one has an on-call nutritionist. Personally, I would rather give up cheese (gladly) for a baked potato every now and then. Besides that, I don’t really believe Kim has given up sugar, sweets, cakes, crackers, white flour and white rice. I think that’s what her nutritionist has told her to give up and Kim sneaks some cracked or a cupcake every so often. Like at a baby shower she hosted for Chrissy Teigen? Apparently, the baby shower food involved McDonalds and nachos. ❤️ A photo posted by chrissy teigen (@chrissyteigen) on Mar 26, 2016 at 5:53pm PDT Photos courtesy of Fame/Flynet.

Ingrid Seward: William & Kate are ‘a rich, increasingly spoiled couple’

Ingrid Seward is a prominent royal writer, biographer and editor in the UK. She’s often called in by American publications to explain royal traditions or provide sugary quotes about the greatness of the Queen, the Prince of Wales or the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Like, People Magazine interviews her all the time and often throws in some of her quotes in pieces about the Cambridges. She’s known as a more conservative and pro-monarchy royal writer. So this is sort of amazing – Ingrid Seward wrote a column in the Mail on Sunday about the Cambridges’ janky media strategy and just what a boneheaded idea it was for Kate to skip out on the Irish Guards on St. Patrick’s Day. If even Seward feels bold enough to issue a public smackdown, you know there are issues. You can read the full piece here. Some highlights: Missing out on the Irish Guards ceremony on St. Patrick’s Day: “So unthinking were her advisers in Kensington Palace that when a row about her absence erupted they replied that she’d simply gone home to Norfolk to be with her children. For Kate to miss an opportunity to honour the Armed Forces with such a lame excuse shows a distinct lack of understanding. If she wants to be thought of as a modern princess who will go the extra mile for the brave soldiers she represents through her charities, she should have been there at their new barracks at Hounslow, not at home in Anmer Hall. It somehow made the covenant between Royals and the military look as if it didn’t matter.” Seward blames bad advisors: “The Duchess’s advisers should have stopped to think how pitiful an excuse it looked to soldiers who have been divided from their families for months on operational tours since British Forces became engaged in the War on Terror in 2003. But they clearly did not. Sadly, for William and Kate, who could do no wrong at the time of their marriage in April 2011, it’s another unnecessary mistake.” William gets slammed too: “Last month the Duke failed to show up at the Baftas for the second year running. He is the Academy’s president, so it’s as if the cream of British cinema and a clutch of Hollywood A-listers had been stood up by their host. Again….Prince William said recently that the growing criticism of himself and his wife ‘came with the territory’. But it doesn’t have to. If he did not appear to be chafing quite so much at his Royal responsibilities and was more accepting of the affection on offer from the millions who will one day be his subjects, he could be forgiven a lot.” Instead of being friendly to British media, William is courting foreign media: “Prince William seems to be impervious to this idea. Instead he has begun to groom foreign media who give him the same platitudinous message that they give various celebrities. While holding the British press at arm’s length, the younger members of the Royal Family are giving cuddly, banal interviews to favoured publications and American TV networks.” Surrounded by privilege: “When William and Kate first married they insisted they didn’t want to be hidden in the ivory tower of royalty. They wanted to be with the people doing what they did, not surrounded by riches and privilege. Now they are doing just that. Of course they will one day be anointed King and Queen, and they will need their people behind them. Courting favour overseas won’t work and nor will ignoring public opinion at home.” The spoiled couple: “They may have been thrilled by their own cleverness at having a secret four-day ski break in Courchevel earlier this month but where they see an entitlement to privacy, the public see a rich, increasingly spoiled couple growing surprisingly distant.” [From The Daily Mail] The rest of Seward’s piece is a comparison of the Cambridges to the older royals, with Seward even saying that the Duchess of Cornwall understands the royal role so much better than William and Kate. Charles gets compliments as well for always putting duty first, for working so hard, etc. As I said, if someone like Seward is throwing down some heavy criticism of William and Kate, you know it’s bad. You know what I’m starting to wonder? I’m quietly developing a theory that all of this criticism might work in William’s favor in one particular way – he’ll use this as an excuse to quit his part-time EAAA job, which clearly already bores him to tears. He’ll say he has to quit the EAAA because something something criticism and his royal role. Then he’ll be on to a new scheme to avoid royal work. Oh, and the Sunday Express ran an interesting piece about Kate skipping out on the Irish Guards too – go here to read. Apparently, Kensington Palace is now claiming that they informed the Irish Guards “months” ago that Kate would not be handing out shamrocks this year. And somehow she knew months ago that she would need that day to prioritize her children? It’s a weird explanation. Photos courtesy of Fame/Flynet and WENN.

Bristol Palin: Read Her Heartbreaking Texts to Ex Dakota Meyer

They called off their wedding in 2015, roughly six months before their daughter, Sailor was born in December. Now, Dakota Meyer is fighting for a custody agreement with Bristol Palin that will allow him to see his daughter more frequently. Daily Mail obtained text messages (published for court records) between Palin and Meyer, who served in the Marines, in which the Alaska native wanted her ex to see Sailor more regularly. “I want you to be a part of her life, from the bottom of my heart I do,” Palin wrote. “There’s nothing on my end holding you back Dakota.  I want you (and your family) to be in her life as much as possible. It’s not about us, and I don’t care if you hate me, put it aside and put her first.” “I don’t hate you Bristol,” Meyer responded.  “I have no reason too [sic] but my hands are tied when I legally have no right to a child that is mine.” Meyer, who had to undergo a paternity test when he filed for joint custody and child support, is trying to move things along so that he can see his daughter. His visitations, however, are limited since Palin is breastfeeding the infant, and the court rules in the mother’s favor since it’s in Sailor’s best interest. “Yea i don’t want to miss anything either and being busy will never be what keeps me from seeing Sailor,” Meyer wrote to her in another exchange.   “Hopefully everything gets worked out soon and I can be in her life.” Meyer will see his daughter for the first time on March 19th, according to court records.

Kim Kardashian & Kanye had a huge fight over Saint West’s first photo

Here are some photos of Kim Kardashian leaving Epione, a cosmetic dermatology place. It seems like the only photos we get of Kim in LA these days are as she’s coming or going from her many dermatologists’ offices. What’s she getting done? Laser treatements? Botox? Lip fillers? Who knows? Anyway, since the Oscar blitz happened, we haven’t checked in with Kim in nearly a week. So here are some stories happening around her: Kim is being sued. Remember that car accident she had in 2014? No, I don’t remember it either. Apparently, she back-ended some guy on Sunset Blvd and now the guy is suing her, claiming that he suffered physical injuries, etc. TMZ says that at the time, the accident was so minor that both Kim and this guy got of their cars and hugged after they exchanged information. Fights with Kanye over Saint West’s first photos. Kim released the first image of Saint West on her subscription app, and sources told Britain’s Heat Magazine that Kim and Kanye had huge fights about it. A source claims: “Kanye considered himself the ‘creative director’ of the shoot, and wanted to get the perfect shot of Saint. He wanted him to wear designer clothes he’d had specially commissioned, but Kim kept saying it was ‘stupid’ and ‘inappropriate’ and that she wanted something uncontroversial and simple, which showed the world that Saint is a gorgeous little baby.” At one point, Mario Testino might have been called in to photograph Saint. Kim’s private screening. Apparently, Sacha Baron Cohen came over and gave the whole Kardashian-West clan a screening of The Brothers Grimsby. Tom Hiddleston will pee on you in a heartbeat if you get stung by a jellyfish

Embed from Getty Images Tom Hollander is best known – by me – for playing Mr. Collins in the Keira Knightley version of Pride & Prejudice. He also has a part in The Night Manager, starring Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie. They filmed TNM all over Europe and the Middle East, and the cast seemed to have a rare day off while they were filming in Mallorca. So they all went swimming together. And Hollander got stung by some jellyfish. And that’s when the story gets really interesting. You see, Tom Hiddleston is a good friend. He will pee on you in a heartbeat, that’s how lovely he is. Speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show, Tom Hollander – who also appears in ITV drama Doctor Thorne – said the incident happened in Mallorca while the whole cast were hanging out. He recalled: “Here I was sitting by the seaside with Hugh Laurie who is one of the most entertaining people you’ll ever meet in your life and Olivia Colman, Tom Hiddleston, Elizabeth Debicki… “The jellyfish incident was a sad tale because otherwise it was paradise until we went swimming and I, because I’m a gentlemen, lent Elizabeth Debicki my goggles which I’d brought to Mallorca because I knew about the jellyfish problem but she didn’t have any so she wore them and I swam into all the jellyfish. And I don’t know if you’ve ever been stung but it’s really, really painful. Guess who peed on me? Tom Hiddleston, he saw this, he is heroic and sort of Bond like. He’s officer class, he’s someone you want to stand next to as you go over the top in the First World War. Out of the corner of my eye someone with sharp strokes cutting through the water, Hiddleston had seen I was in trouble, he came out to me, I was standing on a rock submerged in just a few feet of water and he said, ‘It’s alright. Stand back, I know what to do’. And he said, ‘Where is it?’ I said ‘It’s all warm now.’ Tom had done what he needed to do which was to p**s all over me. And I’m sorry to say, it doesn’t actually work.” [From The Express] I’ve always thought that the urine-on-a-jellyfish-sting was true, but I looked it up and apparently there’s no scientific basis for it. In fact, urinating on a jellyfish sting can actually make the sting/pain worse. Which I didn’t know before now. Hiddles didn’t know either, which is why he peed on a friend. Poor Hollander! Not only did he get stung by a jellyfish, he’s now going to be stalked by Dragonflies because he’s been marked/sprayed by Lord Dragonfly. Photos courtesy of Getty, WENN and Fame/Flynet.

Caitlyn Jenner Releases Own Brand of Lipstick… For a Good Cause!

Move over, Kylie Jenner. You are no longer the only member of your family with her very own lip-related product. Caitlyn Jenner has reined with MAC cosmetics to create a lipstick that celebrates her transition. It is titled “Finally Free” and the I Am Cait star is posing in the first print ad for the product above. As you can see here, the 65-year old transgender icon is donning a tight, gold dress while lying back and letting stylists make a few adjustments to her hair and her ensemble. But this is what you really need to know about the rosy lipstick: ALL proceeds will benefit the MAC AIDS Fund Transgender Initiative. “MAC was the first to come to me [after my transition], and a company, I realized, would really make a big commitment,” Jenner said in an interview with MAC Culture. “I knew the VIVA GLAM campaigns; I saw that the proceeds were going, in those cases, mainly to AIDS and HIV causes, and I was wondering if they were interested in doing something specifically geared toward trans issues, because we need funding.” The lipstick retails for $17 per package. “MAC is a global company,” Caitlyn adds. “It’s in places around the world where not just trans issues but women’s issues are a major subject that you have to talk about.” View Slideshow: Caitlyn Jenner Photos: So Long, Bruce! What a Year! The MAC Finally Free lipstick, whose shade and name Jenner helped select, will be available exclusively online starting April 7. ‘My ultimate fantasy – I never thought in a million years that it would ever happen – was to get involved with a makeup company,” Caitlyn says. “When you’re going through all of this, that’s just, like, never going to happen, but wouldn’t it be something to be involved in a project like that? Boy, watch out what you wish for, because it came true.”

Alicia Silverstone in Christian Siriano at Women in Film: lovely or weird?

These are more photos from the Women in Film event (Kaiser covered the other attendees here), which was held last night in LA. They were calling for diversity in film and wage equality for women, as they do annually at this event. It was hosted by the Women in Film president, producer Cathy Schulman (Crash.) I’ll just be covering some of the more questionably dressed women. First off is Alicia Silverstone, who is 39 years old but somehow manages to look 20-something. This scoop neck spaghetti strap bronze metallic Christian Siriano dress is making her look much younger too. This is a very young-looking dress, I think it’s the simple empire cut, but her styling is perfection. Here’s Kate Walsh in a simple v-neck black dress that somehow manages to look like a power suit. That dress is cool, I would wear that, and I like the skinny belt but she paired it with fishnet stockings and high boots. When you look at her makeup though – what was she thinking? She’s got like bright purple eyeshadow on both her lids and under her eyes with thick heavy eyeliner, too much mascara and pink lips. If a makeup artist did this to me I would wipe it off and redo it myself. She looked much better the day before at the Cadillac pre-Oscar party in a contemporary wrap dress. Patricia Arquette was in a plain black and white combo with a white blouse under a half sleeve jacket with a tea length skirt. This look is just too boxy for my taste. She would look better with a fitted jacket and some tailoring. Lake Bell was in a very bizarre fishnet shirt with a bandeau bra underneath for modesty. She has on skintight pinstripe pants with too long split cuffs. This entire outfit looks like a reject from Project Runway. (Credit: my mom.) She does get points for pairing it with shoes that mimic the pattern in her top and carrying a practical purse. I always carry a big purse for all the crap I need to have with me at all times.
