As a person who thinks candy is a food group, this story is inconceivable to me. While promoting Central Intelligence on The Tonight show with Jimmy Fallon, Dwayne Johnson confirmed that he has not eaten candy in 27 years. After admitting he still loves his cheat days, DJ explained that candy just isn’t his thing and the last piece he had was a Twizzler while watching a movie in 1989. So Jimmy produced an assortment of treats to coax DJ to indulge after two + decades on national television. As always, DJ was happy to oblige. Dwayne Johnson shared a very interesting fact about himself with Jimmy Fallon during a recent appearance on the Tonight Show. The Central Intelligence star, who is known for sticking to a strict diet and workout regimen in order to maintain his impressive physique, admitted that he had not eaten candy since 1989. That’s right! Apparently, the professional wrestler-turned-actor managed to stay away from eating candy for nearly 27 years. When he opened up about the candy-eating hiatus to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, Dwayne made it very clear that his decision did not necessarily deal with the boundaries of his strict diet. As many of The Rock’s fans and followers already know, Dwayne is a huge fan of embracing the infamous “Cheat Day” whenever the seemingly rare opportunity to do so presents itself. “I’m just not a big ‘candy guy.’ You know, I love cheat meals. Right? I love that, but I’m just not like… a candy thing.” “It’s crazy how I remember this kind of stuff, right? It’s like ‘Rain Main.’ Twizzlers is the last [candy] I had and we were at a movie theater watching a movie.” Even though Dwayne did not remember the movie that he was watching while eating the Twizzler, it’s still somewhat impressive that he was able to identify the specific type of candy that was consumed. Jimmy Fallon was eager to try and “make a little history” by tempting Dwayne Johnson to eat candy during his Tonight Show appearance – bringing his 27-year hiatus to an end. Instead of eating the entire pack of Twizzlers – or even attempting to take a bite out of the giant gummy worm – Jimmy Fallon decided to feed Dwayne the pop rocks instead. BTW – Hecate ParenTip: Pop Rocks will entertain your children for hours on a long car ride. They will bounce of the walls when you arrive at your destination but at least your drive will be smooth. The whole segment is worth it just to see DJ seductively swing the giant gummy worm Jimmy had on hand to tempt him. The Rock and Giant Gummy Worm should become a meme. Speaking of memes, Jimmy and DJ did a high school prom skit, in which they morphed into the Ermahgerd character. The skit’s okay but they look fantastic. Kendall Jenner thinks Stephanie Seymour ‘publicly shamed’ her with a mild insult

As we discussed earlier this week, Stephanie Seymour kind-of sort-of threw a little shade on the current crop of Insta-models, meaning Kendall Jenners and Gigi Hadids of the world, the ones who get jobs because of nepotism and social media. Personally, I agreed with what Stephanie had to say – she just pointed out that in her era, the 1980s, supermodels were the real deal. She said Kendall and Gigi “are completely different than we were. Supermodels are sort of the thing of the past. They deserve their own title. [Kendall and Gigi] are beautiful girls, and I support all of them, but they need their own title.” As in, don’t call them “supermodels,” which I agree with. Then Stephanie was asked what their new title should be and jokingly said “bitches of the moment.” Well, you can guess what happened next. Kendall Jenner got her panties in a wad! Kendall wrote about it on her kendallj.com site: “Gigi sent me the most recent rant and I’m disappointed. If you’re going to tell us not to be in ‘your moment,’ then don’t be in mine! No one is trying to steal Stephanie Seymour’s thing, or trying to be her. I actually looked up to her. She has a daughter! I guarantee you that she didn’t imagine someone so publicly shaming her daughter when she made those comments about us being ‘bitches of the moment.’” “Being a ‘supermodel’ is a relative term. If people want to call Gigi and I supermodels now, it doesn’t take anything away from supermodels of the past. Obviously, I have so much respect for those women, but right now, we’re the models of this time. Significant? Maybe. Hardworking? For sure.” “When I’m older, I’m going to be so nice to anyone who’s trying to do the same thing as me. There are other supermodels who give me tips and build up my confidence, sending me notes after a spread comes out, saying, ‘You’re killing it.’ That’s the classy way to behave and I fully intend on being a positive influence on anyone younger than me, my entire life.” [From Us Weekly] “Publicly shaming”??? Stephanie made a quip and maybe it could be taken as an insult, but it’s not SHAMING. I also disagree with Kendall about how calling the Instamodels “supermodels” doesn’t take away from the past. It really, really does. Maybe Kendall and Gigi will have 15-year careers and they’ll be on every cover, etc, and then we’ll be able to say “Yeah, they were great and they were definitely supermodels.” But right now, looking at their meager careers, they should not be called supermodels because they just haven’t put in the work. And if Kendall really is going to try to build that kind of career, she needs to learn to shrug it off when there’s one person who isn’t kissing her ass. Kendall and Gigi should have just let Stephanie say her piece and left it at that. We can argue about whether Stephanie meant to be petty – I don’t think she was, really – but can we all agree that Kendall has been infected with Special Snowflake Syndrome? Amber Heard & Johnny Depp’s restraining order hearing has been postponed

I was being completely selfish about Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s scheduled restraining order hearing. All I kept thinking was, “Is every entertainment journalist and gossip blogger going to have to hang around for hours on a Friday afternoon and evening to learn the details about the hearing?” But it looks like the much-anticipated hearing has been postponed. And Amber Heard wants you to know that it wasn’t her call. The postponement came after a conference call between Depp’s lawyer, Laura Wasser, Amber’s lawyer and the judge. Wasser asked for the continuance and Wasser also wanted the judge to give both sides to talk about a settlement. Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s hearing on domestic violence claims has been pushed to August, and a temporary restraining order against the actor has been reissued, PEOPLE has confirmed. The former couple were set to face off in a Los Angeles courtroom to address Heard’s domestic violence restraining order request. The hearing “was advanced and vacated,” the L.A. County Superior Court said in a statement after a phone conference involving Depp and Heard’s lawyers. The official hearing on Heard’s permanent restraining order request has been rescheduled for Aug. 15 and 16, but a status conference has been set for Aug. 2. Heard and Depp are not required to attended the status conference. A source tells PEOPLE that Depp’s attorney Laura Wasser asked for a continuance to postpone the hearing. [From People] It doesn’t surprise me that the hearing has been postponed, although it would surprise me if Amber and her lawyers were seriously considering a settlement. Just my opinion: Amber has Depp by the short hairs and she could probably run the table for a possible settlement, but everything seems to indicate that she wants her day in court. Will Amber hold out until August? It could go either way, depending on Depp’s ability to agree to Amber’s terms, I would guess. In the lead-up to the postponement, Amber and Johnny’s teams were sniping at each other in the press too. TMZ reported earlier Thursday afternoon that Depp wanted the postponement and he was willing to come to the table and negotiate a settlement for everything, including spousal support. Amber’s team then leaked stories about how she would never settle and that Depp is “terrified about what she’ll say on the stand.” There was also some question about why Amber was in LA this week when she had told everybody that she would be in London for costume fittings. According to TMZ, she returned to LA early because the Aquaman/Justice League costumers thought she was too skinny for a fitting. Apparently, she’s lost 20 pounds in the past few months just from the stress. Omar Mateen’s Ex-Wife Describes Shooter’s Gay Tendencies, Rage

Was Omar Mateen gay? The ex-wife of the Orlando nightclub shooter and her fiance certainly don't seem shocked by that recent assertion. In the wake of shocking claims about the gunman's sexuality, Sitora Yusufiy made comments of her own in an interview that back them up. Yusufiy, who was married to Mateen in 2009 for four months, and Marco Dias, to whom she is now engaged, sat down with SBT Brazil TV. There, she opened up about her ex-husband’s alleged past. Speaking in Portuguese on Yusufiy’s behalf, Dias stated that his fiancée believed that Omar Mateen exhibited “homosexual tendencies.” He also claimed that the killer, who shot 49 people dead in an LGBT club on Sunday, was derided as gay in front of her by his father. Yusufiy previously called Mateen abusive and unstable. "When we had gotten married, he confessed to me about his past that was recent at that time," she recalls. "He very much enjoyed going to clubs and the nightlife and there was a lot of pictures of him,” she explained. “I feel like it’s a side of him or a part of him that he lived but probably didn’t want everybody to know about.” When asked if she believed Mateen was gay, Yusufiy responded, “I don’t know," but implicitly commented that it was possible, even likely. "He never personally or even physically made any indication while we were together of that, but he did feel very strongly about homosexuality.” As reported earlier, patrons at Pulse nightclub, where he committed the worst shooting in U.S. history, believe they saw Mateen there regularly. One customer recalled to the Orlando Sentinel: “Sometimes he would go over in the corner and sit and drink by himself, and other times he would get so drunk he was loud and belligerent.” “We didn’t really talk to him a lot, but I remember him saying things about his dad at times. He told us he had a wife and child.” One of the gunman’s former classmates also opened up about his alleged homosexuality, saying he once asked him out “romantically.”

Duchess Kate repeats a red Catherine Walker ensemble: fab or drab?

RED HEELS!!!!!! Duchess Kate is wearing red heels! No wedges of doom. No nude pumps. No beige stilettos. She’s wearing honest-to-God red heels! And they’re good, aren’t they? I also have to say, I’ve always had a great deal of affection for Kate in red. She wears a lot of blue, probably because she A) thinks blue is her signature color and B) wants everything to match Big Blue, her sapphire engagement ring. But red looks amazing on her and she wears it too infrequently. These photos are from yesterday’s Order of the Garter ceremony at Windsor Castle, William and Kate’s fourth public outing in as many days. Kate’s Catherine Walker dress and coat were repeats, but I actually didn’t remember them. She wore this ensemble for the first time in 2011, during her first royal tour to Canada. She actually styled it differently this time too – she wore her hair back and she wore a rather fancy hat. She accessorized with the same diamond drop earrings that she wore for her wedding (purchased as a gift by her parents), a silver pendant (which she has been wearing a lot lately) and an Art Deco-ish bracelet, which we’ve seen before. I’m totally fine with the whole look. And I’ll say again: she should seriously consider adding more red pieces to her wardrobe. And just say no to nude heels! Meanwhile, Vanity Fair reports that William and Kate will be stopping by the Royal Ascot this week “much to the Queen’s delight.” After a spectacular turn out for the Queen’s 90th birthday over the weekend, the royals will be out in full force again this week to celebrate Royal Ascot. Royal Watch has learned that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will make their debut at the annual race meet/high-society outing in Berkshire, much to the Queen’s delight. In the past, William and Kate have always turned down offers to join the Queen and her guests in the Royal Enclosure, but this year they are turning out as a birthday surprise for the Queen, who has attended every Royal Meeting at the Ascot during her reign. “They know how much Ascot means to the Queen and they will be there for one day this week,” says a source about the event, which commences Tuesday. “They will enjoy an afternoon in the royal box with Her Majesty.” [From Vanity Fair] What’s interesting to me is that the Queen has requested their presence apparently multiple times over the past five years and they were always too “busy,” I suppose? I always imagined that when the Queen asks you to go somewhere, it’s not a request, it’s an order. However will William and Kate recuperate from this harried work schedule? Amber Rose has a new talk show! The Amber Rose Show is a weekly, not daily, talk show on VH1 and it debuts on July 8th at 11 pm. Considering the late-night scheduling and the fact that her show is on cable, I’m guessing that it will be pretty dirty and funny. It will also be sex-positive, at least that’s Amber’s goal. Amber chatted with the NYDN about her show and of course she had to throw a little bit of shade on Kim Kardashian and her family. Even though Amber and Kim have met up and sipped the tea, that doesn’t mean that Amber won’t take a few swipes here and there. On her beef with Kylie Jenner & Khloe Kardashian last year: “Being a dancer and dealing with older men, gave me the humility and knowledge to speak on such a subject [of Tyga and Kylie].” Why the Kardashians are famous: “But let’s face it. The only reason these girls have a career is because their older sister had a little fun on tape.” A sex-positive show: “I definitely wanted a platform to talk about ‘sex-positive’ and other issues to show people who I really am.” Hearing the comment “Women should avoid dressing like sluts in order not to be victimized”: “I deal with talk like that every day. I recently dealt with that when my ex (Kanye) said he had to take 30 showers after he’d been with me. We were happy when we were together and now I’m getting slut-shamed because we’re not anymore . . . and it’s unfair. I’m sick of it . . . and I’m here for my girls.” How she ended up with a talk show produced by Dr. Phil: The walk ended up on VH1 after she did a “slut-shaming” segment promoting the event on the Dr. Phil-produced “The Doctors.” “The producers loved me and told me I needed my own show. Dr. Phil was blown away by the pilot and he and his team have been helping me get my chops up . . . I’m being schooled by the best in the business.” [From The NYDN] I remember a time when Dr. Drew Pinsky did Loveline and that was one of the most sex-positive things on TV. And now Dr. Drew is using really sick people for ratings and Dr. Phil is suddenly the arbiter of sex-positivity? Wonders never cease. Anyway, it will be interesting to see if Amber’s show is successful. I think she’ll probably be a decent weekly talk show host, but I’m not sure if this particular show and format will be good for her. As for what she says about the Kardashians… no lies detected!
