Kate Hudson was seen leaving the Met Gala in May with Diplo (above), whom you might remember as Katy Perry’s ex and the guy who saw through Taylor Swift’s BS before it was as transparent as it is now. (After reviewing some stories about his beef with Taylor, he seems rather prescient about her.) Kaiser reminds me that Diplo is also a highly successful producer and DJ and that she would still hate bang him. So would Kate Hudson, apparently, because these two are said to have hooked up some time last week in Ibiza. Kate Hudson has found her boy of summer: Diplo. “They are dating,” a source reveals a source reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly. The actress and the DJ, both 37, who exited NYC’s Met Gala together in May, connected in mid-July near Ibiza, Spain, the insider says. She was vacationing with girlfriends; he had a day off after playing nearby at club Pacha. (His rep denies the romance.) She documented her travels and raved about her trip via Instagram. “What a blast,” the Marshall star posted July 18. “Til next time, Ibiza!” Before the getaway, she reunited with her ex fiancé, Muse frontman Matt Bellamy, to celebrate their son Bingham’s fifth birthday by jetting to London July 9 to see the new Harry Potter play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. (The Glee alum also shares 12-year-old son Ryder with her ex-husband, Chris Robinson.) [From US Magazine] Good for her. It looks like a casual hookup and that seems like the type of relationship Kate prefers. Also she like musicians, her last thing was with Nick Jonas and of course she has son Bing with Muse’s Matt Bellamy and was married to The Black Crowes’s Chris Robinson. (To my friend J who insisted last week that DJs/producers are not musicians, you are WRONG. I didn’t tell you to your face but I will do so in this passive aggressive way now.) I would kind of love it if Kate and Diplo became a power couple and started a PR feud with Taylor and Tom. That’s not going to happen, but it would be like Gossip Christmas and Gossip New Year’s put together. Also, do you remember how Cher tweeted earlier this week that Kate Hudson’s clothing subscription service, Fabletics, seemed like a scam? Well Life & Style has a new story about how Kate is mad at her mom, Goldie Hawn, for buying clothing from a competitor. They quote a source who says that Goldie “recently went into Exhale, a spa in NYC, and bought loads of great Victoria Keen yoga pants and spawear.” Kate was said to be “furious… [she] obviously wants her mom to be wearing her Fabletics line.” Goldie has Instagrammed photos where she’s wearing Fabletics but she said Kate sent them to her. The big Star Trek Beyond premiere was last night to kick off the San Diego Comic Con. Most of the men and women treated the premiere like it was a really big deal, and they wore proper suits and gowns and couture. But not Forever Bae Idris Elba! If Idris is going to a San Diego premiere, he’s going to wear shorts and light blouse. Because he’s Idris Elba, damn it, and he can wear whatever he wants and still be the hottest guy on the carpet. I’m also including photos of Chris Pine’s questionable new facial hair, plus Karl Urban and John Cho. As for Idris, he’s been hitting the promotional trail pretty hard. It’s sad that he keeps getting questions about James Bond, but he has to realize at this point that he’s not getting the questions because people are truly curious. He’s getting the questions because EVERYONE thinks he would be an incredible Bond, and no one can understand why the decision hasn’t already been made. 2016 Emmy nominations: who got recognized & who got snubbed?

As previewed yesterday, the 2016 Emmy nominations were finally announced this morning in LA. It feels like people were especially excited about this year’s nominations, likely because there’s always the hope that the Emmy voters might begin to phase in some new shows and new people. And it seems like every year, we’re disappointed with the same old people and same old shows. Is it the same this year? I was really worried that Game of Thrones got snubbed in all of the acting categories, but NO! GoT actors flooded the supporting categories which… I agree with that. Dinklage didn’t need another nomination, but he is one of the best actors on the series, so be it. I LOVE that Kit Harington got nominated (SadFace might even win!), and I love that Maisie Williams, Lena Headey and yes, even Emilia Clarke got recognized. I know many of you will love that The Americans finally got some major love, as did Mr. Robot and Master of None. I’m not shocked that Downton Abbey got some noms (even though the last season was all over the place), and I’m not shocked that The Night Manager got some love too – it was a really well-done miniseries. Did Jennifer Aniston’s late mother Nancy Dow cut Jen out of her will?

Jennifer Aniston’s mother Nancy Dow passed away back in May. I actually covered it at the time because Nancy Dow was an actress at one point, and because Aniston and her mom had a very public falling out back in the 1990s. Aniston would occasionally reference her mother in interviews, giving updates about the state of their relationship. From what I remember of Aniston’s interviews over the years, she let Nancy back into her life circa 2005, but there were still significant rifts between mother and daughter. Still, Aniston apparently paid her mom’s bills, especially after Nancy’s health declined over the past five years especially. And after all of that… Nancy Dow didn’t leave her daughter anything in her will, apparently. Not only that, Nancy left her “private writings” about Jennifer to someone else, someone who will likely sell the material. In its latest issue on newsstands now, an insider tells In Touch magazine that Jennifer Aniston’s late mom Nancy Dow, bequeathed her home, all of her money and other personal items — including scores of personal writings about Jen — to another relative. Nancy, who died at 79, “changed her will about a year ago, and no one in the family knew a thing about it,” the insider tells In Touch exclusively. “Even though Jen and Nancy had a very strained relationship, Jen still paid almost all of Nancy’s bills in her final years,” says the insider. Jen famously stopped talking to Nancy in 1996 after she gave an interview about her daughter to the tabloid TV show Hard Copy. Three years later, the rift widened after Nancy wrote — against Jen’s wishes — about their painful falling-out in the tell-all From Mother and Daughter to Friends: A Memoir. Instead of paying Jen back after her death, “Nancy left the relative her condo and more than a million dollars that she’d saved. She was a penny-pincher, and the alimony she received from Jen’s dad, John [Aniston], was pretty much never touched.” Even worse, Nancy left all of her private writings to the relative. “Nancy wrote down everything about Jen, and that material is now in the hands of someone who could profit from it,” the insider tells In Touch. [From In Touch Weekly] If this is true – and I think it’s probably true – this should answer all of your questions about Jennifer and Nancy’s estrangement. Even in death, Nancy Dow was trying to stick it to her daughter. It’s so nasty, passive-aggressive and ridiculous, it’s almost funny in a very dark and f—ked up way. I mean, Aniston doesn’t need her mother’s money or her estate, but if Aniston was paying her mother’s bills (which I also think is true), then this is just one final screw-you from mother to daughter. Rami Malek: It’s harder to talk to new people in LA than it is in New York

I really do listen when you guys request more coverage (or to start covering) new or interesting dudes. I’m still looking for an excuse to write more about Matthias Schoenaerts, who is my latest major crush (and who never gets pap’d). I’d also love to write about Aidan Turner or James Norton, but honestly, we rarely get photos of those guys and there are never any stories about them. Seriously! We’ve had requests for MOAR Rami Malek, and more general love for Mr. Robot over the past year. The first season of Mr. Robot was dark and weird and disturbing, and many believe the show is one of the most interesting things on TV these days, and that Rami Malek, the star, is the Next Big Thing. One of Rami’s biggest fans is Robert Downey Jr. RDJ has name-checked Rami in a few interviews, and RDJ also cited Mr. Robot as one of his favorite TV shows. So guess who interviewed Rami for Interview Magazine? RDJ, of course! Mr. Robot Season 2 just started last night, that’s why Rami is chatting. You can read the full piece here. While it’s a nice read, there’s not a lot of noteworthy stuff here. Malek seems like a nice guy, but he also seems to be living the job, or he just plays his personal life very close to the vest. Some highlights: On RDJ visiting the set of Mr. Robot: “That was amazing. You turned me into a hero when you came to set. I’m not kidding. They were like, “You know him?” “How do you know him?” I knew it was very cool to know you, but the world started paying me more attention on that day on set. Maybe I elaborated on our relationship too much and started fantasizing it was more than it actually was. No, I just told them how close we were and that we hang out, we celebrate holidays together, we watch movies together, all of which is true!” He’s an honorary New Yorker now: “I’ve always felt like I belong there. Growing up [in L.A.] and having a family here was something that I, of course, adored because I was surrounded with that unit. But from the first time I went over there, I felt connected to the way things move, the pace, the ability to strike up a conversation with anybody. I know that people often say it’s hard to talk to people in New York. I think it’s harder sometimes in L.A. But I like the neighborhood vibe, I like getting on the train and going anywhere with that type of speed, having everything at my disposal. The culture, the pace, all of it. I like feeling like I’m in that concrete jungle.” Whether he’ll be typecast because of Mr. Robot: “It’s something that I think about daily. I don’t want people to look back and think, “This character was entirely in his wheelhouse, and he’s probably going to end up playing a bunch of paranoid guys who have conspiracy theories.” Which could easily happen! I’ve had my fair share of 1970s conspiracy movies delivered over. I would love to turn around and do something polar opposite, and that might actually be happening soon. If the right people are involved and the script is just as powerful, I’d like to make some even crazier choices.” [From Interview Magazine] True story: I really did try to get into Mr. Robot during the first season but I just couldn’t. It was too dark and I kept losing track of the evil characters. Maybe I’ll give it another shot, because there are some hardcore devotees. As for Rami being typecast… one of my favorite pieces of trivia about him is that he was in both of the Night At the Museum movies. And he was in Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2. He won’t be typecast! Tom Hiddleston & Taylor Swift fly into LAX: is Tom ‘tired’ of all the photo-ops?

The Great & Glorious Tiddlebanging of 2016 has NEW PHOTOS. And they are pretty great photos, let me tell you. Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston were photographed at LAX last night, flying into LA from the East Coast. Tom and Taylor presumably were flying in from Rhode Island, which is where they were for the Taymerica Fourth of July celebrations. What’s interesting about these photos… well, SO MUCH is interesting. Reportedly, they are en route to Australia, where Tom will be filming Thor: Ragnarok. There were some theories floating around that The Glorious Tiddlesbang party would be over as soon as Tom left for Australia. But look! Tay-Tay is coming with him, maybe! She doesn’t have anything to do this summer, honestly. Her tour is over, she doesn’t have an album to promote, all she has to do is write and record music, which she’s probably doing as we speak anyway. They have recording studios and producers in Australia! What else is interesting? Tom does seem protective of Taylor, in that boyfriend-esque way. This is their airport debut, and their body language seems fine. He even put his arm around her as they made their way through LAX (with her bodyguards in tow). In other Glorious Tiddlesbanging news, The Daily Mail made a big deal about how Taylor had a professional photographer documenting all of the “fun” and “spontaneity” at her Taymerica party. I’m not bothered by the idea of Taylor hiring a professional photographer to document the party – considering how much thought and money went into the party, it would have been strange if she hadn’t hired a photographer. But what’s weird is the dissemination of the professional photographer’s photos via the squad’s Instagram accounts. That reveals Machiavellian levels of image-control. And here’s my last thing: Even Tom Hiddleston is getting sick of the social media sensation that is #Swiddleston. Sources tell us that Taylor Swift is a “clingy girlfriend” and she initiated all the photo-ready displays of affection at her July Fourth extravaganza. The snaps show the pair frolicking in the sea and on the beach. Our spy even noticed a camera-fatigued Hiddleston sneaking off for a beer with some guys. “He seems to get tired of the endless Instagram photo opps after, like, the third hour in the water,” sniffed an insider. [From Page Six] LOL. Maybe Tom thinks that if he gets Taylor away from the squad and the machinery in America, their love can grow and deepen? Maybe that’s why she’s coming to Australia with him? Pippa Middleton steps out with her boyfriend James Matthews at Wimbledon

Finally! Pippa Middleton has been dating James Matthews – who is terribly rich, btw – since November-ish of last year. I strongly suspect that there was overlap between “the start of James Matthews” and “the end of Nico Jackson,” the British tabloids really want to marry off Pippa, so they’re not making a big deal about it. No one wants to scare this one off! So Pippa hasn’t been doing pap strolls with James Matthews, and he has not been her plus-one at any charity events. But I asked/hoped for some coupled-up photos of James and Pippa at Wimbledon and here we are! Pippa and James Matthews came out to Wimbledon on Wednesday for Roger Federer’s quarter-final match against Marin Cilic (Federer won). This really is their first official-ish public appearance together. There’s also a rumor going around that James is going to propose to Pippa in the coming months, although that story sounds like it came from Carole Middleton, so… you know, it might not happen. What do we think of James? I think… he doesn’t really look like Pippa’s type? Her previous boyfriends seemed like buff, athletic types and pretty boys. James Matthews seems sort of small and not that athletic. Maybe he has a really great personality. Pippa’s dress in these photos is Tabitha Webb. I strongly suspect that many of you Middleton-watchers are correct and Pippa is being paid to wear certain designers, or she’s getting these dresses free on the condition that she wears them to Wimbledon.
